View Full Details of Anjulita CourtI would just like to say how amazing Anjulita Court is. My Auntie is in there and has been in there since the end of December. She has settled really well and is happy. Her room is lovely, the facilities are great, she loves books, there is a library. I was particularly impressed with the research they did. They wanted to know all about Auntie as a person, not just a client, her likes and dislikes, her past and present, her interests, her achievements etc. She is not just a number on a door, she's a person. The staff, what can I say, are professional, highly trained, really efficient, really good at their job but also, incredibly kind, caring, funny, they interact with the clients in a way that goes above and beyond their job description. I and my family would like to say a huge, thank you.
Anjulita Court in general is a very well-run care home with amazing staff. The level of care shown to my mother has been exceptional, particularly by the whole care team on Mill. My mother has some complex needs and the staff deal with this brilliantly, accommodating those needs with empathy and care. I am always updated on her well-being. Everything is always very clean, the food is very good and the staff are warm and friendly. I have experienced a few care homes over the years and Anjulita is by far one of the best I have seen. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mother is safe and very well looked after. Thank you all and special thanks to all the staff on Mill.
Although I am a friend, I am next of kin to a husband and wife who went into Anjulita Court in May 2023. Every time I went to visit them, they both said they were so happy there and well cared for and they loved the meals. It is such good value for money. Sadly the husband died suddenly just before Christmas, but their care and support of his wife has been amazing. I know that and the support of another friend who lives there has been a great help to her. The husband wasn't always easy due to dementia, but their care of them both has been above and beyond. I have visited many care homes but Anjulita Court has been the best one I have seen. The manager and staff have always been very caring and helpful to me as well.
As a family, we are very happy with the care that Mum is given. The staff are always very attentive and helpful. They are professional and keen to do everything to make Mum happy and comfortable. Last year Mum had a cut on her leg. We were informed about it immediately and were well supported during the time when Mum had to go to hospital and during her subsequent recovery. In summary, we are very pleased with the care home and would happily recommend it to others.
I can not speak highly enough about this home. My Dad was in respite while my partner and I went away for 12 days and the care was second to none. It is clean, tidy, warm and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The admin staff, special mention to one man who could not have been more helpful. My dad only has mobility issues and no dementia concerns and he has said that he would be more than happy to revisit when we have a few days away in the future. We just wanted him to be safe as even though he lives with us and is fairly independent his mobility and stability are not good and he frequently falls. This gives us peace of mind whilst we are away. Even though my dad did not take part in any activities, his choice, I know from the program that there is more than enough to keep residents occupied. We have already pencilled in some future dates.
Despite my husband being a challenging resident, having good cognitive powers to make known his wishes, but minimal movement, the staff at Anjulita Court show immense patience in delivering his care to a very high standard.
I was under pressure to find respite quickly after my mother had fallen at home and was in the hospital, I was booked to travel to Australia for a long time and made arrangements to visit our son. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind in the speed with which they accommodated us in this endeavour.
My mother has dementia. The care at Anjulita is excellent, the staff do genuinely care about her and as she has deteriorated and become more difficult they have adjusted very well. They have also supported us as her relatives when we have been distressed by her behaviour. The modern building is ideal and the garden a bonus as Mum needs to get outside often, she has had individual care for this and we appreciate that. I cannot express how lucky I feel that we have found a care home where we feel happy that she is well looked after and that she is as happy as she can be in her present state.
My husband's care has been second to none. In addition, I have also been supported and cared for during a difficult time in our lives. All the staff are considerate, kind and understanding. The cleanliness and the food are wonderful and personal laundry is very efficient and carefully delivered daily.
As I watched the preparations for Christmas taking place the atmosphere at the home was excellent in so much that everyone wanted to ensure that the residents enjoyed the festivities provided by the local rock choir, the traditional Carol concert, the Christmas jumper parade and the excellent food cooked and served over the Christmas and New Year period. The home was decorated beautifully and Christmas certainly came to the home. A wonderful time was had.
I visit every 6 months and live abroad - I call every weekend and whether I visit or call I always receive a great reception - when I visit I can see how well Mum is looked after - she's happy - content and loves the care staff and hospitality team - the staff and management team always take time out to talk to the residents and treat them all as a family - I feel the same way when I visit or call - it's home from home - amazing caring staff making the home safe for my mum and clean and tidy throughout - The food is great and the atmosphere all very welcoming.
During the past few months my mother's health has deteriorated and she was put on end-of-life care. Due to the good quality of care and communication with various members of the family, we have been reassured that she is in the best place! The staff have been accommodating to our needs and have liaised well with different parties to ensure she has been comfortable at all times. Recently Mum's health has improved again and the carers have made sure she has fluids and food suitable for her needs. We are pleased with both their efforts and communication during a difficult time. Thank you all.
My mother has been here for 20 months now and is very happy. She is well looked after and needs increasing amounts of support. All the staff are very friendly, and if I notice anything amiss that they may not have spotted I just need to mention it and it is looked at straight away. The management of the home is good, food seems to be good (although my mother has dementia and doesn't remember eating it most of the time). Mum doesn't really take part in the activities, but that is her choice and she is asked but never forced to. We visit as often as we can and she's always happy to see us (even if she's not always sure who my brother is). My husband and I have started doing some singing for the residents every couple of months and that is appreciated, but we're happy to help out. We only charge tea and biscuits! I am so pleased Mum went here as we've never had any complaints and feel like part of the Anjulita Court family!!
I am very pleased with the care my mother receives. The staff are kind and caring, and take the time and trouble to respond to her needs. The rooms and facilities are excellent, modern with plenty of space. The feel of the place, right from the large open atrium, is welcoming and is clean, it does not smell of ‘ old people’! There are nice gardens and courtyards for the residents to use. It is good to see that the manager and key staff stay, which is the sign of a well-managed unit. The chaplain too is super and provides whole family support if needed. I am very satisfied with the care given and that my mother is well supported and cared for and would highly recommend Anjulita Court.
We have both parents in the home. In different areas and we are very happy with the standard of care they are both receiving. The staff are always very helpful. We have had no problems in the six months they have been there.
I find all staff are caring and friendly, and are always ready to help. The regular carers in the Mill Unit are brilliant with residents and deal with difficult jobs sensitively and with good humour, and I find they are always ready to go the extra mile.
My mum and dad are residents at Anjulita Court and are well looked after and cared for. My dad struggled to settle in when he first moved there, but all staff have gone out of their way to make adjustments to help him. He now seems really happy and clearly gets on well with the staff. The staff have arranged for Mum and Dad to eat their lunch together in an area which works well for both of them, even though they have different care needs. It is sometimes difficult to call the home, particularly after office staff have left for the day, and there have been occasions when I have noticed that I have been called and not been able to get in touch when I call back.
Both my parents were/are residents of Anjulita Court, and I cannot fault the care that they received. The staff are all very kind and understanding with my mother. I would recommend Anjulita Court to anyone looking for care or respite.
Since my mum and dad moved into Anjulita Court in December 2023, the staff have been nothing but helpful with their transition. The care that all of the staff and volunteers show to the residents is so lovely to see, and since my mum sadly passed away last April, my dad is still settled and comfortable living there. My brother and I could not have found a more wonderful place for our parents to be and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for themselves or a family member/s.
Very helpful staff on my last visit to my sister. Anjulita Court seemed very clean and fresh. The garden is a real asset, and my sister enjoys this and the activities such as poetry readings. Very attractive architecture.
