View Full Details of Stretton Hall Nursing HomeWe as a family were incredibly happy with Stretton hall. The staff really display the up most professionalism, kindness and care. Bring honest in this review, the only issue we spotted were that the amount of staff seemed to decrease since the new company took on the management. All the staff deserve praise and appeared to work even harder to make up for when they were short. I hope their wage reflects their value. Thank you so much.
My wife has received excellent care and support since being admitted 6 months ago. Staff at all levels always willing and with a smile. Food tasty and varied. Accommodation spacious and constantly kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times. 24 hour nursing care very professional with excellent communication.
Stretton Hall is a care home run wholly for its residents not for any other reason, its speed of recovery after the flood is a testament to the dedication of the staff. All in all, I would recommend it to all who require compassionate care for a relative.
Every time we visit our friends who are residents at the home long term we are greeted very warmly into a lovely environment. Their rooms are spacious, clean, and warm and the staff are caring and friendly every time they come into their rooms.
Going in after the deviation of the flood and seeing the wonderful job the staff had done to get the unit back up and running, seeing the residents back and settling in. Well done to the staff and management for doing such a great job in difficult situations well done every.
The staff at Stretton Hall show dedication, empathy, and kindness every day. From the Manager and her Deputy - the home is led with professionalism and respect for residents and families alike. To the housekeepers, catering team, and maintenance. The activities provided are fun, age-appropriate, and varied for all tastes Keep up the good work.
I was most impressed with the care my late husband received at Stetton Hall recently. He had excellent care and was treated with respect and dignity. At the end of his life, I was able to be with him and I was also treated with the same respect and dignity. We couldn't have chosen a better nursing home!
My mother in law was unable to walk or stand due to a urine tract infection. I didn't think hospital was the place for her, felt she needed some tender loving care. It was quite stressful knowing what to do for the best. Rang up Stretton Hall and spoke to the amazing manager. They agreed to accept her as an emergency admission. We are so grateful. She is up and about and on her feet again. Everyone has been fantastic. Thank you.
The staff here are always friendly and welcoming and have looked after both my mother and father and I have nothing but praise for the way they go about their work. They treated my father with the utmost care and respect in his final days.
Stretton Hall cared and looked after my sister for approximately eleven months. The help and support she received was second to none. As a visitor, I was always impressed at how happy and friendly all the staff are. Growing old and frail is difficult to manage, but my sister received the best care she could have hoped for. Thank you for your support.
Stretton Hall is a very good nursing home with good workers and carers and good food. Looked after my wife for almost 15 months. Excellent home.
We could not have wished for a better place for my dear relative of 94 years to have spent his last days. From beginning to end, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The room was spacious, warm, clean and comfortable with an outlook onto trees and a garden. We cannot praise and thank the staff enough for their endearing smiles, kindness and compassion they showed to our relatives and to family and friends who visited.
The whole experience of having my mother and father-in-law in Stretton Hall has been a positive one. The staff at Stretton Hall cannot do enough for them. It's obviously a logistical challenge when you are presented with 2 elderly people within a few months who both require nursing care and who would like to have rooms near each other. But they really pulled out all the stops for them so they could have rooms almost adjacent. They even offered to turn one room into a shared bedroom and the other a living room. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities are excellent, more like a hotel than a care home. The previous care home in Ludlow was very sterile and not homely, whereas Stretton Hall has a lovely feel about it. Special mention to the staff members who we have had cause to deal with regularly but in reality all of the staff and the entertainment that Stretton Hall brings in from outside are awesome. Thanks for taking great care of them.
Very nice staff, lots of entertainment and very good care.
It was Mum's Birthday and staff came round to sing 'Happy Birthday'. All staff are lovely. We need clarity from home owners on attendance allowance value.
Excellent.
My father spent four months at Stretton Hall when he became too frail to stay at home. The care and attention, kindness and consideration shown by the whole staff was exemplary, right from his first day until the day he died. I could not recommend this home more highly to anyone needing care and attention in their final days.
Overall, I am delighted and really appreciate the care my Mum has received over the last 21 months. Warm, friendly, responsive staff who engage professionally, constructively and co-operatively with the residents and family. For all categories, I wanted to give an 'excellent' rating but feel that in reality, they don't quite make it - very good usually but not excellent, why? Not enough attention to detail, which actually is extremely important. The fees and the huge increase can never be value for money.
Following spells of respite care during 2022, my husband has been permanently in Stretton Hall since January 2023. At all times he has been cared for with respect and concern. As I am no longer able to look after him at home, Stretton Hall is the next best thing.
My mum has been well looked after at Stretton Hall. She recently lost her husband and all the staff have been supportive, inviting her to join in activities, socialise and helping her adjust. The activities coordinator organises a wonderful range of activities building on the interests of residents, with regular outings too. Every day, Mum gets to choose from an impressive menu and she enjoys eating in a homely, restaurant environment with others. The menus are planned based on the residents feedback, and adapted to suit individual preferences and needs. She can also choose to eat in her comfortable room, if she prefers. Everyone on the staff team works extremely hard to meet the needs of residents treating them with dignity and respect, and always a smile. The home is clean, bright and welcoming with regular special family events as well as opportunities to share information and give feedback.
