The home is fantastic always very clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. My Grandfather is very happy here and has improved since moving here.
Mum is pretty much bedridden now but seems to be as happy as she can be bearing in mind her dementia. The staff are attentive and do a good job, my experience as always been respectful in every way.
I think since my wife has been in Askham Hall she has received excellent care and the staff are always willing to help.
My wife has never been to Askham Hall before but from the first time, she was there she was treated excellently in every respect. She was made very comfortable and has made many new friends. It is very flexible and we might ask for her to come again in the future when I go away again.
Overall my stepdad is well looked after. He seems to be happy and content overall. The food seems very good and no complaints there. He has put on weight at Askhall but he tends to not want to join in activities, this would help. Overall is very good.
Dad moved into Askham Hall in Feb 2024 and was very happy for the short time he was there. The staff are very friendly and looked after Dad very well, right to the end.
My dad's experience seems to be very good in the short time he has been in the care home. All the staff are very professional and helpful.
The staff are polite, helpful and professional. The home is clean and tidy, staff are friendly and helpful. A good range of activities and Nana encouraged to take part. Lots of choice of food and cook with prepare if other foods are requested. The laundry staff are friendly and helpful - clothes washed and returned quickly and very smart. Office staff are very helpful, always answer my many questions or find someone who can. Cafe - my Nan enjoys a cup of tea with family, a lovely area to chat, and staff are very friendly and work very hard.
My husband has been a resident here for 10 and a half years and I have had no complaints about his care and staff are always cheerful and engaged with my husband.
We were recommended by friends and the recommendations have turned out to be good. It's always a difficult decision to admit a loved one to a care home, but we do not regret taking it. We visit regularly and Mum is always clean and well-presented. The staff are cheerful and always take the time to update us on progress.
Unfortunately, we have now lost our beloved mother who spent her last seven years of her life in Askham Hall's care. We were so impressed with Askham, we chose to hold her Wake there so staff could say their final goodbyes.
Askham Hall is everything you want and need a nursing home to be. The level of commitment, care, kindness and love and skill of the staff truly make this a home-from-home. I know my husband is safe and extremely well cared for at all times. The teams here - carers, cleaners, nurses, catering and entertainment and back office staff are all highly skilled trained and committed to ensuring the best possible care and support is provided to my husband and me. Thank you.
They are the most helpful, kind, caring, and informative people I have had the pleasure to meet. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They seem not to be able to assist enough in everything we ask.
Came here the other day to visit a friend. The home is very clean and the rooms are big, very bright. Staff are so polite, it makes me rest to know my friend is being well looked after.
