View Full Details of Temple Manor Care HomeTemple Manor cared for my Uncle for the last four years of his life. He had some special needs, but at all times was treated with dignity, respect and love. The team here are lovely people who genuinely take an interest in your loved ones. My uncle loved talking to all the staff, thoroughly enjoyed the food and was very well looked after. I can't thank them enough.
Dad has been at Temple Manor for 4 months now and has settled in well. He has his own room which we were able to furnish from his own house so it is familiar, with plenty of room for photographs of family. The staff are friendly and caring and know how to bring out the best in Dad. The food is mostly home cooked which he enjoys, especially the puddings and cakes. He hardly ate anything before going into Temple Manor. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and I am so glad I found this care home and managed to get Dad into Temple Manor. He's two minutes away from us and it's a joy to go visit him now whereas previously we spent more time cooking, cleaning and washing so hardly got any time to sit down and chat. The best decision I have ever made relating to my Dad's care needs and I would recommend Temple Manor Care home every minute of every day! Excellent. I actually can't wait until I need a home.... as long as it's Temple Manor.
After a very stressful time with my mum being in hospital, the care homes in her local area, Wales, were not suitable for her needs. As I have always worked in care in a local nursing home for 26 years, I was aware of Temple Manor and had never heard any negative reviews. I decided to look around for my mum and I liked it as it was only small and not a great number of residents. I am really happy with Mum's care. She looks so much better since being there and is safe. The owner, manager and staff are lovely.
Dad has been at Temple Manor for a year now and has really settled in well. He has his own room which we were able to furnish from his own house so it is familiar, with plenty of room for photographs of family. The staff are friendly and caring and know how to bring out the best in Dad. The food is mostly home cooked which he really enjoys, especially the puddings and cakes. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, for example, it's Dad's birthday this week and they are arranging a party with the other residents and also offered us the dining room so that all the family can celebrate with him. I highly recommend Temple Manor.
My mother hated the idea of ending up in a care home but was very happy here, from day one. As a family, we were also happy with the whole organisation. There was a happy team spirit at all times. My mother lived there for fifteen months.
This is a small care facility and is a personal experience. Everyone knows my wife's name, and she is always happy to stay here. The food is cooked fresh and looks homemade. All the staff are friendly and welcoming when you visit. Any special requirements are sorted for you. I would recommend it without hesitation.
Temple Manor provides a home-from-home environment. We were able to bring Dad's own furniture and bits and pieces for his room so he felt comfortable and familiar, which helped when he had to leave his own house. The carers have a lovely way of talking to Dad and regularly have a laugh and joke with him. There is a home-cooked lunch and pudding, cakes and biscuits in the afternoon and drinks throughout the day. Dad always seems happy and has a good rapport with the carers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Temple Manor.
After having a bad experience with another care home, I was so glad to find Temple Manor for my mum. Being a smaller, independent, owner-run care home the management is very hands-on, the staff are welcoming, caring and look after my mum with the respect and dignity she deserves. The hairdresser comes in and does Mum's hair, so she always looks lovely when we visit and dressed nicely. I can't comment on the food as I am never there at mealtimes, but it certainly smells good, and Mum has no complaints. No one wants to find themselves in the position of their parent going into care, but I feel she is in safe hands and well looked after, which I am sure has not always been easy through the covid pandemic. Well done to the director and his team.
I would like to thank all the staff at Temple Manor for making my dads birthday a nice one. I most appreciated the gifts and cards from staff and other residents families, small gestures matter. A big thank you to the kitchen staff for the beautiful cake she made him, he was over the moon.
My mother is extremely happy at Temple Manor and has been here for 5 years. Both staff and facilities are first class. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
From my first visit prior to my mum coming to live at Temple Manor, I've found the staff team welcoming and friendly. I think the quality of care provided is very high and the whole staff team including the cooks/kitchen staff have always been extremely caring towards my mum, spending time with her, painting her nails etc and welcoming us when we visit. I feel she is in safe hands.
Excellent care. Friendly and homely. Good food and lovely surroundings.
Temple Manor is an excellent place. My mum in law is happy there. She always tells me the food is good and it is, I've tried it myself. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you.
Mum has been at Temple Manor for a number of years now. First daily visits and eventually as a resident. The care is extremely good and as mum says, the food is excellent. I have recommended other people and they agree. I have moved away from Selby without ever thinking of moving mum nearer to me so I just travel to see her. I know she is really cared for. Excellent place.
Very homely and warm feeling on arrival. Staff always making sure you are Ok and everything you want or need while you are visiting. Clean and tidy home.
I visit a friend and am always made welcome. She is always in good spirits and enjoys the food.
Excellent care in pleasant surroundings by dedicated staff.
Excellent care and set up. Staff great with residents. Food is excellent. Always made to feel welcome.
My mother has been a resident for several years and I would not move her anywhere else. The staff are excellent and look after the residents with compassion if needed but also lots of laughs and fun. The food is also very good and made onsite with fresh produce. Even a birthday cake on that special day. A fabulous home if one is needed.
This is the best care home. The staff are excellent. My mother-in-law loves this facility.
