My mother-in-law was a resident here for 6 months, she sadly passed away in February this year. I can honestly say her care was outstanding the support workers were very caring towards my mother-in-law, the activity coordinators were very enthusiastic, and the kitchen staff always made sure residents were happy with their meals and often changed them to suit individuals. The housekeepers were very pleasant always having a chat with my mother-in-law when putting her clean clothes away. The ladies at reception were always willing to help with a smile, the hairdresser always engaged with the residents. The nurses were professional and one of them always kept us up to date with any concerns we had the managers were very easy to talk to and were involved with residents. I loved that they knew all their names such a personal touch and the volunteers gave up their own time to sit and chat with residents. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, a credit to you all.

Outstanding care, from everyone. Have the time to talk to you, very friendly. I would recommend to anybody. It really is like a home from home.

This is a lovely care home, and the day staff are excellent. They go above and beyond and the home is full of laughter. The activity staff are excellent too, and the activities are varied and plentiful. Mum is a fussy eater, which is a challenge, she does not always like the menu, but the kitchen staff will offer alternatives. Sometimes it takes, what feels like, a long time to answer the busser for toilet trips. This can cause Mum distress and frustration. The communal rooms have been decorated to a high standard, and it is lovely taking Mum out of her room. Excellent gardens!

I was phoned by a staff member to ask if I would like my sister to go on an outing to a seaside town for fish and chips. I was so happy for her to go. She went yesterday July 2024 and she was over the moon with it. She enjoyed the journey as it was her first outing in 10 months, so it was very special. I went to visit her today and she was full of it. She said she had scampi and chips and it was just as she likes it and the friendliness was so positive. Thank you Hengist Field.

A huge pat on the back to all staff members who contributed to the Hengist Field BBQ. A fantastic day for residents and families with excellent food and entertainment and attention to detail throughout the afternoon. Well done to you all.

I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, all the staff and management, with no exception. The food was great, the entertainment was good and my mother and everyone I spoke to enjoyed the event.

On all my visits to a friend at Hengist, I have been amazed at the help, care and attention I have received just as a visitor. I have been with my fried when staff have been with him and the pleasant care that they have taken has been exemplary.

Food good. Service good. I have been all around the world and it is as good as any hotel. There for two weeks whilst my family are on holiday. Will let everyone know about you all. Many thanks.

Every member of staff in all departments works very hard to make sure my mother is comfortable and well-fed. All of the staff are friendly with a smile and a hello each time I am there. My mother is bedbound with dementia but even new staff make sure my mother's needs are catered for.

We had a lovely afternoon with Mum and the other residents at the summer BBQ. The activities team had worked so hard to set up the outdoor area and provide things for the residents and families to do. The food was delicious and much appreciated.

We attended a family bbq organised by Hengist Field Care Centre. Top marks. Well done team. Faultless. We felt special. Mum is treated with care and dignity. Staff fantastic!

It's been a good experience. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I'm always kept informed of things where my uncle is concerned. All emails are responded to quickly. I'm glad I chose here for my uncle.

Although my mother has been here for only one week, she has been made to feel very welcome. The care she has received has been excellent, and we feel she has been well looked after.
