The atmosphere in the room was happy and calm. Quiz with some residents causing lots of laughter. My sister and I took part too! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Mum enjoyed her tea and shortbread biscuits. Really pleasant visit today. Reassured every time we visit that the staff are caring for her to the best of their ability.

Spotlessly clean, excellent care and best of all kindness, compassion and attention from an excellent team who always seem to look for extra ways to make residents feel at home. Even great care is taken over residents' laundry which is delivered to each room and hung up.

Amy Woodgate House is an amazing care home, the staff are outstanding and very caring. Amy Woodgate House is always spotless, clean and very welcoming. It is a home-from-home. I wouldn't want my father to be anywhere else.

The family are very happy with the care as is mum. She loves being at the care-home. The food is excellent, the permanent staff are caring and show much care towards the residents. I had a meeting with the manageress which went very well regarding a few things and agency staff which hopefully will not be present at the care home, permanent care staff are preferred than agency.

Mum is often confused. The staff know her well. One lady brought her a cup of tea, which she loved. They can comfort her. Today I left her about to do cooking with the activity coordinator. Earlier, she'd been singing along to some old music playing in the background, the words of which came back to her. She no longer knows who I am, her other children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren - all of whom she had hands-on contact with. She couldn't be in a better place. Forever grateful to the staff.

Though my wife has been there since January 2023, she seems to be much more settled without any doubt. Any comment is based on the short time I can visit because of my mobility due to attending dialysis three times a week.

My husband has young onset dementia and admitting him to residential care was the hardest decision. I couldn't wish for a more caring environment for him. Carers treat him with respect and compassion. They make a horrible situation more bearable.

Really pleased with the care given to our sister over the year she has been here. She is happy and content. We also had a fun day Saturday which was great fun. Staff are excellent. So happy with the choice we made.

We are extremely grateful to the management and staff of Amy Woodgate House for the care and support they give to our sister. Her happiness and contentment with her new home are reassuring to the whole family, Amy Woodgate manages to successfully blend efficiency and security with compassion and empathy. Today was very enjoyable. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The BBQ was delicious, and the music was lovely. The drinks, alongside the games and quizzes, were very fun.

Our mum is always treated with respect and kindness. The carers (and all staff) actually do care. There are activities and events organised for the residents and also their loved ones. I'm very grateful for the time, effort and care that's given to our mum. Thank you.

After a wobbly start, Amy Woodgate House is now very good. Activities are excellent, the food is good and the care is good, perhaps a few more professional people. Overall very good. Good management.

I am very happy with Amy Woodgate House, very efficient, happy staff at all levels. The building is always clean, tidy and warm. My mother is always very happy which is excellent. She is always clean and nicely dressed. Any medical problem or issue is resolved quickly and efficiently. My mother cannot join in with a lot of the entertainment (mentally) but always enjoys the music. I am very happy with the service.

Mum has been at Amy Woodgate since November 2022 and we are very happy with the home. When we looked at a few homes, it was here that we kept comparing to, as we instantly felt it was right for my mum. It was recommended by a friend whose mum is a resident. There was a gut feeling straight away, just like when you choose a house. We visit often and every staff member we meet is personable, kind and caring, even though we know she can be a challenge at times. We can't thank them enough for making mum so welcome and making the transition so smooth after us making a very difficult decision to place her in a care home nearer to us. After living in her house for 50 years we are astonished how well she has adapted to her new environment. This is a credit to her and the great staff here. She's eating well now and her mobility has really improved and she is always clean. They have a dedicated activities organiser so there's always something going on. Keep up the great work Amy Woodgate!

The team at Amy Woodgate have been very responsive to mum's needs and have given her excellent support, respectful of her and her wishes at all times. We as a family are consulted if decisions need to be made for mum and concerns are listened to and addressed.
