View Full Details of Mercy Care Centre (Comprising Mount Carmel House & Beaumont House)My mother has been under the care of everyone at the Mercy Care Centre for the last five years. From admission to her death last month, we, as a family, have been treated with great sympathy, support, kindness and compassion. Her admission was efficient at very little notice. She soon settled into her new routine. The care needs were assessed and instantly met. As her situation varied her care needs were always met with great kindness and love. I can't fault the care home in any way. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any other family who find themselves in a similar situation. I thank all the staff for making the time we had with our mother enjoyable and safe through some difficult times. Bless you all.
My Grandmother had a fall at this care home in November 2021. This fall resulted in a 5-month hospital admission and a broken back. NHS 111 was called not 999. Paramedics reported she was left alone on the floor for at least 7 hours before they arrived. Paramedics raised safeguarding concerns and I raised safeguarding concerns. There was a police investigation including a member of staff being interviewed under Police Caution. Grandmother's toenails were never cut but we were told they were. Her handbag was lost and has never been found. Daily my nan cried, her mental health and mobility rapidly declined. She verbally said that she was being hurt physically. The family was reassured it was her just dementia. This was totally out of character for our Nan who has never said this before, despite being in a variety of different care settings. A 5-month hospital admission, safeguarding investigation, police investigation, and our Gran's massive decline in her physical and Mental Health here.
Recommended by a friend, they said I would be alright there. I have been here since September 2016 I am very happy here. The staff and grounds are very good.
My family, my brother, sister and myself have had a very stressful year. My mother sadly passed away leaving us to care for our father (who has vascular dementia). It became more and more difficult to care for our father at home. Unfortunately, Dad needed 24/7 care and Beaumont House did not have any vacancies, therefore he went to another home for a period of time. Beaumont House advised us of a room vacancy in December and we decide to move Dad. How glad we are we made that decision. The staff are brilliant, very caring. They care for our Dad brilliantly with dignity. The care he receives helps us to cope with a very difficult situation.
Physically the home is clean and well appointed. As well as the communal lounges there are other rooms and small areas for visitors and residents to have privacy. Tea and coffee are always available and offered and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff are very aware of resident's individual likes and dislikes and do their best to cater for them.
Excellent care. Staff always available to assist residents.
I have always found the home spotlessly clean, residents are always well cared for and given lots of entertainment and care. The staff are always welcoming and polite. The gardens are all well maintained, a pleasant view for residents and somewhere to sit in summer. Residents can have hair and beauty treatment which makes a difference to their well being. A wonderful home for those who need care.
My mum has been a resident at the care home for over 12 months. The care she has received has been excellent. The staff are dedicated and very respectful. My mum is well cared for, clean and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to others.
My aunt has been very well cared for in all of her needs. The staff are extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble to make her as comfortable and happy. The management keeps me informed of all her medical needs and ensures her well-being. If there is a concern, they do not hesitate to call for a doctor. The activities and trips are well subsidised. The entertainment in-house is very frequent and varied to suit all the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
Staff are friendly as are the management. Residents and visitors are treated with respect and all the team members are very courteous. Too cold to go outdoors at present but this facility is available in better weather and this varies the environment for the residents. On all areas where I have not scored excellent, I have done so because there is always room for improvement no matter how small that might be.
A calm, friendly environment with caring and understanding staff. Staff work hard but always have time to support residents and relatives. Overall, a gentle and caring ethos.
Staff are kind and caring. My mum has been a resident for four years and I am overly happy with the care she receives. The accommodation is hygienic, clean and always smells nice. She is very happy with her surroundings. She loved the fireworks on 5th November 2016. Thank you Beaumont House for her care.
