View Full Details of Wood Hill Grange Care HomeAll in all I have been very satisfied with the care from your staff to my sister. The reception staff have been excellent over the 4 years I have been visiting.
I am sister to one of your residents. She has been with you nearly 1 year. She seems to have settled, and the staff are really kind to her when she gets distressed. The atmosphere from entering home is happy, friendly and welcoming. They have got a new D.I.Y person and I have noticed this has made a real difference to the building. Management good.
My son was given a place at Wood Hill Grange at the beginning of November 2024. Although a younger resident (44) he was taken on a temporary placement. All staff, including reception and ancillary (laundry etc.), have been empathetic, caring, polite and extremely professional. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile and a listening ear. The staff have made a horrendous journey seem much more manageable. Thank you.
General overall experience was good. Care too was good but lacked any kind of stimulation. Staff have always been caring and done as much as they could. Food was excellent, with plenty of variety.
Nothing has ever been too much trouble. All the staff are so friendly and really love my mum. I really cannot thank everyone enough for all the support they have given us.
All staff were very welcoming, professional and efficient. The external and internal of the building were very clean and tidy. There was no unpleasant smell. My husband's room was ready for him on arrival and he was offered a drink as soon as he got into his room. He said he enjoyed all the food and he has plenty to eat. I was asked about his care and everything I said was noted. I was generally impressed with Wood Hill Grange and the care there. Thank you.
I am very grateful for the care being given to my dear wife.
We have every confidence that the staff at Wood Hill Grange care about our dad and treat him with dignity and respect.
Mum has been a resident at Wood Hill for two years. Our overall experience has been good. Mum has been well cared for by staff on Loxley. The care staff and qualified staff are genuine and kind, although there is a language barrier with a few of the care staff. Out areas of concern are lack of stimulation for Mum and organised activities that occur infrequently. Another problem is the payment of Mum's care home fees to Portland, which results in Mum being in areas. We (there are four daughters) do however feel well-supported as a family.
Dad has been in the nursing home for the last 6 months due to severe falling at home with spells in the hospital. He hasn't had a fall since arriving at Wood Hill Grange Care Home. I video call him every day which the staff help with and he is shaven, dressed and clean. I feel all the staff are approachable and helpful and Dad settled straight away. The member of staff in reception helps and advises on every task. Thank you Wood Hill Grange staff.
I am happy that both my family members are cared for and as comfortable as they can be due to their health and conditions.
My mother came to live at Wood Hill Grange in October 2021, initially for respite for a month. During that time it became apparent that she would be happier and better staying here for end-of-life care, which she did until her death in December. I live abroad and tried to get there as often as possible and I am grateful for the home in accommodating those special circumstances. Wood Hill Grange is a purpose-built care home, so the rooms are very spacious. The food is good and the staff do their best to encourage residents to join in activities. The staff treated my mother with the greatest respect at all times, the care was obviously driven by compassion and dignity. I will be forever grateful to the staff for all they did.
Excellent nursing home, well maintained and very clean. All staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are lovely, it's like a home from home. My relative is very happy here. I would recommend this home to anyone.
My dad was sent to Wood Hill Grange Care Home last year. From the very beginning, every one of the staff from kitchen assistants to managers were some of the kindest most compassionate people I have met, nothing was too much for these angels as my mum called them. Care staff on Dad's floor went above and beyond and we would now class them as dear friends. Once again, I can't express our thanks enough for all their care and comfort they gave my dad and us.
I had to visit a gentleman who was on the end of life care. The whole experience was handled with sensitivity and courtesy but with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. While the experience of seeing someone pass away, it was made bearable by everyone at the care facility.
My Father's care has been excellent since he was moved into Wood Hill Grange. Visiting arrangements are handled with kind compassion with the resident's best interests foremost.
Firstly I would like to praise the staff on their quick response to the Coronavirus. As a retired nurse, I would like to say how impressed I was with the standard of care delivered and observed. High knowledge of a well-trained team. They were very supportive of my relative, with her care and her needs. One very important factor - communication skills. High standard in this area was shown both to family and my relative. Always keeping us informed.
The home is well run and everything is spotlessly clean and the residents are very well looked after.
No complaints. Extremely thankful to have the staff looking after our mother. Everyone working here is polite, clean and helpful all the time. It has been a pleasure to see and meet such wonderful staff members.
Excellent friendly staff looked after both my Mother and Father. While visiting everyone is so professional and friendly.
