View Full Details of Parkmanor OaksMy grandmother stayed with Parkmanor Oaks care home and she was treated so well! They are a complete credit to themselves for how much they care for their residents as if they are their own family. They spent so much time always making sure my grandmother was involved in activities, and made sure her day was always full of laughter and joy. They are such a homely place to have a loved one stay with. I'm so grateful to each and every staff member for taking such great care of my grandmother.
Where do we start! Parkmanor Oaks was definitely the best choice for our family, when it came to the care of our Grandmother. We had heard amazing things from the families of residents, and having met the staff and management, we knew we had made the best decision and she would be in the right hands! From the first day Granny was in their care, the staff were so attentive and welcoming. You could tell they take real pleasure in helping their residents. From facilities to security, everything was just what she needed. We had heard rumours about interactive fun days and parties for residents and their families to enjoy together and once we seen this in person, we agreed we wanted to live there ourselves! If ever we needed any update or had questions about granny's care, there was no hesitation to keep us in the loop. Our granny always had a smile on her face. And, without a doubt Parkmanor kept it there. We can never thank the staff and management enough.
Parkmanor Oaks Nursing home I can't thank them enough for their care and understanding of my mum's needs. The staff are very supportive, caring and go above and beyond to all the residents. Great entertainment days during the week getting everyone involved enjoying a few hours of music and craic. Food is good and plentiful the kitchen staff are great providing a very high standard everyday. Parkmanor Oaks has a warm and comfortable atmosphere and a great team of people. Big thank you to them all.
My experience of Parkmanor Oaks has been very good and has excelled my expectations. My mother has been a resident for 1 year and I can highly recommend Parkmanor Care Home. The staff at every level are compassionate, helpful and friendly. The Nursing Staff are very attentive and cognisant of my mother's needs and react accordingly. As a family we are kept abreast of any issues with Mum's health and the staff make every effort to ensure my mum is clean, comfortable and safe at all times. Any issues raised by me are dealt with immediately and professionally. The entertainment is amazing and appropriate for the residents. Parkmanor Oaks is very family orientated and we are included in all events. The staff have become like a family to me and my family over the past year.
As a family we couldn't be happier with the care the staff at the home provide for our mum. So welcoming for us when we go to visit mummy. The activities put on by the staff/home for the residents are so so good.
Staff are professional and caring. They have always responded to my father's needs and requests. They are always striving to improve the quality of life for each of the residents. They encourage residents to participate in activities and have regular entertainment which lifts their spirits.
My mother has been resident for nearly 5 months and I am delighted in all aspects of care and surroundings provided. I am comfortable that she is currently in a safe environment with an excellent level of continual supervision.
Moving our mum to Park Manor Oaks was an incredibly hard decision, but it's been the best one we could have made. She wasn't coping well on her own and the family was scattered far and wide. The team's compassion, patience, and care for my mum have been reassuring. They take account of different personalities and individual's likes and dislikes gently encouraging her to engage when she's withdrawn and involving her in the life of the home. They understand the power of music, entertainment and activities to boost the morale of the residents and families can take part too. During Covid, the home worked tirelessly to ensure we could still visit and stay connected. Whether through safe visits or other ways of communicating, they kept us close to Mum, which meant so much. Any inevitable medical incidents are managed with care, good communication and attention. Mum is getting older, but the dignity and respect she's shown here make all the difference. We feel lucky to have her here.
We as a family, are very pleased with the care my aunt is receiving. She is happy and content in her new surroundings, which is a blessing for us and for her due to her advanced dementia. She requires a lot of care as she is at the advanced stages of her illness and we are very grateful for all the help and support from the staff.
Nothing is too much trouble. From admission, my father-in-law has been so happy, he always looks well and clean the choice of food is fantastic and you only have to ask to ensure they get the correct care and attention. Staff are amazing and so kind, even when my mother lived here she was cared for in the best way possible. Always able to ensure health care professionals are in attendance. I cannot say anything out of turn for each and every staff member in Parkmanor. My father-in-law has put on weight and totally involved in all activities and he is still able to have a beer when he wants it. The biggest well done on such an amazing care home.
My parents both resided here when their ill health meant we could no longer look after them at home. An extremely difficult decision, but all staff from the hairdresser, domestic, carers & nurses welcomed them into the home with true compassion. My mother had a poor appetite & we witnessed staff offering her so many different choices of food & fluids not on their menus for that day. Entertainment/stimulus for residents & families was excellent & we used the private bar with numerous activities they provided to help them remember special occasions like Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, Saint Paddy's Day, 12th July (ensuring inclusion for everyone). Their sing-alongs & reminiscence sessions were excellent. Staff were very complimentary of management & the owners which was evident when they held cultural days to showcase the ethnic backgrounds of their staff. We as a family will never forget the excellent care my parents received there.
Dedicated staff kindness, home to home. Brillant entertainer and activities to suit all the residents very welcoming good overall standard. Very approachable with any concerns a lovely bunch of caring people.
I just want to thank these brilliant and kindly staff who took my mum into their hearts and made her a part of their family. I thank the staff from the bottom of my heart. They looked after my mum for over 3 years and they were her family.
My sister and I cannot thank every single member of staff in Parkmanor Oaks who looked after my mother. She was treated and cared for so well. Our mother passed away a few days ago. We stayed with her for the last few nights of her life and the care and attention she got was second to none. They were also extremely kind to us making sure we were comfortable and fed during such a difficult time. A big thank you to you all.
I am delighted with the care and compassion shown to my father and I at the end of his life by all the staff. I would particularly like to thank the manager and her team for everything they did. And his carer for nursing him.
We moved my dad from another home to this one. My sister and I were delighted with the care my dad received. The staff also looked after us very well. My dad passed on and I can honestly say that the dignity with which my dad was treated was outstanding. I would like to thank the home manager for all her care during this time. All the staff were brilliant but special thanks goes to four carers in particular, who were just fantastic.
Thank you so much to each and every one of the staff who are currently looking after my Nannie. In this time of social distancing, I’ve been so worried about my Nannie, and it’s so hard not to be in touch or see her. My Uncle just received a video message of my Nannie enjoying a sing-along with the staff - this has made my week! Thank you so much for all your hard work, care and attention.
Mum has been here nearly 2 years and during this time the staff have been amazing with her. They have also supported us as a family as her illness has progressed, keeping us updated at all times. Despite being extremely busy, they always take the time to treat mum well and look after her as best they can. As a family, we'd like to thank all of the team.
My mother's health deteriorated over the last few months and, eventually, I had to make the difficult decision to find a care home that fitted my Mum's needs. Following some research, Parkmanor Nursing home received outstanding reviews and comments and we were so lucky that they had a room. Mum is only in the care home for a few weeks, but the level of care she has received has been incredible. The facilities are excellent, the classes to stimulate the residents are well thought out and clever and the standard of food is excellent. However, what makes Parkmanor special is very simple. It is each and every one of the team that work there. From the head of services, nurses, care workers, canteen staff and cleaners, each and every one of them are special, caring people and have contributed to Mum settling in so quickly. We are blessed that Mum is content and receiving the care she needs, and for that reason, I cannot thank the team enough.
My mother was placed in Parkmanor Oaks in late August of this year and from the very beginning, she was made very welcome and part of the Parkmanor Oaks family. Myself and my family feel very at ease knowing she is being well cared for and looked after.
