View Full Details of Ashton LodgeIn my experience with Ashton Lodge, the care staff are very supportive and caring, always there to help, and the nursing staff are very attentive and understanding and always make time when you need information or to talk. And the management team are fantastic, always friendly and helpful when problems need addressing. All I can say is thank you so much to all the staff at Ashton Lodge for taking very good care of my friend.
The management and staff are fantastic. Whenever I visit my sister I can feel the warm atmosphere as soon as I arrive. The nurses and staff are extremely busy but they still find time to have a chat and a laugh with her. They also update us on her health issues and remind us of any hospital appointments. My sister likes one-to-one rather than group activities of which they have many to choose from. This is solved by the carers painting her nails or chatting about TV programmes with her. In conclusion, I am always impressed with the parties they have throughout the year both for residents and families celebrating Christmas and Valentines to name but two. I would certainly recommend Ashton Lodge for your loved one.
I would like to thank all the staff, management, hotel services, staff, support staff including activities staff. The qualified nurses who carried out care to my sister who was a resident for two years as I would like to recommend Ashton Lodge for their wonderful dignified care given to my sister. We thank you, I thank you Aston Lodge from all the family.
My overall experience is great and that's because staff members are great and understanding. Residents are also nice and respectful.
The staff are caring and look after my father with advanced dementia. The activities are excellent and the management are very helpful.
I am very happy with the service and care provided for my Mum who is a stroke patient. All the staff are very helpful, polite and go the extra mile when we have any concerns. Even the non-Gujarati staff make an effort to learn a few words to communicate with my Mum which I found very impressive. There is a minor concern that I would like addressed is that when I visit I find Mum in an uncomfortable position. More frequent checks to her room to address this would be great. Also, some of the bedding/linen/pillows could be replaced.
To all the staff and the manager, thank you for looking after my sister, as a family we couldn't have got better care for my sister. She was shown respect dignity and kindness, we were met with kind caring staff each time we visited my sister. Again Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for providing care love and compassion to my sister. Working and running a nursing home is a very difficult job but I can say with certainty that an excellent job both by management and staff was offered to my sister. Also, her husband and siblings were shown great respect and help when required. Thank you Aston Lodge staff and management for all the kindness and care you provide to my sister and my family and sister's husband, again Regards.
I'm very happy with the service at Ashton Lodge, especially with one lady. Being at Ashton Lodge it feels like home. All the staff are very friendly and supportive. The management is very helpful whenever I have something to clarify.
The staff were very helpful, caring and thoughtful towards my mum. They also looked after me as well, while I was visiting my mum.
They looked after my wife for 7 weeks. She had dementia and stage 3 cancer. All the staff were excellent in looking after me and my wife.
When my Mother passed on just after her 104th Birthday I was quite touched that her carers came into her room and said a little prayer over her; she had been there for a little over 3 years, as her needs were becoming more complex and although her skin was thin and easily bruised they were generous in their efforts to protect it! Although she could barely construct a sentence they used their experience to estimate what she was in need of, including things like putting the TV on for her! The food was varied and nourishing and she seemed to like the hot Chocolate a lot. The Nursing staff were kept busy with the variety of conditions presented and keen to help and encourage.
Excellent service, all staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
For five years now my mother has been at Ashton Lodge Care Home. As a GP myself who has visited patients in countless care homes, I can, without any hesitation or doubt, say that Ashton Lodge is one of the best I have come across. It is clean and welcoming and the staff go above and beyond for the residents. Thank you so much for caring!
From the very first day, Mum was admitted to Ashton Lodge, all the staff, carers and nursing staff have been amazing. They made my mum feel at home and comfortable. Made sure if we weren't sure, to ask them questions about anything. They make you always feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble and you do not feel rushed. I am happy to leave my mum in such capable hands and I can go home knowing she is 100% being looked after properly.
A very well-run care home! I was really impressed with the various facilities and the professional staff who deliver outstanding care to the residents as I always say who are not there by choice but by compulsions of their circumstances! I attended their various functions, the last being the Christmas Party a few days ago and you could see the passion and diligence of the care worker staff and I could see the resident's eyes light up with joy as it provided a diversion from the everyday routine! I plan to also go for their Christmas lunch on 25th December and look forward to it indeed! Bravo Ashton Lodge, may your endeavours go from strength to strength, onwards and upwards!
My husband was at Ashton Lodge from July 2022 until his recent passing. During his time there he was very well looked after by all the team of nurses and carers. They were always very kind and encouraging with him and I was kept regularly informed of his progress. The rooms at Ashton Lodge are a good size clean and modern and they have very nice facilities for the residents.
Home is perfect.
My aunt received the best of service and was very well looked after. We could not expect any better. The staff went over and beyond their duties to keep her comfortable and well looked after. We are really very grateful to the management and staff for their service and cooperation they gave us. Thank you very much
My 95-year-old mother, who suffers with dementia, has been at Ashton Lodge Care Home since 5th June 2023. She is being well looked after by the staff who are very friendly and helpful. She has a nice, spacious room with en-suite facilities and a large window overlooking the busy Kingsbury Road. I am kept informed and updated on all matters concerning her, particularly in relation to her non-dementia health issues. My father and I visit her several times a week and we are both treated with respect and attention when we visit. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff who display care and professionalism at all times. We know she is safe and will be well looked after by all the carers and nurses there.
I have returned to the UK on Friday 30th June 2023 to find my mother lying in her own faeces. The first thing I noticed was that her face was dirty, and her lips were so dry that her top lip was bleeding. Her ears were so full of wax the left ear was seeping wax. My mother's nostrils were filled with snot and dried bogies. Mum's socks were covered in faeces: I took pictures and showed the nurse on duty. This always happens when I am away, as I see my mother every day, unless it is impossible to get there from Lewisham: 15 miles on bike or 1.5 hours minimum on the train. I have given the nurses and carers the benefit of the doubt too many times, but this is the final straw. I am now very worried about the care she is receiving and I am reluctant to leave her to look after her affairs abroad. I had a great relationship with all of the staff at Ashton Lodge, but with a heavy heart, I have to say that they have lost my trust.
