View Full Details of Swinton GrangeDuring my visits to the home visiting my friend I have seen a remarkable difference in her overall physical and mental health and well being. It is wonderful to see each and every time the high quality of care delivered and kindness that is shown consistently and genuinely to all service users by all staff members. It is clear that from initial assessment through transition to settling into her new home here her quality of life has increased and improved significantly. A large range of activities are always offered and available with a dynamic activity coordinator who is super friendly, patient and supportive. Initially she was not eating due to her condition, within a short time of being here the staff have put together an individualistic holistic approach which has worked wonders! My friend is now eating, drinking and enjoying her meals! I have worked in many different nursing homes over the years, this home stands out miles. I highly recommend!
Lovely staff, take their time with all the residents. Very well run nursing home.

My dad is a resident for 3 years and my experience is very supportive carers who make every effort to care for my dad and his needs. I visit most days and can see my dad needs are met. He isn't able to do anything for himself. Our feedback is always listened too and out wishes are followed through. Carers are always busy but nothing is too much trouble.
Brilliant fun Christmas party including all residents and families. Staff are selfless and brilliant ensuring everyone joined in and had fun. Beautiful buffet enjoyed by all. We are always happy with the standard of care provided to mum. Staff treat her like she is one of their own and you can't asked for more than that.
We are really happy with the care and consideration they show my brother. Couldn't be in a better place.
Staff went all out for Christmas for the residents had a singer food always made to feel welcome had a raffle can not put anything bad about it has my dad is well cared for always welcome me and my partner they do there best for residents and family
Mum was unable to stay at her home due to mobility issues and sadly due to struggling with daily activities and both personal and cognitive decline. Recent hospital admission also confirmed it wasn't safe for her to live alone with, minimal support. The decision to move to Swinton Grange. From the beginning, the manager met Mum at the hospital. Including my perspective. Visited the home, staff rapport was amazing. Home from Home. Involved in the transfer, Mum accepted the home. Worried about Christmas but was involved in all the activities. In turn, the family are totally involved and offers support at a difficult time.
My husband was on end-of-life care and was only in Swinton Grange for 6 days. The care he received was second to none and all the staff looked after him and me brilliantly. Not a posh place but everyone was so helpful and caring.
Absolutely amazing care for my Mother-in-law, the staff are friendly helpful, and extremely caring for all residents. The staff can't help you enough with the care of your loved one, all residents are clean well fed, and genuinely cared for by all the staff. Communication between staff, and the nurses who work at the care home is fantastic. In the last few days of our loved ones' stay here, the staff went above and beyond to support our family through a very difficult time, we are forever grateful to everyone at Swinton Grange.
Since my wife has been in Swinton Grange the overall experience has been excellent, the management through to the staff have gone out of their way to help my wife and me. My wife's dementia has hit a very trying stage for us all, the management have been in battle with the local mental health team to get the support my wife needs, they're just not listening to them, yet they keep trying. It will be a sad day if my loved one has to leave Swinton Grange. Yes it's an old building, yes it may creak a bit, yes the paint may be peeling off the odd old wooden window, but it's the love, care and dedication inside that matters.
Was made to feel welcome by the staff. Security was first class. Care received is good.
On arrival at the home, we have always been greeted with a smile and welcome. All the staff speak to you and offer a coffee or tea.
The staff are lovely; really caring and considerate to residents. My mum was transferred after a long stay in hospital and was a little unsettled at first. The staff treated her with dignity and respect and quickly made her feel comfortable and at home. They are very friendly when I visit and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend Swinton Grange.
All the staff are incredibly friendly and always helpful. They look after my nan incredibly well. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they treat her with dignity and respect. All staff are an absolute credit to the care home. They always make sure she is well fed, offer drinks regularly, make sure she gets involved in the activities room, and just well cared for at all times.
