View Full Details of Canning Court Care HomeMy wife moved in Cannon Court nearly a month ago moving from a different care home, where so was undergoing NHS CHC assessment. I am delighted with the whole experience at Cannon Court, from transition from her previous home to here. The building is excellent and all the staff are so supportive of my wife, who can be quite difficult at times. I attend every day to see my wife and my personal observations are that staff perform their roles with real empathy and support the residents with their individual needs. There is a good link with the local GP surgery and I am kept up to date on all developments.
I come every Friday morning to see my friend. I have grown up knowing him and he has always been there to help me.
I would like to thank all the staff at Canning Court Care Home for looking after my mother. We are moving her to be nearer to me. The staff have gone out of their way to make mum and her family feel welcome and supported. One member of staff in particular went above and beyond to help us move mum into Canning at very difficult time. Many thanks again from all her family.
When it comes to individual departments, they are very professional, not only to residents but to relatives as well. I am very well informed, along with my family, about my brother's health, medication and moods. I am kept well informed of any changes in his moods and care.
A home is only as good as its staff. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful at all times, always cheerful and smiling.
My mum was at Canning Court for a very short time receiving end of life care. For the short time she was there the staff were very friendly and looked after her very well. She was treated and respected very well.
I am very pleased with the care my husband receives at Canning Court, it's evident that the staff have taken the time to get to know him and recognise his character and personality, they speak warmly about him which is so reassuring. There is a lovely calm atmosphere. The activities are so important for the residents and it's great to see him engaging with these when I visit and reassuring to see him taking part in these when I'm not there through social media photos. The meals are also of good quality with lots of encouragement for him to eat, which is a positive as his appetite has decreased as his illness has progressed.
When visiting our friend in the care home, my husband and I have always been very impressed with the calm atmosphere, the attention paid to residents by the staff and the patience shown by all of the staff. We visit 2-3 times each week and are welcomed by name, often by more than one of the carers. Whenever our friend (the resident) rings the bell, it is answered quickly and the carers are always reassuring. It is a pleasure to visit and we feel like 'one of the family'.
My Grandmother was very worried about moving to care but the staff here made her feel settled and at home so quickly. Everyone is patient and kind, nothing is too much trouble and the whole family feels reassured and taken care of.
The reception staff are very welcoming and give a great first impression of the home. Care staff are very caring towards the residents and always sure they are comfortable and well looked after. Overall Canning Court is an excellent home.
I feel very grateful and lucky that my Mum's care is in such a wonderful care home as Canning Court. Everyone is very welcoming and kind and I know Mum is in safe hands. I feel very supported and am very thankful for everyone's help. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you.
When we first visited Canning Court it looked clean, modern, and comfortable. My husband was there for a year and I couldn't praise the staff enough. I visited almost every day and always found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasure to go there. I always felt that he was well looked after by everyone there. I would like to mention how lovely and kind the doctor was when she came to see him. Although his last year was very difficult, I was so pleased that we had chosen Canning Court.
At first, things were difficult because my husband went into the care home during the lockdown and I couldn't visit him because of the restrictions, it was hard for both of us. But eventually, things changed and he settled in well. He was cared for well and always enjoyed his food. Even when he developed other health problems nothing was too much for the carers. I have always appreciated how well he was looked after, I couldn't have done it myself.
My mother is a recent resident. All the staff are very friendly and dedicated. My mother is well cared for and encouraged be take part in activities.
Good service, carers treat patients with respect and ensure their well-being.
Nana is very happy at Canning Court Care Home.
Care staff are wonderful, always genuinely loving towards residents. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is great, the home is always clean and warm.
Mum is well looked after. The staff are very friendly and caring. The staff numbers are a little inadequate in order to give residents interaction and support when needed.
We found on moving here on August 28th a very nice room waiting for us. The staff were very good and helpful in explaining to us and answering our questions. We were also shown the lounges and dining room. The laundry was a little 'hit and miss' to begin with but now is very good and housekeeping staff are very helpful. Meals are usually varied and presented well. There is always a choice of two main courses. Could do with an extra person to help with people who require help to eat etc. All in all, we feel happy and safe with the care provided.
Mum is being cared for very well. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. However, they are always very busy. Could probably do with an extra member of staff on the floor, maybe to be able to interact with the residents more when they are upset and stay with them for a while.
