Had an excellent experience when visiting one of your residents. He is always highly complimentary about Elm Bank and says the staff are "marvellous" I was very encouraged to see him so well looked after & look forward to my next visit. Always appreciate the welcoming atmosphere in the reception area.
After a nasty fall at home, a spell in hospital and an unfortunate experience of NHS 'step down' care, we found Elm Bank for our father. From the outset everyone has been so professional and caring, moving dad at great speed to the comfort of his new surroundings. As we negotiate his new needs out and about we keep meeting so many people with lovely experiences of Elm Bank to share... We are confident that we have chosen the right place for Dad and that his journey will proceed as successfully as it has begun.
Friendly, helpful staff helped my father in law to settle in. Facilities modern but very comfortable for residents and visitors. Good staff to resident ratio. Good feedback from local people on this care home. Reassures us to choose it.
Having tried other homes. I chose Elm Bank.
I visit my friend on a regular basis. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
I never thought we'd find a home good enough to look after my grandma. She means the world to us, so as you can imagine, no one could care for her as well as we'd like. Well, I stand corrected. My grandma has been given a new lease of life. I cannot thank the manager enough for supporting and enabling such a rapid move into Barchester Elm Bank Care Home. She immediately put us at ease. One staff member in particular greeted us on arrival with a warm and friendly welcome, displaying a personable, professional introduction to the home. My grandma is now engaging in social activities and has a good friend among the residents. I love the banter I hear between the team and my grandma. It's exactly what she needed. The family are all made to feel welcome when we visit and the kids love the hot chocolate when they visit grandma. Thank you to all the team, I'm sorry I can't list you all, but all contributions to her care mean everything to us.
All the staff are very friendly, the place is so clean and lots of activities going on.
My brother settled well but wish he would interact more. Is encouraged but prefers his own company! So he says.
The best asset at Barchester Elm Bank Care Home is the wonderful staff. Without exception, everyone is welcoming and cheerful. We witnessed the very caring attitude of one member of staff who was patiently encouraging a resident to try some food. As well as helping them to drink and eat, she offered several suggestions of varying items, bringing them to the table to try. Although we were only staying for a week, the chefs preordered special dietary requirements and daily checked the suitability of the menus with us. Our break was refreshing and beneficial. It felt as though we were part of a big happy family.
Mum is extremely well cared for and looked after. The food is great and coffee and biscuits aplenty at all times. The entertainment/activities are regular and plentiful and residents are even taken offsite to visit places and things of interest on a regular basis. All the staff are friendly and caring so I am comfortable that this is a great place for Mum to see out her remaining days.
My friend, who has resided at Barchester Elm Bank Care Home for the last five years, I find that he is more than satisfied with his environment and also the staff who look after him and have his best interests for his well-being.
As a family, we cannot put into words how caring, supportive and professional all the staff and management have been at Barchester Elm Bank Care Home. From the first day we set foot through their door, we were looked after and treated as family. They have all looked after my mother and father so well. Me and my wife could not be happier with the care and support that has been given to my parents and us over the past twelve weeks. Thanks to all of you for helping us at this difficult time.
I now have peace of mind that my mum is being cared for in such a beautiful, comfortable home, that Barchester Elm Bank Care Home is. Mum is so much happier and has a visitor most days, they chat and have a good laugh. Elm Bank is such a lovely name and Mum seems very comfortable.
Comfortable in Barchester Elm Bank Care Home. Have just decided to be permanent after trying respite in two or three other places.
My carer was excellent on my visit to the hospital. We are more than satisfied with the care and support we receive at Barchester Elm Bank Care Home. I would recommend it to all of my friends and relations. The staff are very supportive, kind and willing to do anything you ask. We have found it a happy experience and feel much at home here. Any time, during the night or day, we can receive support within a few moments.
Very happy with the good, friendly care my mum gets. Always happy to help.
My mother has been at Blossom Trail for a couple of months now. She is much happier and settled on this floor. She has a bit more help which goes a long way. Well done to all staff that helps her, gives me a bit of peace of mind. Thank you.
Following a fall, while at a previous care home, and a hip replacement, Mum has done really well at Barchester Elm Bank Care Home. She has been encouraged to eat, is fed well, has taken part in activities and been so much more socially involved with others than she was before. I am pleased with how she has progressed and happy with the level of care.
A very pleasant home, light and airy. My partner was on the dementia floor for respite. The staff came across as caring and experienced. The room was clean with a wet room, facilities looked good. It's just a real pity I was told they couldn't have her again when I picked her up. She has a rare form of dementia; maybe if she was a permanent resident things may have been different.
