The Broadway, Dudley, DY1 3EA
View Full Details of Barchester Broadway Halls Care HomeReally happy with the care Mum receives. She is clean, well-nourished and entertained. Nothing is too much trouble for either residents or visitors. The staff are warm and welcoming. Cannot praise this establishment enough.
The staff are absolutely fantastic right across the home, so helpful and nothing is too much trouble when you ask. Mom's room is large, ensuite room, very clean and warm, Mom also told us that the food is excellent and presented beautifully on the plate. It's the only home that have offered the chance to eat a Sunday lunch with her at a very reasonable cost which I find great. Don't think our mom could be in a better place to cater for her needs so thank you Broadway Halls, Dudley for your care of my mom.
I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone in need of one. The staff are very pleasant, they are like a really family unit. My mother has been here for a while and she really likes it.
Everything is excellent at Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home, that is why we have returned for respite care for my sister for the third time. They make us all feel welcome as a family and we are encouraged to take part in all activities held which is very enjoyable.
My father-in-law has been a resident for just over a year, he has been looked after so well by all the staff, people have gone the extra mile for him and myself. I will miss all the staff so much, everyone is very friendly and jolly, I've never seen any of the residents looking unhappy, they love being in Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home, it makes them feel at home.
My husband stayed in Broadway hall for 3 weeks respite he was very well cared for, he was kept very clean. His room was good he was checked on every hour as he is bed ridden so has to have everything done for him. My family were very impressed too. If it got that I could not look after my husband I would very much like him to stay in Broadway hall.
To summarise my experience of Broadway Halls is it was the worst experience that I have ever encountered. Basic needs not met let alone any attempts made to maintain any dignity for my very proud and kind parents. Ask questions to a member of staff, well don't bother you will be answered by either a shrug, it wasn't me or I wasn't on shift. Record keeping on welfare, falls and medication - all I can say is very unreliable! Cleanliness, disgraceful although housekeeping records are very robust! Despite raising concerns nothing materially improved to the point where I was asked to move my mother because they couldn't meet my expectations of basic care needs. Following two internal investigations apparently we were wrong and all was well. However, my mother is now in a nursing home where she is cared for amazingly. So thank you Broadway Halls for ending the contract for my mother. It was the best thing that you ever did during the 3 month period of being with you.
I have no hesitation in recommending Broadway Halls for the care of your loved one. My mother has been a resident for over 12 years and is now aged 102. Her longevity is largely thanks to the wonderfully efficient and devoted care afforded her by the staff. The accommodation, meals and regular, stimulating activities all contribute to the residents' wellbeing. Definitely justifies a 5-star rating.
Visited my mother-in-law who has now been in Barchester Broadway Halls Care Home for three months and was so pleased to see how much she has improved physically and mentally. She is joining in a lot of the activities and is being stimulated which has had a very positive effect on her. We, as a family, are really happy with her progress and the Broadway Halls for making a difference.
I enjoy my visits coming to see my friend. There is always a warm and friendly welcome in reception. My friend is here for respite at present and I cannot believe the change in her. The care staff are very professional, polite and nothing is too much trouble, the food has been enjoyable and lovely. She has been coming out of her shell and enjoys the singers and some activities. Thank you all for looking after my dear friend. She has been well looked after.
After visiting various homes for my mom we decided that Broadway Halls was the one, from the moment we walked through the doors we were welcomed by the lovely member of staff on reception who showed us around and gave us lots of information. There was a really nice atmosphere there and all the staff were very friendly. She has now been there for 1 week and the difference in her is heartwarming, she has already had a complimentary hair do and has had her feet done and looks and feels so much better, I have also had a meal with Mom in the dinning area which was a lovely experience, there was soup for starters a main meal plus a pudding and also a good choice of drinks including a glass of wine or beer and all for £5... I would especially like to thank the member of staff on reception whose communication throughout the transfer process was 1st class and she was very helpful, always reassuring. To see the changes in my mom after such a short time is so heartwarming and I believe she will blossom here.
My mom became a resident at Broadway Halls a few weeks ago. As a family we are so pleased with the care and support my mom is given. She has settled in really well. They arrange activities and entertainment for all and even arrange trips out.
Our dear friend moved into Broadways Halls in December 2023. She received Nursing Care and I cannot thank the staff enough. The home is managed and run with professional care, integrity empathy, and a smile. I cannot name names but suffice to say there are so many members of staff who deserve my sincere thanks and praise. The staff is happy in their work and they are led so well by the manager. I have absolutely no complaints. I want to thank, the staff at reception for their warmth and personal greeting on every visit, the nurses and the carers, the maintenance staff, the cleaners and the catering staff, the management and admin, and finally the entertainment staff. In this day and age, it is all too common to see and read negativity or other criticism. My praise and gratitude are just a small token of how happy I am with Broadway Halls.
Mom was only there for a short time but in that, she was looked after well. The nursing staff were attentive and we always felt she was kept clean, warm and safe. Her room was kept spotlessly clean and her clothes were beautifully laundered and returned to the wardrobe with great care. She was always treated with dignity. When she passed away my brother and myself felt cared about and we too were treated with empathy and dignity. I would have no hesitation recommending Barchester Broadway Halls to anyone looking for care for loved ones.
My mother is a resident in the dementia ward there, and I cannot find fault with anything, especially the wonderful staff on this floor. They do their very best during very difficult circumstances to try to make the residents as comfortable as they can. Special thanks to the lead on this floor. The team excel at entertainment and always comes up with new and unusual ideas to keep them entertained.
Mom has been a resident at Broadway Halls since August this year and was a little worried about her moving to somewhere new as she had been in her previous care home for eight years, but I am extremely satisfied with how welcome the staff have made her and the care she receives by all.
The team at Broadway Halls Care Home went the extra mile so that my 95-year-old mother could have her birthday party last weekend. The home was suffering from a norovirus outbreak earlier in the week which had put the party in jeopardy. Following discussions with Health England, we still managed to go ahead.
The activities team work hard to provide a wide range of enrichment activities for residents both in Broadway Halls and out at local venues. Recent activities have included visits to a local cafe, an interesting stately home, and a museum as well as walks in a local park. Regular events in the home include singers, film day, bingo and indoor bowls - enjoyed by all!
Broadway Halls have been incredibly accommodating of my grandmother and have shown compassion and kindness in welcoming her to her new home. Everyone that has seen her recently has said she looks very well and it is reassuring to know that she is being well taken care of.
I would like to thank the staff who dealt with Mum's tissue tear recently. They were extremely attentive and professional.
