Very caring staff. Very friendly, wanting to do their best. Helped me a lot.
Excellent care received from every member of staff. You really are the best. Thank you for helping me get back on my feet. Couldn't have done it without you! Can't speak highly enough of the care I receive.
Highgrove is a care home of the highest level, made so by all the staff. Dad came here in January 2024 from difficult times, following 8 months in previous care homes. Highgrove management made time for me to discuss the situation and what they could do for Dad. From the start, the management/senior team did everything to support us, in getting Dad moved and working to settle him in. It wasn't easy, but they didn't give up on him. Not only did I finally feel supported, but I knew that Dad would receive the care he needed. I was given constant updates, the doctors and nurses that do the weekly rounds here are just as supportive. Dementia care is so difficult but everyone within Highgrove was so warm and friendly. Just a lovely care home, where all within work their hardest. I can't thank the staff enough for the care, understanding, compassion and support. The lengths they went to to ensure Dad was supported throughout, right up to his end-of-life care. Thank you will never seem enough.
Extremely excellent care given by all staff, cannot fault anybody.
From the day I went into the care home, I was very pleased. I could not believe my eyes, spot on everyone welcome you. They could do anything for you, it was as if you knew everyone. It's clean and the food is very good. I have told everyone about the place, excellent.
The staff took extremly good care of Mum during her short stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was great and plentiful.
I was recommended Highgrove by my friend whose dad had been cared for there and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who faces the very difficult decision to place a loved one into care. The staff are extremely friendly approachable and helpful from the management team who went over and above to arrange my mum's placement to the carers around the home everyone is so dedicated caring respectful and good-humoured even when faced with the most confused and difficult patients. Everywhere is kept clean and tidy bright and warm lots of activities and a very nice hairdresser. Well done Highgrove.
Over the years I have visited nursing homes throughout the UK in a professional capacity the Highgrove would definitely rate in the top 5. The staff are very understanding and caring and nothing is too much trouble if your nearest and dearest need attention. They go that extra mile when it comes to looking after the clients and providing activities such as bingo baking bowling and many more. My mum who has been in Highgrove for 8 weeks and is nearing her 100th Birthday really enjoyed her stay. From the front desk reception to all the caregivers all make you feel welcome on your visit. The cleanliness and the upkeep of the Highgrove are to a very high standard. I would personally recommend this nursing home to anyone thinking about taking that very big decision with a family member. Thank you to all the staff.
We were in a crisis moment as a family trying to care for our loved one and Highgrove was the only home we found who would take her at such short notice. They listened to the urgent need and were so understanding and yet honest about what we could expect. I do believe they saved her life by giving her the respite she was so desperate for. In her time at Highgrove, she was so well cared for, well fed and safely held in a stimulating environment as her mind and body grew stronger. Over time, she began to flourish. I cannot say too strongly how grateful we are. Do know that the work you do and the care you provide really do mean the world to those who receive it and the families who love them. Thank you so much.
We came across Highgrove Care Home by chance, as they were the only home with a respite care bed available upon Mum's discharge from hospital in May 2023. How fortunate we were that they were the ones with availability, it quickly became apparent that this was a sudden decline in Mum’s dementia. This was a journey we had not experienced with any relative previously and every single one of the care home staff not only provided the most compassionate and dedicated care for my mum but provided us as a family too, with the most invaluable support in terms of information and compassion when we struggling to make sense of how the path of decline in Mum's health within the adult social care system would pan out. My mum spent just 9 months with the team here before she sadly passed away in January of this year (2024) and right until the end, they were there every step of the way as if she was a family member to them too. What a truly incredible team of individuals you are. Thank you!
I was taken to Highgrove in November 2023. From the first moment there I was made to feel welcome and safe. I had a ground-floor room and it was lovely. The staff listened when I asked questions and if possible gave answers. I received very good care, the staff were so patient and caring. The choice of food was very good, you had choices. I was scared when I was placed here but my fears were unfounded. I was in for approximately five weeks. If I had to go back then, yes please.
An outstanding care home. The facilities are extremely clean, the staff are respectable and nothing is ever too much of an ask. Any concerns were resolved in good time and staff are always happy to support. Our experience of Highgrove was incredible. Dad was very welcomed, he settled pleasantly and remained well cared for until the very end. Staff always remained very professional and communication from them was exceptional. During and after my grandad's passing the staff remained outstanding and worked with such dignity. No thanks will ever be great enough. 5*
A very good care home, the facilities are really clean and the staff are really friendly. If you ever have any concerns, the staff are always happy to support. I would feel happy if one of my family members stayed here.
All staff were very professional and treated our mum with dignity and the care she needed. They were all friendly and caring.
My stay in Highgrove was a good experience initially I had a weight-bearing boot which needed 2 members of staff when I needed to use the toilet. This was a 5-week period but during the night was difficult to get 2 people to carry out this procedure as they were busy, doing perhaps a 2-person job, but embarrassing when one had an accident. I was then given an aero boot and a walker so was able to take myself to the bathroom. Had 1 bath and 2 showers, would have liked more but them again needed 2 staff who were not available.
Our experience of Highgrove was first class. Dad was very welcomed, he settled pleasantly in his room. Well cared for, staff very professional, communication was the key which was exceptional.
Very good, excellent.
It could not have been better. They looked after my wife to the end.
My mum went to Highgrove for respite, and I can't get her home! She loves the staff, food, activities and says they get extra treats. She has recently had her birthday and was asked to choose a birthday meal and enjoyed a lovely celebration and homemade cake. She now wants to stay here with her new friends!
Very Good.
