My father was admitted following a decline in his health and mobility. After many discussions, he finally agreed to leave his home and move into Deer Park View, which would be nearer to me. Everyone was supportive on his arrival, making him feel welcome, which helped him confirm that the move was the right thing to do. All the staff are supportive, friendly and respectful when delivering care, medication and changing his dressings. Cannot fault them.
It was with great sadness that my husband and I decided we could no longer manage to look after Mum at home and that she would have to go into a care home. When I looked around Deer Park View, it had a friendly feel about it. Mum wasn’t keen to move at first, but she settled in very quickly and always has a big smile on her face. Deer Park View made the move very simple for us as they did things like label all Mum’s clothes and arrange all the details for change of doctors, etc. I was very impressed that they also had a discussion about end-of-life care so that we don’t have to have that sort of discussion at a more difficult time. There are lots of lovely, friendly staff around, and they take wonderful care of Mum. Mum has been able to have her favourite newspaper every day, which means a lot to her. We are always greeted with happy, smiling faces whenever we arrive; it feels like one big family.
I recently spent 14 days of rest and recuperation at this care home. Initially, the prospect of this stay caused me some concern but in the event, my misgivings were short-lived. The home was very comfortable and well-run and the staff were excellent. Their efficiency, kindness, patience and cheerful disposition helped to make my stay a very pleasant one. I would not hesitate to recommend Deer Park View to anyone who has the need.
My husband was admitted following hospital treatment after a bad fall and was diagnosed with mixed dementia prior to admittance. I didn't know what to expect and knew nothing about dementia. The nursing staff and carers were kindness itself, both to me and my husband. One or two problems as time went on and I was lost in a maze of assessments and legalese but the manager helped me through and was always on hand.
My mother-in-law has been in Deer Park View Care Centre for nearly five years now. During that time we have been very happy with the care and support that she has received. The staff have been amazing and always keep us up to date on what is happening.
I feel very grateful that we were lucky enough to find Deer Park View. My partner came to stay after a hospital admission in 2021 which then became long-term - the manager was really supportive and helpful at a very difficult time. I had previously discounted residential care for him based on visits to other care homes, but his dementia had progressed to the point that it was really the only option. The staff at Deer Park View Care Centre are all absolutely fantastic, always cheerful and very kind and patient. They are evidently genuinely fond of the residents. I know my partner is safe and well looked after. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is great. Visitors are made to feel really welcome. I cannot recommend Deer Park View highly enough.
Staff are always very professional and caring. Everyone is very friendly. Spacious home so residents can wander around, if able, rather than just be stuck in one room in front of the TV. Rooms are bright and pleasant and feeling that residents are safe and well cared for.

The manager and staff are always helpful in every way and kind to all the residents. I have never seen them be unkind even when the residents are being challenging. They feed my husband at every meal and keep him nicely shaved and well dressed and see that he has regular haircuts and chiropody. They take great care of his health, day and night. They engage him in activities and make him laugh and do their best to keep him happy.
