View Full Details of Cedar Court Care HomeAmazing staff they really look after the residents. A nice and clean environment, and there is lots of activities for residents. Lovely place located at a good area close to town. Overall, a great place.
Staff very kind and attentive. Always willing to help.
My husband has only been in Cedar Court Care Home for a couple of months. We have found them very caring and mindful of all there needs. I am happy they are looking after him, as I no longer can. I also had a very nice Christmas dinner with him, which I really enjoyed. It is not an easy job and they all do their best. I have filled in activities because my husband cannot join in as he cannot stand or walk or communicate very well and I am not there to see what they do in the morning but I know they try to get him interested in things.
My father was lucky enough to call Cedar Court home. All the staff are absolutely amazing. We sadly lost our Dad in August and the compassion and kindness we received from staff at Cedar Court really shows how outstanding the care is. The home is friendly, clean and so welcoming to all. Dad loved having the grandchildren to visit and we would enjoy an afternoon in the garden playing dominos or watching TV together. Cedar Court is home from home, one big family, and I would like to thank everyone for everything they did for Dad in the five years he was there. I would highly recommend this wonderful home.
My sister was transferred to Cedar Court in August - requiring a lot of nursing care. I have on every occasion witnessed a very caring environment and from the front entrance onwards, all members of staff have been very courteous and caring. The home is very clean and my sister's room is spacious and a very safe environment. All questions I have asked are always provided with answers from relevant staff. My sister, now settled, appears very contented and responds positively to start conversation. She is very happy.
The staff are very attentive to my wife's needs and perform an excellent service. The manager and her staff always keep in communication with myself. I could not wish for a better care home for my wife to be accommodated in. As a relative, the staff always make me feel welcome when I visit my wife. They perform all their duties to an excellent standard.
The home is friendly and generally calm. The staff are helpful. The home is clean and well maintained. I always get a call if my mother has a slight injury. I am aware that there are lots of activities, although my mum can't participate in them. My mum has been moved to a room which better suits her needs and that is very positive.
Cedar Court is very outstanding. The home is very clean and bright, also comfortable. The staff are very good, brilliant in fact. They work very hard to make the residents happy and looked after. They work as a team, they are very friendly and helpful. Also they make you welcome when you visit relatives. The activities team are very good, they do interesting things with the residents. I would most definitely recommend Cedar Court without a doubt.
My mother has only been there a short time, but right from the beginning the manager seems extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very passionate about her responsibilities. The admin staff are excellent - they are welcoming, efficient and very friendly. This is always an upsetting time, I have looked after my mother for years through all the stages of this terrible disease but there comes a time when you know a care home is the best place. Mum is happy, warm, well fed and most importantly CARED for.
My mum went to Cedar Court for respite care in December 2023, she didn't like it at first so I made arrangements for her to come live with me. It didn't take long for me to realise I couldn't cope with her complex needs and reluctantly she has returned to the home permanently. She has settled down now and is being cared for well by all the staff which some she knows by name. I see some of the staff downtown and they are always happy to have a chat so you feel a part of her life and of sorts a family. I still get upset that I can't have her living with me but I feel she's safe, clean and well fed.
Cedar Court seems well run and the Staff are all very friendly and caring. Everyone does their best within the service. All the residents seem very happy and enjoy the activities the team put on which residents can join in if they wish to.
Overall experience has been very good. All though my Mother has only been here a short while the staff have been excellent and very helpful.
My mother-in-law was here for end-of-life care. Only here for a couple of weeks but all the staff from the manager down, are very courteous, caring, discreet, and polite. Every member always greets in site.
Cedar Court Care Home is a lovely place, it's clean, the rooms are a good size and you're allowed to bring personal belongings to make it more homely. The staff are very caring and kind and respectful, they are lovely nurses both female and male, nothing is too much trouble for them.
My mother has been at Cedar Court for almost a year following a fall, which resulted in her being unable to return home and needing residential nursing care. The manager and staff have always been willing to discuss queries and help to solve problems as changing needs have necessitated. The team at Cedar Court appears compassionate and treats the resident with dignity and care. With no agency staff, the residents have more continuity of care, which can only ensure that the needs of the residents are known. The residents will also benefit from not continually seeing new faces. With the appointment of new activity coordinators, the benefits to the residents are noticeable. The administrative staff are very helpful.
My husband has been a resident at Cedar Court since August 2022. My husband suffers from dementia and other medical conditions, he has high needs. He was admitted to Cedar Court from the hospital as I was no longer able to meet his high needs at home. Finding a care home for my husband was very difficult as he has such high needs. The manager was kind, compassionate, and caring throughout, and it was a great relief that she was able to provide a placement for my husband. She is incredibly knowledgeable both in the practical medical side and also in the administration role. She has a great team of dedicated staff who do their utmost to ensure that residents are well looked after. There is continuity of staff looking after the resident which is a positive point. Communication is generally good. Housekeeping staff are great at finding things were inevitably do go missing from time to time. The Admin team, two of them in particular, (also a carer) are also welcoming and friendly.
My wife came to Cedar Court on 19 January 2024 following 2 or 3 stays in hospital. She was in the latter stages of breast cancer which was first diagnosed in 2019. Although she would have preferred to have been at home, her stay in Cedar Court went a long way in matching home life. The manager, the nurses and the general staff were all very professional, capable and above all very caring. I have to make special mention of the manager, who displayed an outstanding and professional administrative job in addition to a notable and practical level of medical knowledge. My wife felt safe, well looked after and cared for.
I have been in Cedar Court now for nearly 5 years. I find it is a nice home with very good caring staff. If you need anything they will do their best to help you. They are very friendly and make you feel important too. The food is very good with a good choice to pick from. The management is very good, they will listen to you and help you sort anything out, a very professional team. I would recommend Cedar Court anytime.
When looking at the home initially, the manager was very helpful. All staff have been very positive. The office staff have been very welcoming and informative. All staff appear to know the residents well. More regular activities for stimulation would be good.
My father has received nursing care at Cedar Court for over a year now and we are very happy with the service, attention to detail and quality of staff. The care home manager is very experienced and on hand, always available to discuss any aspect of care my father receives. The nursing care staff are fantastic, I cannot be happier with how my father is cared for and would recommend Cedar Court for anyone looking for excellent quality dementia care.
