View Full Details of Parker MeadowsTook very good care of my nan in her final days. Lovely staff and good quality of care in the times when I visited. Very accessible for residents too and people like the activities there when I saw them happening. You can tell the staff really care greatly and work hard for the residents.
I would like to thank all of the staff at Parker Meadows for taking such good care of my husband, who was suffering from Parkinson's disease with Lewy Body dementia and Alzheimer's. I never wanted him to be in a nursing home but I could not have found anywhere better. He was very happy there and well looked after with patience and respect. At the same time, the staff were wonderful at supporting me. I can not thank them enough and I am very grateful for how much they helped us both at this very difficult time.
I am exceptionally pleased with the care my mother is having from the care home and the staff who have been extremely patient and very kind with her during her settling-in period. The home is very well-kept and clean in all areas and the coffee lounge in reception is very pleasant for residents and their guests. The security on the entrance gates and the doors within the buildings is controlled very well, and I am confident of my mother's safety. The food seems to be of a high standard and certainly adapts to her requirements. I am also impressed with the activities that are carried out each day and the work that the team put into this to make it a happy experience.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They were particularly helpful with the room move from nursing care to residential care. The facilities are very clean and modern. We are always welcomed with a smile whenever we visit and the place feels very safe.
My mother has been cared for in Parker Meadows for 3 months, initially for respite, and she has now decided to stay permanently. All aspects of her care and support have been exemplary throughout. All the staff have been outstanding, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all, highly recommended.
Grandparents used Parker Meadow and I was so happy that I recommended for my other Grandma who has recently moved in. Lovely environment, kind staff, great facilities, clean and tidy, lots to do, nice for visitors.
I am pleased with my Husbands care. He has settled well and is treated with respect and kindness by all staff.
My experience at Parker Meadows has been superb. I have been here since Friday the 5th of July and am quite happy to stay here.
My mother is being cared for in an excellent manner with great support from all the staff, carers, management, housekeeping, maintenance workers, and activities support. I have the confidence to leave her knowing that she is safe and secure and that I will be contacted as soon as necessary if a problem arises. The whole atmosphere around the home is friendly, welcoming and empathetic and there is also a great deal of fun to be had as a resident and relative. I could not recommend this home more for its service and commitment to the care sector in this area.
My dad came to Parker Meadows in a woefully neglected state. Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff here. They work tirelessly to optimise my father's medications and his various physical ailments are now much better. Dad is confused all the time but is greeted with smiles and an offer of a cup of tea whenever he is distressed. As his eldest daughter, it means the world to me that my dad is well looked after and it has given the whole family such peace of mind!
My mum was only a resident on floor 2 at Parker Meadow for about 6 weeks before she passed away but the care and love that she received whilst on floor 2 was amazing and made such a difference to her last few weeks. All the staff on that floor are truly amazing people and genuinely care about the residents and their families. We are so grateful to them for looking after Mum so well, from the cleaning team, care staff and nurses. We cannot thank all the caring staff and nurses enough for everything they did for Mum and us as a family. From the moment we met the admissions manager, everything was well planned and made the transition from hospital to home very easy and not stressful. We are truly grateful for all the care and love Mum received whilst at Parker Meadows.
My husband and I visit our friend regularly and are always encouraged by facilities and the staff, who are very attentive. The residents are looked after and fed well. There are options for the residents' amusement and help.
For the last two years, Parker Meadows has provided excellent respite care to my mother. It provided me with the opportunity to rest and refresh and I always felt completely relaxed knowing that Mum was safe, well cared for and genuinely welcomed by each and every member of staff. The respite breaks allowed her to build relationships and become familiar with the setting. When Mum suddenly required more nursing care, her admittance was managed so efficiently and with the utmost care and kindness from everyone. I genuinely did not look at another care home as Parker Meadows will I know take over from me for mum so well.
A big thank you to all the staff at Parker Meadows who have helped firstly my dad and then my mum to settle into their new home. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all my questions and worries both prior to my parents going into the home and now that they are both there. I am pleased that even though my parents have dementia at varying stages the staff always treat them with respect and try to let them make their own decisions.nThe home is always very clean and the meals which I have seen and tasted are good. I feel that the staff are always very caring towards both residents and relatives.
Received respite care for four weeks. Feeling a lot better returning home on March 17th. Was very pleased with the warmth and friendliness shown towards me.
A big thank you to all the staff at Parker Meadows who were involved in delivering a special Valentine's Day meal to Mum and Dad who are both long-term residents. It came as a big surprise to them and the family. Mum and Dad really enjoyed the meal and the whole experience. Interacting with the residents generally, and the organising of this meal in particular, is typical of the extra mile that all the staff (carers, activity coordinators, cleaners, caterers, maintainers, reception and administration staff) go in working as one big team to making the residents feel special and making living there really enjoyable for them. My wife and I have built up a good relationship with all the staff that allows for easy sharing of all the trials and tribulations that getting older involves ensuring Mum and Dad's life at Parker Meadows is fulfilled enjoyable and safe.
Our sister has recently moved to Parker Meadows, and her transition to the new surroundings was made very easy by all the wonderful, helpful members of staff. The smart, active welcoming reception/cafe area makes all the difference to our sister, along with all the activities going on every day. She loved her smart, light ensuite bedroom and settled in immediately.
My mother has been a resident of Parker Meadows for four years now. Previously, she had short stays in a couple of other care homes, and there is simply no comparison. The carers and nurses are thoroughly dedicated and endlessly patient with my mother's many anxieties, and team members in all departments treat her with great kindness and understanding. We're so glad she made the move to this lovely home.
My mum was in Parker Meadows for almost a year after becoming unwell and no longer able to live independently. Throughout her stay she experienced excellent care from the team on Poolside. They patiently supported her when she was struggling both mentally and physically initially and encouraged her to gradually regain as much independence as possible as she settled. She enjoyed the food and introducing other residents to a game! She did not join in with many of the other activities – mainly due to her hearing problems, but there were a great variety of options. Communication with all the staff has always been good and quickly responsive. My mum has now moved to a care home much closer to my sister (both my sister and I live at quite a distance), it was hard for her to say goodbye to the staff as she had grown very fond of them. Thank you for taking such good care of her during her stay with you – we felt she was safe in your hands, and we really appreciate that.
Whenever I visit I am full of admiration for the care and consideration by the care staff. They have a great rapport and a two-way connection with my aunt.
