View Full Details of Rushyfields Residential and Nursing HomeRushyfields has been a wonderful home for my auntie. Starting from my auntie's difficult start with aphasia, the people and environment have made a comfortable existence for her. There are carers there who have made a massive difference to let her live a life; their love have made her difficulties so much the better.
A very well run and efficient care home. Staff and management are very efficient at what they do.
Not a 'fancy' home, nut provides good, friendly care, staff appears to get on with each other. If require assistance staff is willing to help. The staff appears to know the residents. Unfortunately, items can appear to go missing but staff does their best to try and find them. The establishment is clean and tidy, warm for residents. Overall a nice home providing a good standard of care.
We cannot thank the staff of Rushyfields enough for the outstanding care of our auntie/great-auntie over the past couple of years. Without exception, our auntie is treated as an individual with the utmost love, care, and respect. When my auntie finds some days challenging, they are sensitive to her needs and show patience and kindness. Thanks to the Activities Co-ordinator many fun activities are organised and residents are gently encouraged to join in. There are many staff who have a special relationship with our auntie which has undoubtedly made a great difference to her quality of life. These include 5 in particular floor managers. The manager and deputy manager know our auntie personally and have always ensured the very best care. We could not have wished for better care of our dear auntie/great auntie and will remain forever grateful to all at Rushyfields.
I am pleased with the care my sister receives at Rushyfields. The staff are all kind, sensitive, and courteous, and answer any questions or concerns promptly. They are also very quick to let the family know if any issues arise.
Since Mum has been in Rushyfields I feel she is safe and secure and the care for her stage of Dementia is good. The only issue I have is my mum's bedroom sometimes this is not the cleanest but some of this could be issues with my mum. The staff are all approachable and we always feel welcome. I have not rated activities as my mum does not participate only occasionally.
I trust the amazing staff with the care of my wonderful mum. What else is there to say? Mum having to go into a care home was the toughest decision ever, and finding Rushyfields was the peace of mind I needed, well done to all the team who work there.
My Father has been in this home for nearly a year now and he is very happy here. The staff I couldn't praise then enough. They are all helpful no matter what you ask them, they are all willing to answer your questions or help in general.
The staff are all lovely and we are very happy with the care, etc that my Mum receives.
Overall the care is good, sometimes my sister has issues with some of the staff and also some of her fellow residents. It's very difficult for all concerned as my sister had a stroke and has difficulty speaking and making her feelings known. Her vascular dementia doesn't help. The cleanliness of her bedding could be improved. I sometimes have to ask to have it changed and her wheelchair.
When my wife went to Rushyfields her health was deteriorating, my wife was finding it difficult to eat and drink resulting in a drastic loss of weight because of my wife's rapid decline it was discussed and decided that an end-of-life care plan be put in place. Now four months on, my wife is now eating, drinking and putting on weight which is all down to the hard work and dedication of management and all the staff at Rushyfields. Thank you all.
My mam has been here for 8 months and is incredibly happy. There's always activities for her to do and things to take part in. Knowing that she is so well looked after gives me peace of mind. The staff are so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble.
My husband arrived at Rushyfields Residential and Nursing Home a few months ago and has been shown kindness with sensitivity. He was allowed to settle in and feel 'safe' before having a bath which allowed him to get to know staff and the routine. This, I felt, was thoughtful and kept his dignity. I have been listened to and helped with adjusting to my new role and shown respect. I feel quite like being part of a big family when I visit and not shut out. My husband had been in two other homes previously for respite care and these attributes were missing and this is for seven days a week, not just Monday to Friday.
My overall experience of the "home" is very good. The staff are caring and supportive.
Good and caring company. Everything is clean and tidy. Residents seem happy and looked after.
A really nice atmosphere when we come. The residents are well cared for by all the staff. Very good level of care, and it is nice to see different activities for the residents and to keep them entertained! The facilities are good and always very clean too!
The staff have always been professional and welcoming. My mother-in-law has many needs and dementia but is always cared for with kindness and respect.
Always impressed by cheerful and helpful staff.
Find the home very pleasant, staff very helpful. Staff are always helpful, could really do with another pair of hands at times to help out.
My partner was admitted to Rushyfields Residential and Nursing Home as she was on end of life and was only there short time, in that time staff went above and beyond. They ensured she was always comfortable, pain free and someone was always with her. Spent quality time with her and supported me and my family. The staff and management were fantastic. They called me when there was changes and I stayed overnight. Thank you everyone.
