View Full Details of Cliftonville Care Home - Avery HealthcareI'm writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care my mother received during her time at Cliftonville. Although her residency was less than a year, she sadly passed away, 1st Nov 24, the care she received was truly remarkable. The staff went above and beyond in ensuring mum comfort and well-being. From the cleaner who brightened her day with friendly chats, to the carers who listened attentively and made time for her, everyone's dedication was evident. The management team for their consistent commitment to her care. During her last month she was under palliative care, the nurses' compassion, respect, dignity, and love were unwavering. The support extended beyond my mother's passing, providing my family and me with much-needed comfort during an incredibly difficult time. The entire team at Cliftonville are true angels, I cannot thank them enough for everything they did. I highly recommend Cliftonville to anyone seeking compassionate and dedicated care for loved ones.
My mother in law was a resident from June 2023 until she passed away on 17th December 2024. She started her Cliftonville Care Home journey on Lower Residential and loved meeting for coffee, meals and activities with other residents, whilst being reassured there was someone on hand to help her if she needed assistance. The staff, notably 2 staff members in particular, were fantastic with mum as were the Pink ladies in encouraging her to try new activities. Mum ended her time on nursing care - spending three months under the caring watch of the entire team. The care was exemplary and the team worked with us as a family to ensure mum's needs were met in the way we all wanted. The respect, dignity, compassion and love shown to mum was second to none and the way the senior staff especially 3 members in particular helped us come to terms with mum's decline was over and above what I would have expected. They are all true angels and I cannot thank them enough. I would recommend Cliftonville wholeheartedly.
After several falls, resulting in a two week stay in hospital, my cousin was moved into a Care Home. This was Christmas 2023. As my wife and I live in a Northampton village, it was difficult to visit my cousin because of family commitments. Therefore we approached Cliftonville Care Home in Northampton. After talking to management about the care required, we were offered a room. We arranged transportation and my cousin was transferred from Kent to Northampton. My cousin was cared for from April until late October when he passed. We found the home had good amenities, excellent food, amazing caring staff who we got to know well, the room was spacious and very clean. It was unfortunate that my cousins health was so poor, with severe dementia, meant he could not take full advantage of mixing with others, or taking part in the regular activities. We were completely satisfied with the care he was given and highly recommend the home.
My husband was taken into Cliftonville for Palliative/end-of-life care. He spent over three weeks being carefully nursed. The management team was always there if needed and the Reception staff were most kind and helpful to me under difficult circumstances. The nursing care he had was excellent and I never worried about if he was being well looked after. The carers did seem to care and the maintenance team was always around if a problem arose. The lounge areas and dining rooms were elegantly furnished, if I needed a break, residents' rooms were excellent, and we were welcome to make it our own with personal items. I have no hesitation in recommending Cliftonville.
Cliftonville Care Home only looked after my mum for a short period before her passing, but they were nothing short of excellent during Mum's stay with them. The end of life treatment towards Mum and our family was very good and I have nothing negative to report at all. Thank you to the wonderful team at Cliftonville for supporting our mum in her final days so well.
My father moved into Cliftonville just over a week ago and it feels like home already!! He has settled in so well. He has been looked after so well and the process from our first meeting with 3 of the managers to him moving in and meeting with 2 members of staff in particular and their team has been fantastically smooth and seamless. Dad's pictures and TV have already been put up by Andrew and it feels like home. He is also keen to join in with the many activities the marvellous Pink ladies run so well, which is so great. All of the staff we have met are friendly and engaging. I look forward to visiting Dad and I know that he is happy and safe and that he now has his own space. I have no hesitation in recommending Cliftonville.
Cliftonville has been fantastic. My stepfather has been in for a few weeks now, and they have really looked after him. He is in a full nursing bed and has multiple high-care needs. The management and senior nurses have been amazing and taken the time to understand his needs and explain what is happening at a difficult time. Many thanks. No hesitation in recommending it.
My father became a resident in February 2023. He has been looked after and cared for on the whole very well. Activities for the residents have improved of late giving them the opportunity to be creative, get a little exercise, or pat ponies or dogs. The staff are kind and helpful to the residents. Residents are provided with 3 good meals a day and they are taken care of in the dining room by the staff should they need help with feeding etc. If I had to mention one thing it would be teeth cleaning and shaving in my father's case. This does not appear to be done on a regular basis. Sometimes his teeth are so bad it's not nice to look at. So if that could be improved I would give the extra *. My father when he was able would shave every day. It is nice to see him clean-shaven. The management team is kind caring and helpful when difficult situations arise. The reception team is equally as polite and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend the care home for a loved one.
Very impressed with Cliftonville! My mum stayed for 6 weeks at the start of 2024, and we were very pleased with how well she was looked after. The management team are exceptional, and everyone communicates brilliantly. We were told about everything from medication changes to GP visits, which let us help Mum with decisions and support her with changes. The staff were caring and compassionate, and we were always pleased with how clean the room was and how comfortable Mum was. Overall 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone as a care home you can trust with your loved one!
I have been very pleased with the care and attention my mum has received and is still receiving. The staff and management have been excellent in supporting both my mother and her family, and she has settled in very quickly. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean, as are the social areas. Thank you for making this transition for her as smooth as possible.
