I moved my Mum to Silversprings for a two week respite after she come home from hospital after a fall. In these two weeks mum has become her old self again, they have helped her so much, she is in a routine that is helping with her dementia. She is eating so well and loving the daily comings and goings which give her so much to chat about . We have decided that in her best interest she is now a resident. We visit any time we like and it's such a lovely friendly home. Thank you.
All the staff from management down are so caring, professional and friendly. The care my husband is receiving in his final few months is excellent.
The staff looking after our mum was so very caring and can't thank them enough for their loving attention during Mum's stay. The food was always constantly at a good tasty level. Mum enjoyed the live entertainment when it was on. Thank you.
All the staff at Silversprings are fantastic. Our Mum has settled in well and we are happy that she is well looked after and safe. We feel welcome as a family when we visit and everyone is friendly. I would recommend this lovely home to other families.
I moved Mum to Silver Springs following two weeks of respite at another local home. In these two weeks, Mum had become a shell of her former self with no outside stimulation to help manage her dementia. After only three weeks here I can't help but feel so happy to see Mum content, eating well, and being social and the change was like day and night. The staff from management down are resident focused and as a guest I'm always made to feel welcome, it's like visiting Mum at home!
My ex-husband has only been at Silversprings Care Home for about 3 weeks. They have made him feel so welcome and included and he feels really safe. It was his birthday this weekend and at very short notice the staff sorted out a room to host a large gathering, they even decorated the room with balloons and made a huge birthday cake for him. All of the staff went above and beyond to make his day so special....even a personalised card. Myself and my daughter can't thank them enough for everything they have done for us in such a short space of time. Thank you Silversprings Care Home.
My sister-in-law was welcomed to Silversprings earlier this year. She has always been treated with respect and as an individual. It gives me peace of mind to know she has this care all day, every day. My thanks to the management and committed staff.
My wife passed away at the end of July from Alzheimer's, after spending 17 months in Silversprings where she received the best care possible. My family & I have nothing but praise for the care & consideration shown to my wife & ourselves, the staff became our extended family, and we miss them as much as our loved ones. My wife was made to feel very welcome in her new home & settled in well owing to the professionalism of care given.
For our family, Silversprings has been a life-saving experience. We were thrown into a devastating situation with my husband being discharged from the hospital for palliative care after an unexpected illness. Within days of arriving at Silversprings, his condition started to improve dramatically. The standard of kindness and care he received from the very first day has undoubtedly been a major contributor to his recovery. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The chef and kitchen staff have gone out of their way to accommodate his dietary needs and satisfy his taste buds. Management and all staff are so kind and supportive to the whole family. We will be forever in their debt. Thank you Silersprings. You are all amazing people in such a beautiful place.
When my Dad first came to Silver Springs I was hesitant due to their rating, however, within a few hours of being there I completely changed my view. The home is immaculately kept and the staff are friendly and engaging and soon became like family. Every day there is an activity, my dad was always encouraged to join in downstairs or taken out for a trip. The consciously designed garden became 'our place' where we would sit and talk and peacefully admire the gorgeous flowers or look at the bunnies when talking became too difficult for my Dad. When my Dad was in hospital, he was refused to even get out of his bed. Silver Springs was the opposite and I truly believe this added to his quality of life. If you are reading this and have been concerned about the rating, please visit Silver Springs, have a cup of tea, sit in the garden, observe the interaction with residents and THEN make your judgement. Thank you Silver Springs.
Now retired, I worked in the acute medical profession as a consultant for many years and have had contact with many care homes and residential facilities over the years. When my Mother required help and support I was delighted to find Silversprings and incredibly grateful that they were able to take her in as a resident. She has really blossomed under their care, physically, mentally, and emotionally. The attention that the staff pay to the residents is fantastic, the activities are numerous and imaginative, and the facilities are clean and high quality. I cannot recommend this facility enough, both as a relative and as a medic.
The staff are always courteous and helpful with any problem. The residents are well cared for and looked after. The food is tip top with daily different choices for both main course and dessert. Various types of activities and entertainment throughout the week. Beautiful grounds and modern comfortable styling. Duck pond with recently hatched ducklings in the pond and pet rabbits in the garden. There are often day trips out to local places of interest to the residents in the minibus.
My father took up residence for end-of-life care. We could not fault the home or the staff. We were there every day for six weeks, and an overnight stay was also facilitated. My father was treated with respect and dignity. The staff were knowledgeable and cared just as much for our welfare. They always made themselves available to talk us through any questions we had. We were always welcomed and kept immediately updated on my dad's condition. No request was too much. We all felt safe and cared for. We were overwhelmed by the kindness, caring and compassion demonstrated by all. The home was very clean, the food was freshly cooked and nutritious. I could not fault the cleanliness of both the home and the surrounding grounds. They truly made an extremely difficult time for the family easier to bear. Even when my dad passed and left the premises the staff lined the exit route which was most humbling. We experienced first-class treatment and my dad personally received exceptional care.
We are thankful that our mother is so settled at Silversprings. Her needs are amply catered for and staff are friendly and welcoming. Activities are plentiful, engaging and well organised. She is safe and well cared for.
Very pleased with the level of care, the staff are approachable and friendly. Lots of activities are available for residents and use of the well-maintained and beautiful grounds. Mum enjoys her meals which are nutritious and well presented.
Always welcoming. Family-friendly and encouraged to bring in as many family members as you would have at home. Lots to do. Lots to see. Menu good and varied. Off menu choices are available too. Home clean, warm and Bright. The garden now we can get out there is amazing and well-tended. My mum is happy there. Thank you to all Silversprings staff.
Excellent care and attention most of the time. Staff friendly and welcoming. Impressed by continuous efforts to make residents occupied if they wished. Sometimes too much food, but food was very good. I have diabetes 2. For me, breakfast was very late (I am an early bird) and I was able to arrange to have a much earlier cup of tea, on most days. Manager interacts with residents and always has time to listen to what they have to say. So does the lady responsible for entertainment.
Celebrated Mum's Birthday with an afternoon tea at the home. The tea was superb, with smoked salmon and cheese sandwiches Mum's favourites, scones cheese and fruit and a Victoria sponge birthday cake, all delicious. Our thanks to all the staff who contributed to making the event a memorable one.
Dad continues to receive wonderful care here and the staff are always attentive and helpful. I think special note for the food and also the fabulous gardens tendered to by the gardener. It's lovely to have the garden to sit down and take in this fantastic weather. Thank you all.
