View Full Details of Beech ManorOverall home is adequate, however, staff shortage makes care for clients difficult as they can not possibly spend time with clients and answer buzzers efficiently. Staff do their very best but are run off their feet.
Excellent care for my 92-year-old mother who has Alzheimer's and diabetes. Nursing staff are very good and responsive to Mother's medical needs. Beech Manor is a clean, well-managed home with a good variety of activities and outings.
Beech Manor is a bright and spacious house, well maintained and clean. My dad has a lovely, sunny room overlooking the garden and often goes out to the balcony. All staff are caring and thoughtful towards my dad and I am satisfied that he is well looked after. My dad enjoys the meals and is looking healthier now. There are always activities being held at Beechmanor, although my dad doesn’t often participate he is always invited to join in and staff spend time encouraging and joking with him. My dad always seems to know about the staff so it’s obvious they are spending time chatting. I look forward to going into Beech Manor to see my dad and to see the other residents and staff there.
My mother went into Beech Manor Care Home a few weeks ago, and I have been very impressed with the home. The facilities are wonderful, the staff are absolutely excellent, I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and, more importantly, Mum is happy in her new home. It has been a pleasant surprise that every time I visit, any member of staff that I have met before knows who I am visiting and most remember my name, which adds to the welcoming feel of the home. I have been phoned a couple of times with questions or requests, which is also a big plus for me as it shows that the staff are thinking about Mum's well-being and happiness as well as her general health. I would have no hesitation in recommending Beech Manor as a potential care home for your loved ones and hope that your experiences match mine.
Overall the home provides a good standard of care for my father. The staff in general seem to know him well and he is always happy to return after being out with me. He enjoys the food and the new tuck shop initiative is a particularly good addition. He prefers one-to-one rather than group activities and in recent months the care home has been trying hard to accommodate this. A sign on the main road to slow traffic down would be welcomed as my father still enjoys going out for short walks on his own but has to cross a busy road on a bend. Also, a disabled blue badge for the home minibus would be great. To be fair the care home manager has tried to do this but so far to no avail.
Nobody wants their parent to end up in a care home and I had reservations over my dad going into one, not to mention the feelings of guilt, nowhere was going to be good enough! I’m happy to say my fears quickly disappeared and I can’t praise the staff and management at Beech Manor enough. The home is bright, airy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly, helpful and cheerful and there’s plenty of activities going on and the occasional trip out in the minibus. The rooms are a good size and always clean. The food is excellent and my dad wants for nothing on that front. He’s always clean and tidy which can’t be easy for the staff dealing with someone with well advanced dementia. Overall I’m very happy with the care my dad receives and would thoroughly recommend Beech Manor to anyone who is looking for a care home for a relative.
My mother settled in well; she is happy and well-looked after. She enjoys the company and going out and the indoor activities. The staff are friendly and she can have a laugh with them. Her overall care is good, and she has all that she needs in a care home. Her room overlooks the car park, and she enjoys sitting on her veranda and seeing people come and go. The benefit of the added space means we can sit outside for fresh air and enjoy the sunshine without going out of the building.
My mum stayed here for a short spell recently. I have no hesitation in recommending Beech Manor Care Home as a welcoming, friendly place if looking to place an elderly relative in care. The staff are all very helpful and always happy to assist if you have any queries. The home has nice, big rooms with wide corridors and is furnished to modern standards. The food is excellent with residents being given a well-balanced diet or, if not to their liking, can opt for something simpler if they wish. The staff are good at keeping in touch and always smiling. There is also a great activities programme with regular outings to places like the Friendship Cafe in Blairgowrie or the deer centre. A great home for your nearest and dearest with good parking too outside. Can't thank the staff enough, they all deserve special mention for treating my mum with great care and attention.
My mum is well looked after the staff ensure my mum is well presented and her clothes match. She always looks clean and tidy. My mum enjoys the food and has put on weight since staying there. The staff are all very helpful and remain cheerful in a challenging environment. She enjoys getting her hair done by the hairdresser and enjoys time taking part in activities. I haven't met the manager and I can't attend relative meetings as I work so usually miss the meetings. It would be good to be kept up to date with meeting minutes and information relating to changes and meetings.

Our experience of Beech Manor is wonderful. My father is well cared for by the staff and this puts our minds to rest. Nothing is too much hassle for the staff and they truly are angels. Thanks to you all.
Having to put my relative into a care home is one of the hardest things I've had to do. As her POA the guilt I felt was immense, however, from the minute we walked through the doors of Beech Manor it was obvious the care and dedication from staff was second to none. My relative settled very quickly into their safe and caring environment. She has made friends, both with other residents and staff and they, in turn, have quickly grasped her personality, her likes and dislikes, her medical issues and have gone out of their way to ensure she feels comfortable, happy and secure. As a relative, it's only natural to worry about your relative when you leave but we are able to walk out their doors knowing she is receiving the very best of care. Knowing her personal hygiene is taken care of and knowing that the environment around her is clean. As a relative, there is always a warm welcome from staff when we visit. They are approachable, friendly and welcome you in as part of their extended family.
My husband has Parkinson, he has now lost the power in his legs and had to be hoisted out of bed and onto the commode. Also, his sight is going, he can't see now. I made this aware to the nurses and that he was unable to feed himself. They were very good, ordered red dishes for him and now feed him.
Overall home is adequate, however, staff shortage makes care for clients difficult as they can not possibly spend time with clients and answer buzzers efficiently. Staff do their very best but are run off their feet.
