View Full Details of Langford ViewOverall very happy in Langford View. Main issue is with the meals which are sometimes poor. Sometimes flavour is bland, presentation is poor and only warm/cool when served. This isn't every meal but 30% of the time.
I visited Langford View to see my friend and it fell on the same day as their Christmas Fayre. It was such a lovely afternoon, a great festive atmosphere. It really did make our visit special with my friend. We sat and enjoyed a coffee with mince pies in the beautifully decorated lounge room and also had a look at the lovely stalls in the reception area. The staff were amazing, helpful and attentive. They all worked so hard to deliver a wonderful day. Thank you for the warm welcome.
My sister, 84, moved into Langford View in July. From day 1, staff were so welcoming and my sister settled so quickly. My sister hasn't complained to me as she used to, sometimes ringing me 5-10 times a day. Suffering from Alzheimer's she didn't understand, being my older sister my wife and I have cared and looked after for the last 6-8 years. All I can say is thank you so much to all the staff. It means so much that she has made friends and is safe and happy.
The care home is very well-managed with strong leadership, and an excellent team who are friendly, helpful and positive. My mum is very happy and comfortable, and the staff do all they can to make her feel included and part of the community. The food is excellent and always served on hot plates. Recently when my mum had a series of falls, the team supported her superbly during a stressful and challenging time. When she returned from hospital, the welcome was warm and reassuring with every detail thoughtfully considered. "It's so good to be back with my chums," she said, as she was welcomed back to her room.
My parents are here, my mum has dementia and can be challenging. The staff have all been patient and compassionate with her. I notice that the staff know all the names of all the residents. I have witnessed staff dealing well with situations that I would personally find challenging.
A particular member of staff is very good in the room and excellent in care work. She would do anything for me.
Very good.
I am happy and dinner is good.
Thank you for everything that you did for Mum. The care and kindness you showed to her was exemplary.
I would not recommend Langford View Care Home. They failed to look after and care for my mother. Questioned management and staff about my unwell mother but didn't result in a responsible welfare outcome. Was hospitalised and unfortunately never came out of hospital.
A very well-maintained home. The care workers and nurses were kind, caring, attentive and compassionate. I thank them. Security and cleanliness were good and it felt like a safe environment. The night my partner died seemed to be filled with confusion from the staff on duty. I found this difficult.
On looking for a home for Dad, I was particularly impressed with our initial meeting at the home and how time was taken to answer my many questions. Since being at the home, Dad has been treated with dignity and respect by a very warm and friendly staff group. Thank you for looking after Dad now I'm no longer able to do so.
I have been unwell recently and the staff took good care of me!
Mum, after 11 falls and stays in the hospital, was admitted to Langford View on February 20th 2020, at the age of 94. I would definitely recommend Langford Vire to friends and family. Mum has received excellent care during her time here.
Room was clean, food was good. Staff were brilliant.
The ambience is happy, friendly and understanding from start to finish. All staff work hard to maintain their characteristic. Langford View has my mother in good, safe hands. Entertainment is extensive to stimulate clients.
Mum moved to Langford View after nearly a month in hospital as she now needs nursing care. The staff are warm and friendly. Everyone has gone the extra mile to help her settle in. She's treated with dignity and respect and even managed to have the first bath she'd had in years. She enjoys going to activities and spending time in the garden. Would recommend as they do their best to create a home from home.
I have been visiting a friend for over a year now. I am very impressed by the care and help given to her, the friendliness of all staff in general and the cleanliness of rooms, lounges and food area. I have told my son that if I need a care home, I want to go there instead of a Salvation Army care home, as he could visit me. Medical care seems to be excellent. Staff are so pleasant and helpful to residents. Plenty of activities. I am eighty-two years young.
The home looked after my Nan with compassion and great care. She enjoyed the year she spent living here and we as a family are grateful of the care she received.
Thank you for all you did for my brother. All staff very friendly here. Would recommend this home every time.