Our mum has been a resident at Cliftonville care home for over 4 years. During her time living there, she has been well cared for by staff with compassion and kindness. The nurse leaders and carers know Mum and treat her with dignity and respect. Despite the many challenges of Covid, she was kept safe. The home is always clean and well-maintained, the food is of a high quality. The range of activities for residents has improved over the last 18 months. Regular GP visits ensure access to medical support as needed. The staff made a special effort to celebrate our mum's 90th birthday. There has been a significant number of changes at a managerial level which has sometimes made it difficult to resolve outstanding issues at pace. Moving forward we are more optimistic as the home has entered a more settled period with recent managerial changes.
All I can say about this care home is a massive thank you! The staff have been amazing since I needed them suddenly. In addition to looking after Mum with kindness, care and dignity, their professionalism really took the pressure off of us at a very difficult time. All of the staff have been very kind and helpful, especially the actual carers who are simply angels as far as I am concerned.
My nan has been part of the Cliftonville family for the past 4 years and it has given her a new lease of life! As a family, we love how well cared for she is and how welcoming all the staff are. The bedroom is always spotless, as well as the lounge which offers tea, coffee and biscuits for your visit. During Covid, the staff were a massive comfort to Nan and helped her to stay in touch with our family by teaching her to use video calls. We often look forward to the regular social media updates, with the personal favourite of the infamous carpet bowls competition on a Monday. This is one of Nan's highlights of the week and loves to show off the trophy when she has been triumphant. Along with the singalongs and movie screenings, the staff organised a party for Nan to celebrate her 100th and 101st birthday in style. Organising all the food and entertainment, these are 2 days we will not forget. We cannot wait to celebrate another year with Cliftonville!
Dad moved into Cliftonville Care Home in August 2022. He is 95 and has settled in well. He really enjoys ambling around the lovely garden area - almost as much as he enjoys the food! He actually put on weight in the first couple of months, which was great to see. We find the staff attentive and caring, they all know the residents extremely well and with different floors for different needs the residents aren't overwhelmed by lots of different people and new faces all the time, which we thought was an important aspect for Dad. The rooms seem to be well designed for their purpose and the overall layout of the home is very pleasing for residents and their visitors alike and we are all happy with the care Dad is receiving at Cliftonville and the fact that he has settled in so well.
My grandfather was nursed for 3 years after suffering a stroke. His sister, my great aunt, has been happy in residential for 3.5 years. I have visited frequently for over 6.5 years. As a nurse of 30 years, I can confirm that the home, standards of care and the staff are excellent. It is home from home for residents, with fresh decor, pretty gardens and it is always warm and spotlessly clean. The food is fresh, tasty and nutritious with varied menu choices. There is a cinema, a varied activity schedule for the residents and a hair salon with a visiting hairdresser. There is a summer fete and regular events for residents and their relatives. The staff all go the extra mile and nothing is too much effort, as well as all being caring and very kind. The main staff are all lovely, as are the rest of the team. I couldn't wish for my aunty to be better cared for. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, I admire you all for all you do.
My grandmother has been residing at Cliftonville Care Home for the past six months and all of the family have nothing but positive feedback. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted into a wonderful environment. The staff are all helped with anything you may need. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you everyone at Cliftonville Care Home for the care provided for my grandmother. There is nowhere she would rather be!
Excellent care home, staff always pleasant, helpful and courteous, despite being extremely busy. Thank you all and a huge thank you to the customer service manager who always goes the extra mile to make sure my father, who visits my mother all day everyday, is so very well looked after as well. It means so much, thank you again.
My Mum moved into the care home in April. She did not settle but the staff were very attentive and she was a lot better off than at home. In November she became ill and went into hospital, then came back to the nursing floor of the care home for end-of-life care where she was looked after very well and kept comfortable, dying peacefully. I was very happy with the care provided.
My Mother required end-of-life care, we had been assured that this care home could provide this level of care. Unfortunately, this was not our experience and I would not recommend this care home for this level of care. We had been promised that mother would be comfortable and pain-free for her final weeks and days. This was not the case and there were occasions where we had to push the nurse to administer morphine. This home seems to struggle retaining and recruiting staff. There was very little continuity of nursing staff with bank staff being used on a number of occasions, with the result that they were not familiar with my mother's needs. At one point an ambulance was called and she was taken to hospital because she had worsened, what did they expect as she was end of life! On mothers passing we submitted a formal complaint, this was not answered within the 28 days and I had to chase them for a reply. I understand the manager that started as my mother was admitted left some weeks later.
Just wanted to post a review to thank all of the staff involved in the end of life care of my friend of 45 years, who was in residence on 2nd floor from June to August 2023. I know that everyone involved in his care did their best to ensure that his dignity and quality of life was as good as it possibly could have been. This was appreciated by my friend and visitors to the home during his brief stay. I would have given a 5 star rating, but if I had a criticism it was that there were too few staff in the home, based on the fact that I have had 10 years experience of monitoring my father, who had dementia in another care home, and that the staff who were on site were constantly being thanked for working really hard to cover the shortfall and were clearly under pressure. Particular thanks goes to the nursing team and also the young entertainments lady, who on my friend's arrival personally went out of her way to ensure my friend had access to some things that the home did not normally have on site.
