View Full Details of Cedars Care HomeMum has been a resident at Cedars Care Home for 18 months. The staff are welcoming and so kind and caring. They have taken the time to understand mum's needs as an individual and it is immensely reassuring for the family to know she is well cared for in this safe, clean and friendly environment. Thank you to all the staff.
Good care given to my husband who needs constant attention. I am updated on any health problems he has. It is a relief to know he is being looked after so well. There are many activities offered for residents, but unfortunately he does not want to socialise or take part in them.
My mum has been a resident at Cedars Care Home for almost three years now and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are really kind and respectful and treat the older people with all the dignity they deserve. Mum was lonely at home and now she has company and activities as much as she wants. The activities are first class with something for everybody. We have sometimes joined in with the zumba classes and it's lovely to see them moving (whilst sitting down) along to the music. Mum particular likes the singers that come in and usually goes out each week on the mini bus to a local park or for a coffee, ice cream or bun depending on the weather. The month of December was full of fun parties, staff pantomimes and carol singing. I would not hesitate to recommend Cedars.
My mother is well cared for by lovely staff. The rooms and facilities are scrupulously clean. My mother enjoys the varied menus, all freshly cooked in situ, by qualified chefs. There are activities for the residents to do everyday, if they want to. The house is extremely safe and well run.
I always find the home very clean and tidy, all the staff are friendly and helpful. The management and senior staff are always approachable. My mother is safe and well cared for which is a comfort to me.
I do not tire of writing positive reviews about this amazing care home. This one is in relation to two first-class uplifting events in August - both barbecues, one with a musical film theme and the other with an American singer/Hawaiian theme. In addition to excellent entertainment, it was great to see Dad enjoying himself out in the fresh air in the fantastic garden. Each occasion brought a smile to his face and he still mentions what a great time he had, long after the events themselves. To see the friendly, caring and so efficient manager and staff having fun, joining in, and enjoying themselves, whilst at the same time breaking off when necessary to ensure that each one of the residents was comfortable and felt included was great to see. I do not have a bad word to say about Cedars or any of its great teams. Dad has been at Cedars for a year now and we are so pleased with every aspect of his care. Thank you, Cedars!
Excellent care and excellent staff!! Best care home and is always spotless. The staff from care specialists through to the amazing front office and activities are the absolute best. My mum has been there as a resident since 2015 and it is without doubt the best choice care home.
My mother went into Cedars Care Home following a stay in hospital initially for respite care and until the family returned from a month-long trip overseas. She has been very well cared for during her stay but sadly her health and mobility have deteriorated and she feels she can no longer cope on her own at home. She will now become a permanent resident. We have found all the staff to be very friendly and caring, the home is clean and welcoming and there are lots of activities. Mum needs encouragement to attend activities and as a 93-year-old lady who still has very good mental abilities, she finds it hard to accept she cannot do things because of age and lack of mobility.
Visited and found the resident to be happy and well cared for, she had nothing but praise for the staff and the way they cared for her. The place was clean tidy and well-managed, I was very impressed.
The care given and the happy faces of the staff make Cedars Care Home a pleasant environment to visit and a great place for people with health problems who need specialist staff to look after them. Thank you.
My Mother has been a resident at Cedars for the past 3years. We as a family feel very fortunate that we chose Cedars in early 2021 as her time there has been faultless. There have been times recently when the staff concerned with Mum's welfare have been proactive in calling for medical help during times of bad health issues and informing me immediately of their actions and concerns. This has been immensely reassuring for me resulting in a very caring and trusting relationship between all the staff and my family. I have recommended Cedars before and will continue to do so.
My friend settled down quite well. At times presents challenging behaviour. Has been arranged via another home and CedarsCare Home. My friend will be treated at Cedars with regard to challenging behaviour as is necessary until further notice if required.
Having never had to look for a care home for a parent, I cannot thank the management and staff enough for making everything easy for me. They made my mum feel so welcome when she arrived, and continue to take great care of her. My mum has dementia/Alzheimers, so can be challenging at times, but this doesn’t phase the staff who are trained to deal with this. Mum says it’s like staying at a 5-star hotel. She’s always raving about the food she eats and the activities on offer. When I visit the staff always tell me how lovely Mum is and how she is doing, and always offer me a cup of tea or coffee when they come round with the tea trolley. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful with anything I ask. I would certainly recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for a caring environment for their family or friends.
I find that the care given in this home is extremely good and the entertainment persons are brilliant and always wanting to make everyone happy. Reception staff are very helpful and welcoming. There is only one downside here and that is the food.
Cedars is a fantastic care home. My dad has been here for a year now and he is so happy. The reception staff are fantastic, care staff are fantastic. Everyone whom I have met there seems to be extremely happy in their work. Food is also great and my dad is pleased that all the old-school puddings are available! I would highly recommend Cedars to anyone who is looking for a premium facility for their loved ones.
Staff friendly to both residents and their families. Always clean rooms and have private facilities. My father has been treated with dignity at all times. It is comforting to know he is in a safe environment and we are welcome to visit any time with the children and even the dogs.
Staff and management fully committed to the wellbeing of residents. Lovely atmosphere. We feel very fortunate as a family that we are using this care home and are confident that the very best is being done to maintain the care and dignity of all the residents.
My stepdad came to live at Cedars Care Home in 2022 after becoming too frail to live alone. From day one, the home has been brilliant. I am impressed that his skin/health are assessed routinely, bloods are taken by GP or community nurse as required to check for any possible health issues, i.e. anaemia, I always receive a phone call updating me from Cedars. The food is excellent and choices. The building inside/out is clean and today, so is Stepdad's room. There are no odours within the building. The manager is a very effective leader and the staff work to the best of their ability. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they are an asset to the home.
We find, as a family, that Cedars Care Home go above and beyond. Mum feels very at home and loves the staff. My only thing would be clothes going missing continuously but I do understand how hard it must be.
My mother was a resident at Cedars Care Home for two years, during which time she grew to be part of a large family - myself also! I shall miss my visits to the home as I was always made to feel so welcome and encouraged to join in with events. The manager is very friendly and approachable, dealing efficiently with any matters arising and always joining in with events like 'one of the crew'. The reception staff are always happy to help and have a cheerful outlook which makes visitors feel welcome. The care staff are all lovely and very caring and considerate. If my mother was ill or had any problems I would always be contacted and informed about decisions. When my mother died in December last year, the manager plus two members of staff took the time to attend her funeral and brought with them a memory box which contained her last letter to my family and photos of her time at the home. My family were overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of this gesture - it is a memory we can cherish.
