Great to see live entertainment and old songs residents know. lots of effort made to make the place look topical ie Valentines. Nice to see the Bistro busy.

Avondale couldn't have done more for my husband in his 12 months as a resident. The staff always went out of their way to give him the best care. The entertainment was first class and I was really impressed with the way the home was run. The staff were also very considerate in his last days and were there for me and my family.

Beautiful decorations, so well done. Food delicious. Singer was excellent. Staff fantastic, getting Mum ready and bringing her through to the party. Staff all so friendly and fun, wonderful to watch them all being so caring to every resident and their family/visitors.

My sister and I would like to thank everyone at Avondale Care Home for looking after Mum so well for the last few weeks. All of the carers were kind, professional and caring with Mum. In particular, three ladies showed exceptional skill in dealing with a very upsetting situation. We both were greeted with kindness and reassurance. It was much appreciated so thank you all again, your efforts very much helped us through a difficult period.

Excellent care in a homely environment. The staff are caring and patient. The food is delicious and is catered to all tastes. Brilliant entertainment and always something to do. Nice coffee shops for residents to take their families and lots of special events which are enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to everyone.

Great staff, friendly and my dad has loved coming here and I am very, very grateful to the staff for looking after him. It's respite care which gives me a chance to have a holiday.

Re: Childrens Day 23/07/2024 A wonderful event well attended. Terrific to see the interaction between the residents and the children. All the staff worked incredibly hard to make sure that everyone felt comfortable and had a good time. My grandson was able to play with the other children and thoroughly enjoyed the games that had been organised. The food was delicious. Special mention to the Chef who provided pizza-making classes for the kids.

My thanks go to all the staff and supporters at Avondale. They treat my mum with respect and dignity and help her to maintain as much of her independence as possible. Residents are encouraged to join in a wide range of activities, which are arranged to encourage all abilities. My experience is that families are welcomed and kept informed of treatment and care plans.

Attended a spring party at Avondale and we had so much fun! Every time I visited Avondale, the manager, carers and nurses are all friendly and attentive. Thank you for taking such good care of our dear friend (resident at Avondale).

My son and I had a lovely time at a music event at Avondale. We felt the home manager went over and above for everyone, resident, family and staff. It was such a well-arranged event. We had a wonderful time and it showcased just how much they care for their residents.

The manager has been incredibly supportive of my nan on end-of-life care, he has been caring, polite and professional. He is a great support and needs some fantastic recognition for his exceptional commitment.

My mum has been at Avondale for several months, and I can’t fault the place. The staff treat Mum, and us, like family. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we’ve been encouraged to take in any of Mum’s possessions that will help her feel at home. She has a large painting from home hanging on her wall now, which the home’s maintenance crew put up the day we took it in. Also, Mum says the food is very good; if she fancies something in particular to eat, she only has to ask. We, as a family, feel confident that Mum is being well looked after, and I would recommend Avondale without hesitation.

I came to visit a family friend and found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. A very clean and comfortable environment. The chocolate brownie was amazing.

I needed a care home to convalesce after my complex hernia operation and found Avondale Care Home in Aylesbury. They were excellent. Flexible on start date. Excellent nursing care. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Very friendly social atmosphere.
