View Full Details of Midland Care HomeI received excellent communication and support with my fathers ongoing condition and care after returning from hospital. The staff really care for the health of the residents and keeping the family informed.
Visit was made to care home on Friday 14th of February 2025. I attended the home as a nurse assessor to complete a CHC assessment. Warm friendly welcome, skilled and professional carers activity team and nurses. All relevant information required for the assessment was available and accessible. Homely atmosphere for both residents and family
Care from March 2024 to date has been exceptionally good, always kept up to date on everything concerning my husband. Staff always available to speak to, this gives me peace of mind to know my husband is being cared for with dignity and all care given.
The care provided to my mother has been absolutely first-class. The staff are conscientious and always helpful (e.g. providing a chair when I visit as I have a disability). Care needs are always met and the staff have our full confidence in dealing with any issues that arise, including where necessary, liaising with other healthcare services such as doctors, paramedics and hospital.
Mum is always treated with utmost care and dignity. She has been there a few years now and I wouldn't want her cared for anywhere else. As her dementia has progressed, management and staff are quick to put new plans in action to keep her as safe as possible.
Fantastic friendly staff. Residents are well looked after and cared for to the maximum. The meals are made to every resident's taste with a good choice on the menu. The entertainment team always make a good effort to keep the residents amused. The home also has a lovely sized garden which I imagine is well used in the summer months. Well done to all the staff for caring for my Dad feel most welcome.
Fantastic!
Brill.
My mother is very well cared for, the staff are very caring, very patient and always happy and helpful. The home is always clean and never smells. There are activities most days. Mother always looks smart, tidy, clean and well cared for.
Lovely caring staff. Always cheerful and very kind to my mother, who can be difficult at times! The activities for the residents are good and the regular monthly church service is something my mother enjoys very much. The food is always varied and sandwiches etc are offered if the residents don't like what is on the menu.
Great all round care home, lovely staff and residents are well cared for. Food looks excellent and very nice dining room. Care staff do their best to support all residents' needs and good communication with family. The ladies in pink provide an excellent and varied entertainment programme for residents and families.
All staff at Midland Care Home have been very respectful, polite, considerate, and kind to both me and my Mum. She is so grateful to be in such a wonderful, safe place.
When the authorities found this home for my mother to stay in for respite following a six-week stay in the hospital, we, as a family, were concerned that it was the right place for her. She has been there for over a month, and we all say the same thing, we're very lucky to have found this home.
The staff are lovely and treat my mother (on the residential floor) with care and respect. They love to have a chat and a giggle, and generally, my mother is very happy here. The management has been very accommodating in allowing my mother to have her own furniture and personal effects, which made the transition from her home to care home so much easier. The entertainment staff encourage her to take part in communal activities and she has probably done more in the last 9 months she has been in the home than in the previous 5 years in her own home. The one area that requires improvement is the food. Catering is external and is often not appealing and choice appears to be limited. While staff will make something simple if she doesn't like what's on the menu, she doesn't like to make a fuss and so rarely asks for an alternative. I often take food in for her.
I wanted to extend a few words to give thanks to all the awesome carers at Midland Care Home. My mother is smiling since the new team arrived. I can't express enough the patience you all share in making my mother at home. To the entire team thank you for always giving my mum love. Every call I make you are always there to give me feedback. Thank you stay blessed see you soon.
I am very happy indeed with the care provided to my father at this care home on the nursing floor. His face absolutely lights up every time a member of staff comes into his room (which is frequent). Staff are delightful, happy and attentive, and I believe they form real loving bonds with their residents. Staff also liaise with me as next of kin in such a kind and helpful way. It's such a relief to me to know my father is so well cared for, and I have no hesitation recommending Midland Care Home to anyone. Big thanks to everyone who works here.
Kind and friendly home staff, so caring, and everyone is special to them. Never a dull moment for residents, and visitors are always made to feel so welcome. You all do a fantastic job - thank you so much.
Mum has Alzheimer's and is treated with respect and dignity. The carers, nurses, managers and activity staff all seem genuinely caring and interested in Mum's physical and mental welfare - unlike other care homes we have experienced. The cost is a bit high compared to some other similar nursing homes. The one thing I would say is that Mum is often not wearing her own clothes, which I would like to see improved.
On the whole, everything is okay but having visited every day the menu needs to be drastically improved and more varied.
Dad is happy here. We are very pleased with his care, food and everybody is very nice. The home is clean and very organised. The staff are very professional.
