View Full Details of Briarscroft Residential Care HomeInitially, I was concerned that my dad would not like the care home. He likes it and I believe he feels well cared for. I have two issues however, firstly, sometimes communication is poor EG when messages have been passed on, sometimes I feel I need to chase. Secondly, his toilet has still not been replaced. Overall I am happy with the care that is provided. Thank you.
Our mum has been at Briarscroft for almost 3 years, and we cannot credit and thank the care professionals and the management team enough for the care provided to our mum, who has advanced dementia. They have not only given outstanding care to Mum but have provided our family with help and support and go above and beyond. We can't thank you enough. Highly Recommended.
Mum has been at Briarscroft for nearly 4 years and can honestly say we couldn't have chosen a better place, the staff are wonderful so kind and caring and always make the effort to engage with Mum. The rooms are beautiful and always immaculately cleaned too. Mum always enjoys the food and loves the singers who come regularly to entertain. There is a real homely feel to the place we will be forever grateful for welcoming Mum and us into the Briarscroft family.
Nice, clean environment. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always have time to listen to any concerns you may have and implement changes if needed. Good food and very nice rooms. Plenty of activities for residents to take part in.
My dear friend has been part of Briarscroft family since 2021. They look after each and every service user with so much care and consideration. There is always something going on whether it's bingo or a sing song. When the sun is shining the grounds are so lovely to sit and have a cuppa. They are all a credit to the care profession as I know it's a hard job. Thank you to you all. I know I can rest assured my friend is being looked after.
Briars Croft is always immaculately clean and the staff are so attentive to residents. Friendly and helpful service always. We couldn't have asked for better care for a loved one - the entertainment for residents really makes it stand out and we would recommend it to anyone.
My Dad has been living in Briarscroft since July 2024. He is settled, well cared for and thriving in their care. Can't fault anything, From his own room being spotless and the care he receives daily is wonderful. Dad has been welcomed by all of the staff and treated like one of the family. His care needs are fully met and I can now enjoy a Father and son relationship once again. Briarscroft is highly recommended.
I cannot express enough gratitude to Briarscroft Residential Care Home for the outstanding care they provided to my grandad during his time there. From the moment he arrived, it was evident that this was more than just a care facility. It was a community filled with compassion and dedication. They treated him with the dignity and respect he deserved which meant so much to our family. Even during challenging moments, their professionalism and kindness never wavered. What truly stood out was how they made an effort to keep us informed and involved. Regular updates, genuine communication and a warm welcome whenever we visited made us feel like partners in his care. The environment itself was warm and inviting with clean, well-maintained spaces and a calm, homely atmosphere. Briarscroft didn't just provide care - they created a safehaven where he could live with dignity and comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and expert care for a loved one. They truly make a difference.
My mom moved in recently and I cannot be happier with how she has settled in. The care team and management, all staff are so lovely and friendly. I've already seen how thoughtful and caring they are to each resident, nothing is too much for them. The place, all round, is spotless, very clean and it is very welcoming. Thank you Briarscroft Residential Care Home for welcoming my mom.
This care home is truly exceptional. The care, time and compassion they show the service users is unparalleled. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone who is seeking accommodation for a loved one.
My mum spent 2 weeks at Briarscroft Residential Care Home having respite care whilst she recovered from a leg injury. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there and had nothing but praise for the staff. The staff reciprocated a genuine warmth towards her which helped ease any concerns that I had about her staying in a care home for the first time. If she needs further respite care, Briarscroft will be the first phone call I make.
Staff helpful, especially at settling dad when anxious. Good communication when issues and when info needed. Friendly, welcoming environment.
My mom moved in December 2023 following my being unhappy with the quality of her previous care home. As soon as I viewed Briarscroft Residential Care Home, I knew that she would be happy here and I could finally breathe! The staff are kind, relatable and fun, they care for the residents so well without being patronising. My mom has made friendships with other residents and it's happy. This isn't the care home you imagine with residents sat in front of a TV like zombies. This is a happy and vibrant "hotel-like" home. Food - amazing and plenty of it! Hygiene - can't be faulted. Decor - relaxing and lovely. Garden - amazing and so useful for those who cannot get out into the community. I will have missed so many things I would like to say but thank you Briarscroft for changing our lives!
When I first came here, I was very shy and I did not know anyone but when I started to talk to them, I got to know them and I came out of my shell and now the charity has finished, I am volunteering here ever Wednesday. I run coffee and tea mornings on my own and now I get to know the staff and residents and I love coming here. I think it is a good experience to come here to volunteer or be on placement.
Clean home, my dad gets all his medication and meals. Staff are really helpful. He seems to be happy in the care home. Me and my brother know he's in good hands.
A very positive experience was had when visiting my auntie. All the staff were smiling, helpful and very engaging. My auntie is very happy and the fact she is able to have her pet cat in her room is a bonus. I had a conversation with the management who are very understanding of my auntie's needs. I left feeling very happy and delighted she is a resident of such a fabulous and caring facility.
My nan has gone into Briarscroft for respite. She has settled so well she said it's better than her own home so she's staying. Always someone to speak to residents and staff. The staff are amazing, you walk in and the smiles and laughter it's like you walking into a welcome party, it's bright and welcoming and the cleanliness smells so lovely not like the usual care home smell. As soon as you walk there is a beautiful staircase. Special occasions are celebrated so lovely activities are constantly. I'm just so very happy and I can visit when I can, apart from meal times but I'm happy she can have her meals in peace and with her friends.
This is an amazing care home. All the staff are lovely, and they treat residents well. They take great care of the resident's needs. And promote amazing festive activities. The facilities are amazing. The cleaning is amazing. They treat all patients with dignity.
Braiarscroft is an exceptional care home. Though I have rated "mainly good", if there are any issues/problems, they have been sorted straight away. All the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. Dad is always well looked after, clean and tidy. The facilities and entertainment are also very good. I would recommend Braiarscroft to anyone looking for a care home.
My sister has been a resident at Briarscroft Residential Care Home since April 2023. My sister can be very challenging with her dementia but the team are very caring when it comes to my sister. When we first entered the home I felt the love and care of the home and staff, my sister is struggling to settle but this does not deter the carer's time for my sister, always there for her. It's the little things that I have noticed such as carers coming up to my sister when starting their shift and giving her a hug and sitting chatting with her. The food is extremely good my sister has even put some weight on. Her room is lovely clean and tidy, her washing is all returned tidy and well-ironed. The activities are good with some good shows. My only slight criticism is that the odd sing-alongs recalls tunes from the last 2 world wars. When we had some modern singers singing popular current pop songs the residents seemed to interact more lively. But Overall the home is excellent, loving and caring.
