View Full Details of Loughton HallMy mum has been here since Oct 23, and my dad March 24. The staff are absolutely brilliant with both attitude to caring and their needs in general. My parents are very comfortable here, and the staff keep me updated on any problems. They really can't do enough for them.
My stay at Loughton Hall has been for convalescence following a long hospital admission. My family made the initial contact and were immediately put at ease with the welcoming and caring manner they received from Loughton Hall's manager. After an initial visit, we decided this would be a good place to stay and the care home hasn't let us down. I have a lovely room which I spend as much or as little time in, as I want. The staff are excellent and are helpful and kind. There are activities such as quizzes and bingo, and special occasions like Father's Day are celebrated. The chef is very good, meals are lovely and plentiful and there's tea and coffee and soft drinks with biscuits and snacks available throughout the day. It's been a unique experience for me and it's been especially good to see how well the residents are cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Loughton Hall to anyone.
I have been absolutely delighted with the way Dad has settled into his new home at Loughton Hall. The staff and management have gone the extra mile for him and their service has been first-class. Dad is joining in with the many activities and is very happy with his new surroundings and friends.
My dad came to Loughton Hall for emergency respite when my mum fell ill and could no longer look after him. At what was a really difficult time I cannot praise the staff enough at how they welcomed Dad and took care of him. The building itself can feel a bit daunting but the staff are so warm and friendly that they put both my dad and family at ease. They regularly provided a shoulder to cry on for me when I was finding it hard to cope and provided Dad with a friendly chat every day. We've moved Dad closer to home now but would like to express how grateful we are for their hard work and compassion. I have no doubt he will miss them all.
I think that Loughton Hall where my father has lived since September 2023 is excellent. My father is well looked after one of the staff, I highly recommend, her caring skills are amazing. She treats Dad like family, he feels so at ease in her care and asked me to thank her. She listens to all his needs and tries her best to make them happen. Thank you, you make the family’s life a bit easier.
My mum has only good things to say about the staff and the food, but this was not the right place for her to be - the other residents sometimes frightened her and she only wanted to be at home!
My aunt was transferred from the hospital to Loughton Hall for respite care and after 6 weeks she decided to remain. She says all the staff are lovely. The home is well staffed and there are always activities going on for residents which they are encouraged to become involved with. Every key event in the year is celebrated with a party or special tea or dressing up. The cook always tries to supply my aunt with meals she favours. The managers are always accessible to me and my aunt. The home is well run and clearly, everyone there works hard to do their best for their results with kindness and patience.
Loughton Hall Care Home and staff have welcomed my father for respite to permanent care. They have cared for him, supported all of his needs and made him welcome. He cannot speak highly enough of all members of the team.
I have a good size room - clean and light. The water supply in the W.C. is not always available and radiators are cold during cold weather. I need extra help with certain medical things. But the staff are excellent and always helpful, despite being busy. The management have made improvements since I arrived in Sept. I also have certain dietary needs, and the chef and staff have helped me a lot in this respect. Back door step needs improvement. Certain areas could do with improvement - i.e. on the ground floor area adjacent to the lift are W.C.'s used by residents the smell from which is not good. Other than that, a nice friendly home but needs odd improvements.
I am so happy with the care my mother is receiving now also with a lovely professional manager who’s always available as well as the carers I can’t fault this care home many thanks for your support and patience and hard work you give not just for my mum but all the residents.
I am delighted with my mother's excellent care at Loughton Hall. The Manager is always available for a chat with family. The carers are professional, friendly and helpful. Exceptionally clean, with wondereful wholesome food. Activities well catered for. I would recommend Loughton Hall to family who need to know their relative is safe and well cared for. Visiting is allowed from 9am without an appointment. There are no time limitations for visits. All mum's family, children, brothers, neices and nephews welcome. I cannot express my gratitude to the Manager enough!
Our mother was admitted to Loughton Hall Care Home temporarily to assess her and find a permanent care home. We have now done this and moved her closer to us. During the time Mum was there all the staff were very kind and helpful, the manager was always accessible and had time for us, resolving any issues required. The home could probably do with a little renovation but the care was very good. Thanks to the whole team for their hard work, it is a difficult job.
Every time I visit my partner, she looks well, alert and happy. We have a good chat she always looks smart. On behalf of me and my family, thank you to the care staff and management for the care shown and respect and dignity given.

The home is bright and airy and clean. The staff have been warm and friendly. We have been so relieved to find a local home that is so good for my mother-in-law. Food is excellent, I have enjoyed lunch with resident's. Good and wholesome and Vienetta. The chef is so kind and friendly.
All staff very helpful and always on hand to help and talk. They always encourage father to do the best he can.
A resident at Loughton Hall had an 80th birthday party which my mother really enjoyed. There was a singer there who my mum said reminded her Anthony Newley. He was very good.
