View Full Details of Coppice LodgeThe care staff are really good, for the most part, however my personal experience is not good. They turned my husband, a 83 year old dementia patient, out of the home at really, really short notice at 3.00pm without giving me time to find support for him. Not impressed. Would not recommend this care home.
Good facilities and staff, very friendly. I enjoy visiting my relative.
Good, very helpful and attentive staff. Occasionally information is not shared or recorded, which wastes time. But overall, excellent care, kindness and professionalism.
We came on our relative's birthday and used the tearoom which was all set up for a party, cake was provided and helpful staff. We are generally very happy with the care at Coppice Lodge.
I am coming to terms with my wife being away from me after 68 years, I now look on Coppice Lodge as my second home. We lived in the same house 52 years. I find the staff very helpful and my wife's bedroom is always kept clean. I go every day to see my wife.
Food has been an issue with my dad. He was unhappy with a number of issues. My dad, myself, the manager and head cook had a great meeting to resolve the problems and hopefully we can move forward. His smell and taste is very poor, age thing, so that does not help. There is a good range of activities, he missed quite a few but this is about forgetfulness and motivation. A nudge might help. Regarding value for money, we all know care is expensive. Overall very pleased, staff are all very good. Thank you.
Coppice Lodge has a lovely feel to it and the staff are friendly and approachable. The staff are always on hand to make my mother's stay at the home as comfortable as possible. Lovely layout for a care home, but I've noticed what lets it down is the TV/Lounge which looks very dated and needs some work doing as most of the residents seem to sit in there a lot including my mother. Also there seems a lot of light bulbs are not working walking to my mothers room making areas dark for my mother to safely walk to her room. But overall apart from a few basic maintenance issues the home is lovely.
We cannot speak highly enough of Coppice Lodge. From our first enquiry whilst my mother in law was in hospital, the staff have been welcoming, professional, helpful and extremely efficient, nothing was too much trouble. My mother in law was fortunate to move in within 10 days of our initial enquiry and the care she is receiving is absolutely outstanding. All staff are, without exception, wonderful, friendly, attentive, highly skills, endlessly patient and kind. We are kept fully informed about mother in law's condition. The surroundings are fabulous and we are extremely grateful. Coppice Lodge have made a potentially very difficult situation with mother in law's deteriorating health so much easier. Thank you.
We are delighted with the wonderful staff at Coppice Lodge. My mum has only been in here for 3 days, but the level of care and attention to detail have been unbelievable. Everyone is 100% focused on delivering a fantastic service that goes far beyond what we have come to expect. Hopefully, mum will feel the benefits that everyone is offering her as she settles in and gets used to the new smiley faces. Everyone has shown great professionalism and Coppice Lodge stacks head and shoulders above all the other care homes mum has been in as well as those we visited before we selected Coppice Lodge for mum.
My dad moved into Coppice Lodge shortly after losing my mum. Dad was extremely emotional when he arrived, the staff were very supportive and patient, and they took their time to get to know Dad and his life story. He settled in really well participating in many of the activities, he was looked after and treated with respect, and soon made to feel like part of a big family. Whenever I visited I was always made to feel very welcome. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the food is good. The staff are all very friendly, I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.
Wonderful care home. My neighbour who is very shy has settled really well. He looks well. Every carer/staff member I've met have been friendly and professional. I have recommended this care home.
My Mother has been a resident of Coppice Lodge for 4 years now as she described it as a lovely warm hug of a place. She is happy, and content and is well cared for by a team of wonderful people. From the cleaners through to the carers, medical experts and she wants for nothing. Every time we visit the home is warm, and welcoming and everyone is kind to a fault. I can't recommend the home enough. My Mim is very, very happy there. The food is magnificent.
A pleasant with very friendly staff. Always clean and tidy. The staff are always ready to help. Does not feel like an institution but like a home.
I am a close friend of a resident in Coppice Lodge and had cared for him at home for the past 6 years until his increasing physical deterioration made that impossible. We chose Coppice because his late wife had been here. We liked it then and are even more impressed now. The food is excellent, the staff willing and friendly and there is a varied program of activities for those wishing to join in. My concerns about my friend's health and increasing frailty have been taken seriously and acted upon. Everywhere is clean and hygienic with no 'care home smells'. Currently, my friend is in a dementia wing - I have witnessed the staff dealing kindly and empathically with very challenging behaviors.
Coppice Lodge is a warm, friendly place. My friend is very well looked after, and she enjoys it there. She has plenty of people to talk to, and the carers make a fuss of her. I would recommend it to other people without a doubt. Plenty going on activity-wise to keep them occupied.
My mother is very well cared for, and whilst not the cheapest care home in the area, I feel it's worth every penny. The staff are endlessly patient, respectful and caring, and it is to be hoped that little will change given the recent change in ownership. Thank you for all you do.
Quite happy with the care and facilities provided.
I'd like to pay tribute to all the people who work at Coppice Lodge but whom I never see - the cooks, the cleaners, the gardeners and particularly the laundry staff. I was particularly struck today by how smart and impeccably dressed my 98-year-old auntie was in a cream jumper, perfectly laundered. I looked at all the other residents and realised that they all looked so well-groomed and cared for. The linen on the dinner tables was perfect, and the napkins were folded and ironed. The meal today was great too.
The home is simply the best I have seen. It's clean, tidy, well organised and most of all the staff that I have met at the home are very much a one of a kind. They are so good with my uncle that we as a family agree that we are very lucky to have found Coppice Lodge. I would definitely tick the box of recruitment at this home. The staff definitely seem hand-picked so credit to those responsible. For those that have to go into a home, the lucky ones will come to Coppice Lodge. Highly recommended.
At times, there seems to be a shortage of staff to support the residents.
