View Full Details of Yew Tree Care CentreI have visited my next of kin relative on many occasions. Always, she is well dressed, cheery and seems to be content. The staff are all really caring and kind, I can't fault this care home at all. We feel so lucky to have a loved one here.
I recently visited Yew Tree Care Home and my experience was incredibly positive. From arriving to drop my nanna off, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are exceptional. Each staff member I encountered was not only professional but also lovely. I would like the senior care assistant to be recognised for how excellent she was. She took the time to get to know my nanna and her individual needs, making her feel valued and respected. It was heartwarming to witness how comfortable she made my nanna feel. For anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a loved one, Yew Tree Care Home stands out as a nurturing and supportive environment. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where care, community, and compassion come together seamlessly.
From the first day my mam entered Yew Tree, I, as a visitor, was made to feel welcome, like part of the Yew Tree family. The care and support that Mam received was extended to me and my family. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff members always had cheery smiles and a good morning/afternoon and how are you today?. I was always kept informed of Mam's progress and any questions were answered to the best of their knowledge and ability, whenever a GP/social worker/nurse attended to Mam, staff always contacted me to let me know the outcome. The management team were always available if I had any queries. I felt the door was always open any time if I had any concerns. Mam was always treated with dignity and respect, which again was also shown to me and my family. As a disabled person myself, I found the facilities excellent. Mam's room was large enough to house some of her own furniture and there was a lounge/dining room close to Mam's room where staff were on hand to warm up food and drink in the microwave. Mam was bedridden through her stay and she still enjoyed the visits from the pet dogs on Thursdays. I never had any concerns about Mam's welfare or safety and would very gilly recommend Yew Tree Care Centre to anyone.
After regular visits, established, always a friendly welcome and pleasant chats with staff.
My grandfather is currently on the nursing floor. The staff caring for his needs are absolutely lovely. They always go the extra mile to make sure my grandfather's comfortable and cared for, also the support offered to my self and my mother. We shouldn't have favourite care workers but some really do go the extra mile. The manager is very warm and welcoming and nothing is too much at all. All the staff are amazing, honestly can't praise them enough.
I have found all the staff very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. They have kept me well informed of issues relating to the resident.
The care received by Mam was excellent. I went nearly every day for seven months and I felt part of the family. The carers and nurses were brilliant, and always went the extra mile to make Mum comfortable and pain free. I have already recommend Yew Tree to a number of friends. Thank you for everything.
My dad has been here a short time, but in that short time of over four months, we can’t thank them enough for what they did for our dad. He was on floor one nursing, and all the staff, a carer, nurse, cleaner, lady who washed his clothes, kitchen and the girls who do the entertainment - Have all been brilliant. They ask how he is.. or they pop in and say hello to him. Just can’t thank them enough, I do have my favourite. Thank you all once again.
The staff are friendly and helpful always. Very welcoming and helped my dad settle when he moved from another home recently. Dad's room is like a little home, and he is allowed enough independence to make him feel comfortable. Excellent really.
The care of my father-in-law was truly first class. All of the staff on the first floor nursing wing are fantastic and a credit to the care home and brand. During my father-in-law's short four month stay, right up until his passing, his needs were met with dignity, respect, compassion and true dedication. I cannot thank the staff enough for their support during his last day and final hours and also the support they provided to his family throughout. Thank you all so much.
Yew Tree Care Home has been an excellent stay for my aunt, treated with care and dignity. Food is good, rooms kept clean. She is always dressed in her own clothing and, whilst she was able, was helped to choose what to wear. I took personal bedding in, which was always on her bed. Safety checks were regularly carried out, and activities encouraged, whilst she was able to take part.
My dad has been in Yew Tree since March 2022! He’s been on all three floors, he now is on nursing dementia. This floor is amazing, all the staff are hard-working and efficient in all areas of their jobs! Caring above and beyond.
This place felt comfortable the moment I walked in with my mother. All the staff are lovely and work so hard to make it like a home from home for my mother. It’s always clean and the cleaners are so lovely and nothing is too much for them. The staff go beyond what they have to do and I can not fault them at all. I would recommend this home as a friendly, family place. I know my mother is well cared for and happy. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Completed on behalf of my Mum. Her care appears to be good and the carers are aware of her needs. Limited visitors allowed is very unfortunate and the inability to take Mum out is frustrating - due to 'covid' in the home.
As a family, we were very impressed with the care Dad received at Yew Tree Care Centre. He went into dementia nursing just before the Covid lockdown. We couldn't visit but knew he was well cared for by his new "family". He died of Covid in April 2022. We were allowed to visit anytime and observed the compassion and care he received from all staff. He was treated with dignity and respect right unit the end. Thanks to you all.
Our dear friend resided in Yew Tree Care Centre for end of life care. The staff were professional and caring and went out of their way to accommodate us. Would definitely recommend this care home. The home had a lovely atmosphere and the room was spotless with its own wetroom. We were also encouraged to bring any personal belongings to make the room feel more familiar.
The care given to my father whilst in the dementia nursing area was excellent. The staff really care and treat the residents with love and compassion. Staff continued to make sure my father was cared for until he passed away. Staff were visibly upset - to them, he was "one of the family". Thank you for all of the care and support.
Following a series of falls at home, in February, we arranged for my dad to stay at YewTree. He is 96-years-old, and we had wanted him to end his days in his own home. Since he has been at the home, he has become fitter and stronger and is now very settled there. The care he has received has been exemplary from the home manager, the senior staff and everyone who helps him with his daily routine. He has been treated with great kindness, care and consideration throughout, and he (and the family) are now very happy for him to stay there permanently. They also have fun; to see my dad singing and laughing again was wonderful. The staff have been so supportive to the family too. Despite their busy jobs, they make time to speak to us when we visit, and we always leave knowing that Dad is in safe hands. We are so grateful for the love and support from the Yew Tree staff - they are a great team!
I chose Yew Tree as it had very good reviews. My dad has dementia and has stayed in other care homes and not settled. When I first took my dad in four weeks ago, I was very upset, the manager N was very supportive and understanding and reassured me he would be fine, and I could call at any time and ring at any time day or night to check on my dad for my peace of mind. As I work in the industry myself, sometimes I can be a little picky, the manager has gone above and beyond to support me and support my dad and the rest of the residents in the home, and I call at all times, especially around my shift, every time I call, I am more than welcome and always been offered a cup of tea. The home and the staff are very lucky to have a manager and a deputy manager like them to support them and the residents. My dad likes it that much he does not want to come home and now has been made a permanent resident of Yew Tree, and that’s good support from the management to the staff.
The home is spotless and the staff are so accommodating on all levels. We couldn't have asked for more. It is a very inviting atmosphere that is made cheerful by the staff - very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. On the death of my father-in-law, the staff could not have handled it any better, we were very impressed and would wholeheartedly recommend. Well done and thank you.
