View Full Details of Hatfield HouseI cannot praise the staff at Hatfield House enough for the care they have given to my dad over the last 4 years. He is treated like a member of the family, is well looked after and really loves living at Hatfield House. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. My dad has a brilliant sense of humour and the staff love to have a laugh and a joke with him which he really appreciates. Hatfield House is extremely well run and I am grateful every day to have found such a wonderful place for my dad to live. My mum was also at Hatfield House prior to passing away and I will never forget the care and love shown to my mum and the rest of our family in her final days by everyone at Hatfield House. I would not hesitate to recommend Hatfield House to anyone. Thank you Hatfield House - you are amazing!!
Having visited a number of care homes, Hatfield House stood out as the best option for my uncle, and they haven't disappointed. The transition for my uncle wasn't easy at first but the home was able to adjust to my uncle's needs. The staffing and management have always been friendly, approachable and have always consulted with the family if there has been any issues. The home and my uncle's room is presentable and tidy, the housekeeping staff are forever doing his laundry and my uncle has been treated with care and respect, even when times have been difficult for him.
Watching our loved one live with dementia isn't easy, however, the staff at Hatfield House ensure our uncle is treated with dignity and respect. We as his family are always welcomed and included in all aspects of his care.
I have visited Mum frequently in December and can only congratulate the staff on all the effort they have made with Christmas extra activities. The care is always excellent and I never have any worries as I leave Mum. If anyone is reading this to consider Hatfield House for themselves or a relative, I would highly recommend. It is a big transition moving to residential care but staff try really hard to accommodate residents individual needs and keep everyone safe and content. Mum would give the food 5 stars! A big thank you to everyone.
My mum has been living at Hatfield House for 4 and a half years and I had have no issues at all in that time. The home is welcoming and extremely clean. I have nothing but praise for the way the home is run, the reception staff and the care staff. No one is complacent. I am kept regularly informed about my mum on visits and a resident of the day phone call each month. The carers have become like family to my Mum and even though her dementia is advanced she responds well to those familiar faces and I know she is happy. It's so reassuring to know that she is so well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. I don't need to worry when I leave as I have complete confidence that she is in the best possible hands.
Hatfield House has been a saviour to me. Leaving your precious loved ones being looked after by what are strangers to begin with has been made very easy. And they are no longer strangers - I now consider them extended family. Apart from the care being fantastic and the care home making my mum feel loved, supported, listened to and cared for, the main element of it are the staff. All completely willing to go over and beyond, not just for my mum, but for me when I have had various wobbles with her being away from me. I cannot recommend the home enough. Christmas has been made really special again by the staffs care and attention.
A double-edged review as firstly my mother-in-law is a resident in Hatfield House and her care has been tremendous. The staff are fantastic and she is really settled. The other part is that my wife is completely settled with her mum being a resident. She no longer has anxiety about her mum's care, no longer has to worry about whether her mum has eaten or taken her meds and most importantly feels that she can comfortably leave her to be OK once she has visited.
The manager and her excellent team are doing a fantastic job caring for my mother who has Alzheimer's. I would not ever consider an alternative care facility whilst the current team of people are in situ. It would be hard to find a better group of care staff anywhere. Well done to the manger and her staff and thank you.
If you are looking for hotel standards, then Hatfield is the ideal place, if you are looking for lovely staff then it's also the ideal place. However if your special person doesn't conform to the "certain way" they should conform to, then it's definitely not the ideal place. The way my Uncle was treated by the management (2 certain ladies) was appalling. After 6 days of him being there, they were ringing me nearly daily to tell me they "wanted him out". Asking us to go in and support him, we work and did visit regularly!. No care plan put in place, making him get up for breakfast, when clearly he didn't want any. This is all because he had a voice, and disrupted their perfect environment. Even when they knew he had nowhere to go, they insisted that he leave and it was only when he fell whilst in there care did they let him stay 4 more days. I and his social worker did everything they asked of us. Disgusting behavior from management. This is not a hotel but a care home.
This care home is first-class. Staff are very friendly and look after the patients with a lot of love and kindness.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Residents receive excellent care. The home is always clean and well-maintained.
My mum has the best of care at Hatfield House, although she does need help with personal things, they still encourage her to be as independent as she possibly can. Her room is just delightful as are the lounges and dining room. I have even told my children if I ever need a care home, I will happily go to Hatfield House. I cannot speak highly enough of Hatfield House, the staff are brilliant and so caring.
July has been a tricky month for us as Mum broke her arm in June. I have not worried once about Mum though. All the staff have been amazing. Extra measures have been put in place without us having to ask. I can see clearly that the staff continually care about her. Hopefully Mum will be back to herself soon so she can join in the activities. She loves painting and baking so she will be pulling up a chair as soon as she can thank you very much.
We have been very pleased with the care my father has received. The staff have been attentive and supported him at all times. They have developed a good rapport with my father and helped him settle in. He loves the food and eats well. His room is kept spotless at all times.
My mother has been a resident at Hatfield House for nearly two years now and up to recently when her care needs increased she was living on the more residential floor. Mother has now moved onto a different floor where there are more care staff on hand to cope with the increase in needs of the residents. The home is a very pleasant environment which we have found to be clean, secure and provide well for Mum's needs. All the staff are very pleasant and professional and always prepared to help with the simplest of requests. There are always things occurring with themed activities and decorations the most recent being VE Day when staff were dressed as land army girls or in 1940s style clothing. A pleasant place to be and we as a family have no regrets in our choice.
My mum has been a resident at Hatfield House for a couple of years now, and the standard of care and service is excellent. Recently my mum was taken to hospital seriously ill, luckily she recovered and was able to return to the home. When she was discharged from the hospital, they forgot to send her medication one of the staff off-duty went to collect it for her. The staff have been exceptional on her return and are contributing to her recovery. A big thank you to everyone!
I feel confident that my mum is taken care of whilst she is a resident here. Everyone is always friendly and are always happy to discuss my mum's daily wellbeing. They often have family and friends events that are always appreciated and supported. Thank you for the attention and care for detail and putting the residents' needs first.
As a family, we would just like to thank you all for everything you have done for mum for the last few years. It is not just been the care but the love and friendship you have shown taking the time to get to know her, the little things like how she liked her tea or what treats make her happy. Thank you also for the support you have given me, especially this week in mum's final hours. Someone said it had been a privilege to care for her and we feel privileged that she had such special people looking after her.
Hatfield House provided a very high standard of care to my late wife for four years. I was very pleased with all the staff and was impressed with how the care home was managed and the love and care they showed to my wife. I cannot thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone who would consider placing their loved one in their care.
My dad came into Hatfield House for assisted living. He now needs full-time care. I live elsewhere and only see Dad every four weeks. I go home with no worries about his care and because of the distance, the staff call me regularly to put my mind at rest. On my visit to the home, the staff are always caring and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. The food is first class and his room is always very clean and tidy. Thank you to all.
