View Full Details of Richmond Care HomeOverall standards are good. Mum seems to have settled in nicely, staff are very kind and helpful. Certain days seem low on staff and waiting to gain entrance and exit from home, it can take about 15 mins some days.
My mum has been a resident for only 3 weeks and what a difference I have seen in her, she has been welcomed and is treated with dignity, she looks happy and is always clean as are her clothes. The food looks lovely and mum is eating well. Her room is lovely recently refurbished with bright colours, and residents are allowed to personalise their rooms, tv, shelving, photos etc. making the surroundings more familiar for them. All the staff are amazing and attend to all her needs. The activities are varied and a singer comes along once a month. I was very apprehensive about a care home for mum, her mobility has failed her at 90 so can no longer live at home, but can honestly say it's the best thing for her. Thanks to the staff and the manager for making her feel welcome, and any questions are always dealt with promptly, the manager and the staff are always very approachable and very caring. It's a pleasure visiting mum, Thank you Richmond care home.
The Richmond Care Home looks after Mum with such compassion, maintaining her dignity at all times. They undertake their duties with kindness and a smile, with an understanding which is also extended to other family members. Her room is large and well-maintained, and all needs are taken care of by the friendly staff. Residents are very well catered for, with good food choices, and regular entertainment events. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home.
My mum moved into Richmond in October and was made a full-time resident in December. All the staff have helped her to settle into the home, they are all very considerate and treat her with respect. I can honestly say they are a lovely team, and she is very happy there.
The Richmond is such a lovely friendly welcoming home. When my grandma moved in she was feeling very nervous and scared. The staff was so lovely and welcomed Grandma into her new home. Nothing was too much. They made us as a family feel at ease. We knew we had made the right choice of home. On our visit, Grandma always looked clean and well looked after. She was happy and smiling again. She was eating better and even gained weight which as a family was a big concern before she arrived at the home. The food always looks lovely and fresh. I found Grandma even joining in with activities with other residents. The manager was great if we had any questions always willing to give us his time and to reassure us of any worries we had. His presence in the home chatting to all the residents and making them smile and laugh was so nice to see. We can see how much the home has changed our grandma's life. She is smiling and laughing again. Can't thank the staff and management enough.
My mam came into Richmond in August and it has been a breath of fresh air for her, the home is clean and tidy. The carers are 1st class and can't do enough for the residents, the Manager is nice and very approachable. Since my mam has been in the care home she has put weight on having a good selection of food. As a family, we didn't want her to go into care but it's the best thing we could have done, keep up the good work Richmond.
Richmond is such a lovely warm care home with friendly faces that welcome visitors. My aunty is treated with respect and dignity and the staff are fantastic. Any questions and queries are always dealt with and visits to the home are a delight, especially the events.
Walking into Richmond Care Home and having our first chat with the manager was heart-warming. Before viewing the rooms we felt we had finally found a forever home for my brother-in-law. The gentleman covered everything we needed to know about the care they gave. Safety, individual needs, and a slow pace to gain my brother's-in-laws trust. It was so calm as we looked around, neat and tidy corridors, happy staff, and the gentlemen had smiles and kind words for the residents. After 8 months as a resident, my brother-in-law is settled and responding to the carers and his appetite is the best it has been in years. The food is excellent, and many thanks to the Chef. The shower room and bathroom are always clean and nothing is stored in there that doesn't belong. The home looks amazing due to the refurbishment, still, there is always that wonderful calm when you visit. The whole team has become part of our family caring for my brother-in-law. The professional care is excellent. We are so grateful to you all thank you.

My husband has been a resident at Richmond Care Home for 10 months now. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease at which both my husband and myself were warmly welcomed into the community of this care home. The ambience from management and all staff is always caring and helpful. The meals are homemade and there is always a well balanced menu offered on a daily basis. Also the food is well presented. The activities are stimulating and tailored to suit the ability and age groups within the home. My husband enjoys outings and special events whenever possible. Other visitors always receive a considerate and warm welcome from all staff. I have already recommended it to friends who decided for their husband to become a resident within the care home and would happily do so again in the future.
My cousin came to live at the Richmond in December and I am pleased with the care she receives from everyone there. The facilities are fantastic with activities every day if she wants to join the groups, the meals are excellent all home cooked on the premises. Last but not least, the staff, from the carers to the kitchen staff, handyman, office staff, laundry ladies and activity coordinator are all genuine and respectful people.

The office staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
I have only got very positive things to say about Richmond Care Home. Mum is treated with dignity and respect, and a lot of kindness. The transition into the home was handled perfectly by the manager and her team. Since then Mum has been looked after and cared for in the way we had always hoped she would be. It is a very clean place, the food is very good and the staff are fabulous. It is so difficult to know what to do for the best for your loved ones. We are so pleased that we chose The Richmond.
Mum joined Richmond Care Home in November 2021. This was a difficult time for all concerned as it was in the middle of Covid and all that entailed. During covid restrictions, full PPE was always used by staff and guidelines were adhered to. This gave reassurance that all precautions were being taken to keep the residents safe. From day one the staff without exception always showed Mum compassion, affection and care. When Mum returned to the Richmond after a trip out, there was always someone waiting to welcome her back and give her a hug to reassure her. Usually with the promise of a cup of tea and a biscuit. Her room specifically and the communal areas were always spotlessly clean. Everywhere smelled fresh and clean.
Very helpful and friendly staff and I find a nice environment when visiting. Staff go the extra mile to help whenever I am there. Mother enjoys her meals and she has physically improved immensely since being in their care.

We have been friends and neighbours for over 25 years of a resident in Richmond. He had been diagnosed with dementia and gradually over time his condition worsened and he could not manage in his home even with help. After looking at various homes with his relatives it was decided that Richmond would provide the care he needed. Since his admission, we have found he has been well looked after and he has settled in very well. A very fussy eater the home has met all his nutrition requirements and he looks very well and has put a little weight on. Despite covid restriction the staff have accommodated our visits so we could see him. The standard of hygiene and precautions because of covid have been excellent.
