View Full Details of Mill ViewWe were recommended to Mill View by Elizabeth's home carer. We dropped in unannounced and we were met and welcomed straight away. Reception controlled the entrance doors and first impressions were of a bright, cheerful and clean reception area. and lovely cafetoria. A management team member met us, listened to our needs and immediately gave a full rundown of the care home followed by an inspection of the facilities and bedrooms. We felt very much at ease and were impressed by the demeanour of all the staff. Everyone greeted us with smiles and there was a genuine relaxed and happy feel. The bedroom was a good size, clean and well decorated with a good sized en-suite attached with a good countryside view. The dining room was in full swing and there was a selection of delicious looking meals. The lounge and dining rooms had large windows with lovely views of the country setting. There was always some sort of entertainment or event going on. All the patients looked clean and settled. We knew straight away that Elizabeth would be well cared for and would feel at home and I had no hesitation in choosing Mill View for my sister's care.
Had a lovely visit to see my very dear friend! Great to have the Cafe Shop for a coffee with my friend - all staff made me feel very welcome! Lovely Lady playing the harp which was is nice to hear and made everything feel very relaxed! The 'Happy Hairdresser' was chatting kindly to the residents and she individually did their hair! Can't think of a nicer place to be if you have to be in Care Home. Nice lot of activities for residents too.
It is a relief to know my relative is safe + well looked after 5 years of struggling to support him. The team go the extra mile + have even helped him set up a fish tank + care for the fish.
Mill View has provided excellent care to my mother since she arrived last April. The care and support she has received has been second to none and it has given me, my father and the rest of our family, peace of mind in the knowledge that my mother is comfortable, safe and happy. The staff, at all levels, are fun loving whilst displaying a very high degree of professionalism and a full understanding of what excellent caring and safeguarding really look like. During my frequent visits to my mother, I regularly see staff show empathy to the residents, recognising their different needs and often going the extra mile to make a difference to the residents' experience in Mill View. I can't recommend Mill View enough!
My mother spent her last 18 months at Mill View. I can honestly say that my family and I were blown away by the level of care, professionalism, expertise and compassion that all the staff displayed, pretty much all of the time. When we know there is a 'crisis' affecting the industry, it is a pleasure to be able to write a positive review. I'm not quite sure how the leadership at Mill View constantly maintain an inclusive culture, but they do. Thank you to everyone for the care you provided and environment you created for Mum.
I highly recommend Mill View. I stayed for 2 weeks respite care. The staff are caring and the attention given is excellent. There is a wide choice of tasty meals. The coffee shop and lounge area at the entrance makes a pleasant welcome for visitors and residents.
It is a huge relief to know that my wife is in safe hands. As previously main carer for her I was responsible for her many falls and Mill View has restored my well-being as well as my wife's. Mill View staff have gone far beyond their duties and shown extreme kindness, patience and tenderness.
Dad has only been at Mill View for 4 weeks but he has settled in really well. It's a lovely place, spotlessly clean, nice room with a garden area. Very friendly staff who obviously offer a high level of care to the residents.
My grandad really likes it here. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. I feel happy leaving him with the care here. All of the facilities are very good and everywhere is very clean.
Very impressed with our initial experience of Mill View. The staff are so friendly, willing to help and willing to listen to any concerns. The home itself is airy and bright, unlike other care home we visited. Mum's room is well appointed with a little patio area she will be able to sit outside in warmer weather. All of the visitors Mum has had have contacted me to say how lovely Mill View is and how much more relaxed she seems to be. We have already been very confident in recommending Mill View to a friend who has been searching for a good care home for their elderly parent.
My father came/chose Mill View as his home for the last five years. He lived downstairs for the first couple of years but sadly, started to develop dementia after having a minor stroke and had to move upstairs for more personal care. My dad absolutely loved it at Mill View and always told me how wonderful the place was and how happy he was. He sadly passed away two weeks ago at the age of 92 but the staff were amazing, as always, to the very end.
Unfortunately, my mother passed away in December 2023 at Mill View Care Home. I cannot thank the staff enough. They were all so supportive and showed the utmost respect. Whilst my mother was alive she enjoyed all the wonderful facilities on offer. She was cared for with such kindness and professionalism. As a family, we were very impressed, so grateful to have found such a well-run care home.
Having reviewed five homes in the area, we opted for Mill View and have not been disappointed. The level of care is excellent and the staff strive to make the residents feel relaxed and welcome. There is a full schedule of activities for all residents should they wish to partake and encourage them to do so. The menu is varied and prepared to an excellent standard. In short, I feel we chose well and dad has settled in well. We made the right choice!
We cannot recommend Mill View more highly. The care and attention given to our mum during her just over five years stay was excellent. We had the peace of mind that she was being well looked after and we were kept well informed of any changes to her routine or health. The staff are all very friendly and attentive.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Mill View Care Home. Following the unexpected death of the main caregiver, I needed to find a care home for my mother, who has multiple health issues including Alzheimer's. Mill View's staff were wonderful during this difficult moment for my family, taking the time to explain the steps to follow and making sure the home was the right fit. My mother was able to get settled very quickly. The room and bathroom facilities are excellent, the staff are extremely helpful and caring, the mealtimes are well-organised and my mother particularly enjoys the cakes. An excellent care home that I am happy to place my mother in and visit.
Our father, who had dementia was well looked after during his stay. Staff were very patient and kind, especially in his last week of life. Thank you.
This care home is very comfortable for its residents, and the carers are excellent.
I have been a resident for several months and have found the staff consistent in their excellent range of care. I am particularly impressed by the interest they take in my hobbies, all of which adds to the comforting sense of community that exists here. I have absolutely no regrets about selling up to come here, having shed the sometimes onerous tasks of house ownership.
This residential care home is well managed, staffed by enthusiastic and well-trained staff, clean, safe and responsive and supplies excellent residential care within a modern building some fifteen minutes walk from the centre of East Grinstead. Rooms are somewhat larger than average for the area and incorporate an en suite wet room. The activities for residents are well-organised and varied. The lounges, gardens, cinema, dining room, coffee shop, cleaning, individual care, hairdressing, podiatry, opticians and dentistry services are all excellent. Probably the key to the quality of care is the philosophy that the staff come in to work in the resident’s own home, and this translates into really imaginative and consistently high-quality care. Recommended.
All the team have shown amazing care, patience and understanding during an initial challenging settling-in period with my mother. She is now happy, safe, very well fed and more active than she was ever able to be at home. A huge relief for all the family.
