View Full Details of Heather GrangeAt 96 years old and having always lived in her own home or with my brother, we were worried about her settling in a care home. From day one the Heather Grange team made it easy for my mother. They are professional, caring and friendly at all times. Mum has had a new lease of life and is much more active and alert than before. This is clearly due to the general environment and many social activities that she is encouraged to join in. She loves the place and people.
If you are looking for a beautiful, clean care home with friendly, caring, knowledgeable and professional staff then take a look at Heather Grange. From the moment we looked around the home we knew it was the best home for my dad to stay to keep him living well with dementia. During his time there he enjoyed lots of the activities and outings. All the staff were always very supportive and welcoming to the family, especially to my mum who visited my dad most days. We were always updated on how he was doing and when needed they arranged for all his health/medical needs to be treated by the nurse/GP who visited the home. Whilst there, my dad enjoyed a drink of his favourite tipple and a singalong to many of his favourite songs. Being cared for at Heather Grange meant that my dad had the best possible care away from his own home in his later stages of dementia. Thank you to all the hardworking staff for all they did for my dad and family, especially the care and love shown during his final days.
Since my mother arrived here in April, we have seen an amazing transformation in her (beneficial). I feel the main reasons for this are social integration and practically the activities. To see the joy on her face while holding a newborn chick and the pride on her face while displaying her flower arrangement was a joy for us to behold. She always looks immaculately groomed and clean. Thank you.
Mum took the decision that she needed some respite care for a couple of weeks. Mum had been at home the last few months with carer support four times a day, four nights a week although the progression of her condition was making this much more challenging. It was time for me to act quickly. Mum had already decided she wanted to go to Heather Grange, so I called them straight away! I started the process, every touch point was friendly, efficient and friendly. It was my job to do a pre-stay view and report back to Mum. I was really pleased with my first impressions particularly as the team on shift was not expecting me (my error!) it was no problem whatsoever. I excitedly hurried back to see Mum to update Mum on my observations and from there on in! Mum excitedly started her preparing for Heather Grange. From the moment Mum arrived she loved it! One of my favourite moments was going to a coffee shop and having the home-cooked biscuits with Mum. Thank you Heather Grange Team.
Our father spent the last two weeks of his life in Heather Grange after a sudden and drastic decline in his health. I honestly don't believe there could have been a better place for him to spend his final days. I would like to personally thank all of the staff at the home on behalf of my whole family.
Great staff, and fantastic activities for the residents to take part in. Mother-in-law feels safe, calm and happy living here. Always a great range of food at every mealtime for the residents to choose from.
We have had nothing but positive experiences with Heather Grange and the staff. Mum is so well looked after and we are very happy with her care.
Lovely care home with the most amazing staff there. There is always something happening such as activities and trips. An amazing place for my grandad to stay.
The staff really build great relationships with the residents and get to know them individually. My nan loves to dance and often finds staff putting on music and dancing with her and she is always smiling and happy. They also throw wonderful events for them. It’s a really warm welcoming environment and nan is treated like family we are very happy with the service.
I looked around various homes in the area and found Heather Grange to be the best. Since my mother moved in, I have not been disappointed. All the staff have been extremely supportive of me and my mother, and the care and support given have been excellent by all. Also, the activities have been wonderful, it is a pleasure to see my mum engaged.
Outstanding care facilities, whether it’s short or long-term care the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect to the Individual needs of each person. A full program of entertainment and daily activities kept all the residents' spirits up. The daily menu was varied and the food was of a good standard. All staff from cleaners, admin and caregivers were more than happy to have a chat and make you a brew. It’s a home-from-home kind of place. A happy home.
Mum is a resident and as a family we are extremely happy with the care and attention she receives at Heather Grange. The staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, she goes on regular trips and there’s lots of activities going on which she joins in with. She’s safe, happy, and well cared for, we couldn’t ask for more.
My mum had been a resident here now for nearly a year, she is well looked after and cared for and is ultimately happy. My mum has dementia but she is free to access any part of the home that she wants to when she wants. I love that she goes out during the week with staff and all the different entertainment that happens to keep her mind stimulated. Staff are always kind, caring, and genuinely caring and nothing is too much trouble. I have visited many care homes in my career and this one is far superior because of the person-centred care people receive. I honestly have no worries when I leave my mum after a visit. She is always clean, her nails are painted, and her hair looks nice.
Came into the care system 8.5 months ago having been diagnosed with Kursakoff Syndrome. Been here for 6 months and being born very locally, find living here to be almost like living at home. The staff are very approachable, helping solve any issues I may have. Cannot fault the care home at all.
My dad has had two years of happiness, therefore so have I they can't do enough for him I enjoy my three visits a week.
Dad has been a resident for just over a year. In that time he has been very well cared for. The home always has plenty going on and the residents are never short of activities. A very clean, well-run home that is always a welcoming place to come. The staff that I have dealt with regularly have all been brilliant.
My mother arrived at Heather Grange for palliative care and the end stage of her life. Everybody at Heather Grange was so welcoming and put my whole family and Mum at ease straight away, which made the whole process easier to deal with. The whole atmosphere is great, and staff were supportive and always treated my mum with dignity and respect.
My grandmother was at Heather Grane for a short amount of time. However, was very well looked after at the end of her life. Music was playing, and the staff were very caring. My grandmother was comfortable. I can't thank the staff enough for their wonderful care.
All aspects of care are carried out to a very high standard. Extremely happy and comfortable knowing my mother is under Heather Grange care.
It was with much sadness and a feeling of guilt we were advised that our lovely mum would require 24-hour care, so the search began. Thankfully we came across Heather Grange. Mum's needs have been addressed and met from day one. Our mum had stopped eating properly before moving to Heather Grange. Now she eats exceptionally well and is always clean and comfortable. The care home and her room are exceptionally clean and she enjoys the entertainment and activities provided. Most of all the staff are kind and caring to both Mum and her family, treating Mum with dignity and respect always.
