View Full Details of Edgehill Care HomeThe team and all the experts here are amazing my uncle was looked after so well he was able to return to a semi normal life with care in his own place. Thank you so much all team.
My family member lived at Edgehill for a number of years, and I honestly don't know what we would have done, as a family, without them. They were so supportive of our family as well as providing above and beyond care to my family member. I will always recommend this wonderful home to anyone!
My mother-in-law recently moved into this care home and she has already settled in well. The staff are friendly and very welcoming we are always asked if we want to know anything and the staff are always happy to help. Recently we attended a family day with a BBQ and entertainment, we had an amazing time. My mother-in-law loved it too. What an excellent home - well done!
Mum moved into Edgehill Care Home after a period of illness, since moving in she has smiled again and is happy to be in Edgehill. The staff are brilliant can answer any questions we have, and look after mum brilliantly. The overall standards of cleanliness, care, food and activities are second to none. Members of the family attended a BBQ with entertainment it was outstanding.
Gramps was admitted to Edgehill Care Home as he was taken unwell at home following a stay in hospital and it was decided he could not manage at home. However very grateful we were. He loved the home and the staff. He, although not a people person, spent time in the dining area with the others, and spent time in the garden with people. We as a family were able to visit 24/7. We even took him to the pub. I am so pleased the last weeks of his life was at Edgehill.
I have been so impressed with Edgehill Care Home since my dad has been there for some respite. The home always has a calm, relaxed and contented feel to it. The staff are always approachable and show such kindness and empathy with residents on an individual basis. The food cannot be faulted the meals are to a high standard and there are plenty of cups of tea and snacks available. Residents are kept busy and there are lots of activities/games to keep them entertained, stimulated and engaged. What is most important to us as a family is knowing that dad is safe and well cared for and the compassion and genuine fondness are shown in abundance by staff. I cannot thank all at Edgehill enough for everything they do in what is a very difficult and challenging job. The staff at Edgehill should be very proud of the service they provide.
My great-grandad was treated extremely well at Edgehill Care Home. The staff are warm and kind and management helped with any queries I had. The only nice things we say about the home and the staff. I have the utmost respect towards all the staff and would recommend this home to everyone in the future.
My gran moved in just before Christmas and she has improved so much since being at Edgehill. She enjoyed the company of the other residents and she always enjoys the activities. The staff are always working hard and she has settled in really well. It's such a relief for the family knowing she is well looked after and we are now considering Grandad moving in too!
The team here are amazing and their care is absolutely the best. They are attentive and made sure every resident is well cared for in an empathetic way and with dignity. I live abroad so it is nice to know she is well cared for. They gave the residents an amazing Christmas and are very welcoming to the family. Certainly the best home in Swindon.
The manager and the entire team at Edgehill are to be congratulated for today's BBQ for residents and family/friends. Despite the unseasonal weather, the food and entertainment were excellent. The care staff were very friendly and fully engaged with the residents, who enjoyed the event. Although Mum only recently moved to Edgehill, we have confidence in the team, and look forward to future visits.
Great staff, very helpful in all ways. Attention to needs. Regular updates. All in all, very good. I could have moved my father, 80, much closer but because of his treatment, I have left him here.
All the staff were very caring and showed love to my mum. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum adored all the staff and was very comfortable with the staff and residents. I am so pleased that mum spent her last days in such a warm and caring care home. I had no worries about mum residing there, they are all special people. If their job is hard at times you would never know it. First class!!
Throughout covid the home was amazing with the care of residents when mum had covid they were amazing with her (she's 96) she was extremely ill but they pulled her through, kept us up to date and treated her like their own mum. She has Alzheimer's and unfortunately had to go into a home just before covid. She is happy and settled and would highly recommend the home and often do. The staff and management are truly your biggest asset here.
Edgehill is a friendly and warm home where the residents are cared for with care and dignity. All the facilities are clean and well-organised. Meals are of a high standard. Staff are very professional. Overall, Edgehill is a well-managed home where standards are high and I am very pleased that I found Edgehill for my neighbour that I care for and act as lasting power of attorney to.
For the last five years, my sister has been a resident at Edgehill Care Home in Swindon. It took a while for me to adjust to having a sister in a care home. Initially I was not that happy with the running of the home, its cleanliness, the personal care administered to my sister. I thought there was a lack of a one-to-one relationship, in particular her dress and personal help in really understanding what my sister was able to do and not do. However, over the last year or more, I have seen a tremendous change in the way my sister is managed and cared for. The staff, albeit changing from time to time, which goes with care homes, really take great care of my sister and are interested in her as a person and not just a commodity. The care home is clean, with no smells, very welcoming and one thing which I think is paramount that the activities set up, normally at least one a day, is excellent and keep, as much as possible, all residents involved.
My 85-year-old Mum went into Edgehill for a three-week respite. She was noted as a fall risk on admission. On her 6th day, she had a fall in her room and fractured her arm. She was returned from the hospital with paracetamols only. Edgehill took a week to organise stronger medication. In that week they also lost my Mum's hearing aids and glasses. Basically in that week, she must have been in pain and unable to see or hear. I can only imagine the distress she must have been in. A few days later she rolled out of bed and dislocated her shoulder. She went from Edgehill to the local hospital (again), where she remains 3 months later. She's basically been going downhill ever since and that all really started from her time at Edgehill. On a separate note, within an hour of admission, we were told that the home had a new Covid outbreak and was closed to visitors. My Mum went into another Agincare home a few months earlier and exactly the same thing happened there on admission.
Always clean and tidy, staff very attentive, variety of food and drinks. Lots of activities to keep residents happy.
Today's visit happened to be at the same time alpacas were visiting which all the residents seemed to enjoy. A favourite of Mum's is the singers that visit regularly. It is lovely to see her happy and interacting with the staff and other residents, as when at home she constantly complained of being lonely. All the staff are friendly, professional and could not be more helpful.
I have been in Edgehill for 3 years and I could not be in a better place. Management and staff are the best I could wish for.
I have nothing but praise for Edgehill Care Home. The dedication and attention to detail is amazing. Would highly recommend Edgehill - thank you.
