View Full Details of The Old Rectory Care HomeI am very happy with all the care that I receive and the staff are very caring. If anything goes wrong it will always be put right. I always enjoy the food. There is always an alternative. The home is very warm and welcoming. The staff are very respectful and will always put themselves out especially if you are ill. They act very quickly. All in all I am very happy with everything.
I am very satisfied with the care that I am receiving. The staff are very caring, the food is nice, the home is warm and comfortable. I was lucky to have got a bed here. There are always activities going on that we can join in.
When I came in I was very anxious and very poorly, but soon put at ease. I am very fond of all the staff. The care is excellent from all and made to feel part of a big family very soon. Everywhere is spotless and food very good and very lucky to be here.
Everyone here is very kind and accommodating. I read a lot and regard this home as a nice respite. I am not demanding and do feel all my needs are being met. Considering the number of residents the food is very good. When I was admitted I would have liked a card in my room telling me what is expected of me but otherwise I am very satisfied. Everyone tries hard.
The Old Rectory Care Home in Albrighton near Wolverhampton provides a high quality comfortable home for my aged mother. She is well cared for, content and certainly well fed. The Home provides a variety of activities which my mother joins in and appears to enjoy which enables her to mix with the other residents including some excursions outside the Home. The welcome from all employed within the Home is very warm from Reception to all the carers, managers and all other staff who seem to know my name better than I am able to recall all their names. My mother has a full and carefully prepared Care Plan which seems to cover all aspects that are required for her, well developed, well thought out and used on a day to day basis to ensure her comfort and enjoyable time during her now lengthy residence at Old Rectory Care Home. I'd be more than happy to recommend any family looking for a Care Home to use the fine care offering at this Care Home.
My mother has been a resident in The Old Rectory for about 6 years. It really is the most wonderful place. My Mum has mild dementia but is treated with dignity and respect. All the carers seem to be genuinely fond of Mum. The rooms and en suite bathroom are always spotless, there are never any undesirable smells ! The food is great and my Mum who was underweight when she arrived here is now a healthy weight. She is not left in her room all day but encouraged to join in the many activities that take place. She is taken out on trips for shopping, to the garden centre and even bowling ! All in all I am more than happy with the care that my mother receives.
I have been in the home now for three months and have experienced a wonderful caring time. Nothing is any trouble for the staff who are all so kind and cheerful. I feel very fortunate to be here.
Arrived at the home in a sad state. I was greeted by instant help and kindness from all the staff. This has continued right up until today. Great care has been shown by one and all and nothing has been too much trouble whether it be night or day. I never knew that care homes could be so kind and generous in their looking after patients and, all our queries get sorted out efficiently and kindly. I intend to stay at this home for as long as possible.
I have now been a resident in The Old Rectory Care Home for three months. All the staff have made me welcome, my room is very pleasant and the food is very good with helpful understanding regarding my dietary requirements. Most days there are activities arranged in the very pleasant lounges, also outings to do some shopping or visit a garden centre. Altogether, all one could wish for in a care home.
I have been visiting my friend regularly and often had lunch with her since she was admitted towards the end of November. I attended their New Years Eve party which was excellent with a buffet and music. The home has a lovely atmosphere, the staff and management are always welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. There is always activities going on every day. My friend has settled well. She went in for respite but has now decided to stay. The home is warm and clean, bright and cheerful. I love visiting her at The Rectory.
In 2016, my younger brother suffered a massive stroke at the age of 67. He has no speech and has hardly any mobility on the right side of his body. He has been a resident at The Old Rectory for over eight years. The care he receives is of a consistently very high standard. The staff are always friendly and are always encouraging him to participate in the many activities that are available. The fact that he rarely joins in is due to his immobility and inability to communicate. They chat to him and tease him on many occasions. His room is pleasant and spotlessly clean. The food is of a very high standard. As a family, we are more than satisfied with the care he receives.
My brother has been a resident at The Old Rectory for eight years and the care has been outstanding. He is always clean, well-dressed and content in his surroundings. The food is very good and there are numerous events throughout the year for residents and family to enjoy. We cannot thank the management and staff enough for their fantastic care.
A lovely care home with a family environment feel. All staff have genuine care for residents and extended family. Residents are encouraged to attend weekly activities and trips. The church next door welcomes all residents for the church service. At prominent times of the year family and friends are invited to attend events such as the RAF Cosford airshow garden party. The Old Rectory Care Home is truly a place where we are happy and content as a family where our mother is cared for and looked after.
What can I say about this place - my mum-in-law stayed at The Old Rectory Care Home for 4 months. She was given so much wonderful care and love by the staff during this time and as a family, it was so reassuring to know she was in the best hands during this period of her life. We would recommend this care home without exception.
Excellent care home, staffed to a very high level. Superb care is given to residents.
Father-in-law has been a resident for two years and has been treated with dignity and respect. Today the home has hosted a friends and family day with RAF flying overhead. It was such a delightful day with us gaining a real understanding of the interactions and relationships the whole team have with the residents, it was a pure joy.
I asked my mum 'What do you like about The Old Rectory Care Home' Her reply summed it up, she said 'What's not to like'. They tend to my every need with care and kindness. This is the best home to be in! We agree with her. The staff and management are very professional and above all, treat us like their own family. What more can you ask for! They're the best.
Super response to my nan when she fell while I was visiting, quick response to first aid, very efficient with getting her back on her feet and all treatment was delivered while maintaining all her dignity and respect. She was looked after throughout the event to make sure she was ok.
A lovely welcome by all staff at The Old Rectory, well-organised hog roast to satisfy a large number of guests at the local airshow. A great event yet again, well done.
My mother passed away recently having spent nearly twelve years at The Old Rectory Care Home. She was always very happy with her care and the home, as were we, her family. Whatever she wanted, the staff always went the extra mile to provide, she was 99 when she passed away and we had put her long life down to the wonderful care and superb food she received from the staff at Rectory where nothing was too much trouble. During the last month of her life, staff were visibly upset by her deteriorating health and many in tears when she finally passed away. Some may see this outward display of emotion as unprofessional, we saw it as a reflection of just how much they care for their residents and are truly grateful for their outstanding care. We would wholeheartedly recommend Rectory for the excellent service they provide.
