View Full Details of RavensdaleMy brother was at Ravensdale care home and was well looked after by the staff there. He was supported well and was as happy as he could be, despite his physical and mental issues. Staff were professional and caring and we felt supported, especially at the end of his illness and end of life care- the palliative care was excellent. Highly recommend the care home.
First time visiting my auntie in this care home. What a lovely place. The staff were very welcoming and my auntie seemed really settled and well looked after.
Since our mother was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago it has been a traumatic time for her and us as a family. We have been lucky enough to have found this place for mam. We cannot praise this enough. It is a professional well run unit, caring, informative, well trained staff who treat mam in a caring, sensitive way.
Easy to find and park. Staff very welcoming. Fully escorted to where our auntie was sitting. Frequent care checks for Auntie but not intrusive. All staff introduced themselves to us and asked our names. Offered drinks and allowed privacy to enjoy our visit. Care home was spotlessly clean, inviting and clearly very well maintained. Excellent first impressions and reassuring to feel that our Auntie is well cared for.
My daughter has only been here for two weeks but the staff have been great and very helpful and kind.
After the resident had been refused at other homes we were very pleased he was accepted at Ravensdale. Other homes were unable to support all of my friend's needs due to him being very young to have his problems. The staff have soon got to know his ways and have enriched his life greatly. We as a family, are delighted with the care given and cannot thank the home enough for their dedication to their residents.
As soon as you enter you feel welcome - especially by the cat loitering downstairs. The staff are friendly, professional, and caring.
I find the Ravensdale setting a calm and peaceful environment for residents (including my daughter). The staff that care for my daughter look after her well and she now has familiar faces she trusts and looks for. I am always made very welcome when I'm visiting my daughter too.
The home is clean and welcoming. The staff are all helpful and motivated and seem to care about the residents.
Overall I found the home and staff very welcoming and friendly and felt very comfortable being there.
I went to visit my father-in-law recently at Ravensdale and found the management to be very welcoming and friendly. I was impressed by his room - it was spacious and equipped with lovely furniture, and the room was spotlessly clean. I also liked that he had an en suite bathroom. He has a lovely view of the garden and told me he liked going outside to walk around it. The staff on his floor were busy, but took the time to talk to us and were very polite, happy and friendly and answered all our questions. We were able to make a coffee and sit and chat, we also got to meet Sven the resident cat, who was super friendly and welcomed a fuss. I feel that Ravensdale has been a great move for my father-in-law; he has gained weight, he seems to be doing really well and all his complex care needs have been met.
My brother-in-law moved to the home at the beginning of the month. Our experience started when we went to look round, on walking through the door, to being shown round, to leaving we could not have been more impressed! We instantly felt like we were being welcomed into a ‘home’. The manager and staff were really friendly yet relaxed, felt like I had known them years and instantly knew it was the right place to move our relative too. The manager arranged to go meet our relative so that she could make sure they could offer the quality of care that he needs and the quality of life. The transition was smooth and the manager sorted any issues with the move instantly, this taking any pressure off us as a family and off our relative. Staff have been amazing with him, all of the staff. It really is a home from home and the homemade food is fantastic, we haven’t seen our relative finish a meal for months until his first day here. We are happy to now be a part of the Ravensdale family.
Having arrived today for the first time to visit my brother who had just arrived the previous day, we were greeted with a big smile from the staff. They showed me to my brother who was sitting in the lounge. All the staff on the ward were very welcoming and showed us to my brother's bedroom, which was very homely and had a lovely welcome pack full of treats and a handmade card. First impressions - very happy.
My brother recently moved to Ravensdale, and my family and I would like to say, from start to finish, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Showing nothing but care, compassion and empathy toward us and him. It's the first time in years that he has finished a meal as the home-made food is outstanding. As a family, we couldn't be happier with Ravensdale looking after him now.
Excellent staff, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere when you walk in, acknowledgement when you are visiting. Help and reassurance always available. Dad is loving the food. Activities to keep service users mobile and encourage cognition, mobility and is also done on a personal level.
We moved our dad to Ravensdale as his previous care home could not manage his needs. From the initial contact with the manager at Ravensdale, we have been so impressed. Staff visited our dad in his previous setting to assess his complex care needs, and had everything set up for his arrival on Christmas Eve. Since Dad arrived at Ravensdale we have noticed a significant change in him, he is happy, settled and is receiving the care he deserves. The staff and management are warm and welcoming and create the perfect homely atmosphere and care for Dad. His room is spacious with lots of light and we have been able to bring personal items in for him. Ravensdale is spotlessly clean, the food looks great and Dad says he loves it. Overall we would highly recommend Ravensdale.
Always caring and nothing is too much trouble.
My mum has been in Ravensdale since May 2005. I am overwhelmed by the care and love she has received from all the staff. They cannot do enough for her and all the other residents.
My experience of Ravensdale whilst visiting my partner has been very positive. All staff have been approachable and are always there when needed. The atmosphere is positive and relaxed. The people living here are valued and treated as an individual by the team and cared for without prejudice. All the team appear to have a kind heart and are doing this job for the right reasons. When my partner has a bad day he can say negative things and all of the team accept it is his condition and do not react negatively and are accepting of him unconditionally. The management team are so approachable and very very lovely, nothing is too much trouble, as well as so knowledgeable and supportive. A fabulous home and an amazing team offering person-centred care, I can leave feeling really reassured after my visits.
Lovely home and nice staff. My husband is well looked after.
