Whenever I have left Knebworth Care Home after visiting my mother I have always been impressed. My mother is treated like family - with kindness, respect and love. I am constantly touched by the efforts of all the staff to created a wonderful atmosphere for all residents. To be able to trust all the staff to provide wonderful care is truly admirable.
Have found the staff very helpful, they are very kind and caring. The home is very clean and a nice place to be.
Our experience so far has been excellent. My Nan is clearly being looked after very well with nothing being too much trouble for the excellent staff. In the space of one week, we have seen my Nan grow in confidence and steadily recover from some injuries sustained prior to her time at Knebworth Care Hone. The care staff have taken the time to get to know my Nan and understand her needs. The staff are brilliant and we can have confidence in knowing that my Nan is truly being cared for.
I came to visit my friend who is 104 years old and lived here for 5 1/2 years. I had lunch with her and everyone was extremely kind and helpful.
My husband is a full-time resident with dementia. I have been pleased that there are many activities. He is cared for with kindness. Always looking smart plus he enjoys his meals.
My aunt came as a respite user and we have been have been very pleased with everything at Knebworth from the time she initially joined, to her movement to become a permanent resident. The care and support offered by the staff has been tremendous, particularly as she has had to attend a number of external medical appointments. I cannot thank the staff enough for the easy transition and the support we have been given.
My friend has been a resident for a few months now, staff are very helpful and kind, they helped with birthday party and made a great fuss.
My mother has been living at Knebworth Care Home for 6 months and it has been such an amazing experience. Such a happy, friendly atmosphere - visiting is a pleasure and the staff always make time to talk to the families. Such a comfort to know Mum is in such caring hands.
What a gem! A care home that actually cares. My father-in-law has been in Knebworth Care Home for six weeks and we are so pleased with the care he has received. Management and staff are helpful and deal with any queries immediately.
What a happy, friendly environment. Staff fantastic, helpful and supportive. We would like to thank the lifestyle coordinator and two other staff members in particular for their kindness and support during my wife's stay. One piece of advice that would have been helpful is about medication, it must be bought in in its prescribed box. Cannot fault people, service, food and environment.
I have recently moved to Knebworth Care Home from my apartment where I was living alone with support from my family since my husband passed away. All I can say that the whole experience at Knebworth Care Home has been perfect for me. The staff are wonderful, my room is lovely. I feel the care I am getting is absolutely excellent.
My mother moved in in September so she has been there for six months. She is very happy, I'm pleased to say. She loves the staff, has made friends with other residents and is joining in some of the activities, especially those that involve going out. Her room is home-from-home, and she was able to surround herself with her belongings and photos. We are so happy and relieved she is there!
Very supportive and caring staff. High-quality care for end-of-life requirements.
Mum was only in Knebworth Care Home for four and a half weeks before she sadly died earlier this week at the age of 90. She arrived directly from hospital and from the moment she arrived we all felt a sense of relief - Mum included I think even though she was disappointed to not be at home. Everyone was so welcoming and eager to make Mum comfortable. I know it wasn't easy for the staff with Mum's neck injury but they went out of their way to settle her and find comfortable positions. We all felt comfortable leaving her in their care when we left after each visit. I did have to double park a couple of times but the signing-in book with reg number worked and if I did double park I always let the receptionist know it was me so they knew who to go to without wasting time. Mum didn't eat so can't rate. Thank you so much everyone. Your kindness will always be remembered by me, my Dad and the family during this upsetting time. I would highly recommend KCH if you want your loved ones to be cared for in a friendly caring environment.
A friend of mine has been resident at Knebworth Care Home for a while now. It's not an easy time for my friend but the staff have made the experience second to none. The staff, facilities and food are excellent. The residents are cared for with such empathy that fosters a level of dignity that is insurmountable in my opinion. I hope if I ever need similar services I'll be provided with those anywhere close to as good as I've observed at Knebworth.
Dad is very well looked after, NHS referrals for an occupational therapist and speech and language - still waiting six weeks after admittance. The staff are chasing this. Kind staff, not good experience at the hospital so a relief - no one shouts and shoves him! Can't really comment on activities as Dad is currently not allowed out of bed to experience any. The food is currently puree so he isn't keen - having loved food before, again this is down to NHS referral, not the staff.
Overall really pleased with the support and care Mum gets. She often complains that meals are too spicy, but when we visit she usually manages to eat everything! The work staff are wonderful and keep informed with any ongoing issues etc. and ask for our input. Mum is hoisted and spends a lot of time in bed (her choice). I have to say that she has never had a bedsore and that is a testament to their nursing procedures and skin care regimes. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, but they need more staff.
Visiting Knebworth care home is always a pleasant experience. The home is always clean and the staff are welcoming and ready to chat with us. Dad is always clean and his room is tidy and does not have any bad odours. I feel confident that Dad is being well cared for.
Overall excellent care and support. Our mother is treated well by the staff and interacts with them when she is able. Our only issue would be the ability to find a parking space.
