I would recommend St Fillans Care Home to everyone. The care for my husband has been amazing for the last sixteen months. I cannot fault all the staff from the nurses, carers, cleaners, kitchen laundry, admin and entertainment, they are all caring, friendly, welcoming and professional. The home is beautifully decorated, with specific decorations for each season, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter etc. The entertainment is exceptional with a variety of different activities throughout the whole year which is enjoyed by all the residents. What more can I say, 5 stars!

My dad is a new resident and the transition was daunting at 1st but both my dad and our family have had full support from every member of staff we have come into contact with. I have 100% trust in his care, and how he is treated as an individual and could never imagine that a care home would be as exceptional as we are finding it. We feel lucky Dad has been placed in your care so thank you all.

My mum's care has been excellent since she was released from hospital with a leg injury. We were told she was at end of life and was not eating well. Thanks to all the staff, she has had vast improvements. Food is excellent and activities have very much improved in recent times. I can not fault the staff and management.

I cannot say how much I appreciate the care my brother receives at St Fillans Care Home. He is only 67 with early onset dementia and he has had a really difficult care journey until he arrived here! The staff simply could not be more caring or aware. They anticipate his every need as he can no longer articulate what he requires. I am so thankful for all that is done.

Such a well-run and happy home. Lovely carers, never complaining. Good nursing and the entertainment is excellent. Everybody is helpful and willing.

My father is at end-of-life - the care given is really good and the staff on St Johns could not be more genuine in the care and compassion they show to both the residents and their families. In the last few months, the entertainment has gone from strength to strength, this is down to one person who manages this now. The care home manager is very kind and compassionate.

St Fillans staff and carers are exceptional with their care of residents in the home. My special friend has been a resident with St Fillans for over 18 months and he is so happy and has made some very special friends with staff and residents. He is 80 years old today and the home organised a stunning Colchester United cake plus celebrations of D-Day.

I found St Fillans Care Home very caring and friendly. The environment is clean and staff are amazing. Management team is prompt and approachable. Good activity team which goes above and beyond. I am happy and so is my dad.

Our mum has lived at St Fillans for almost 6 years and throughout this time the care and kindness of the whole team have been exceptional. The care Home management team have supported our Mum wholeheartedly and are always available for a friendly chat and to share their experience and wisdom. The nursing and healthcare staff are just fantastic, so kind and caring. Without their compassion, skill and understanding of complex needs, Mum would not have thrived and overcome so many of the challenges that failing health can bring. A special thanks to all the nurses and healthcare staff within the Charter Hall Suite who support our Mum on a daily basis. Their kindness, empathy and dedication is appreciated beyond words. A final note of thanks to the wider Team at St Fillans who make Mum’s experience so great. With engaging activities, tasty food, and a flawless laundry and housekeeping service we could ask no more. Our thanks to everyone.

Amazing, friendly home. Residents are well looked after. There are plenty of food choices every day. Carers go above and beyond, and the entertainment staff are always happy to help too. Highly recommend!

This care home has been rated ‘requires improvement’ by the CQC, please take some time considering this care home for your loved one, it does lack some basic requirements you would expect. Hopefully with close monitoring by the CQC the Manager can assist the staff by bringing themselves up to some suitable basic care.

Amazing staff, exceptionally welcoming, friendly and a fantastic family feel all round. Couldn't find fault with the place. The staff really seemed to genuinely care and attended very quickly when called. Most Importantly the the resident I visited was happy there and even liked the food! Left feeling very relieved.

Mum recently came to St Fillans for respite while our father has an operation. She has been to the nursing home before and we have always found staff to be attentive, kind and responsive to our questions or suggestions. Mum is on St John's wing and we can honestly say that all members of staff we have come into contact with have been helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about Mum's needs. During this most recent stay, we have been so pleased that Mum has been able to be involved in the numerous activities going on around the home. Thanks to the team, she has participated in a wide variety of things this week and we have been able to see her on social media enjoying them when we cannot be there to see them ourselves. This is a real reassurance to us all to know that she is being motivated and engaged in purposeful things. We would definitely recommend St Fillans and thank all the staff on St John's ward and the home as a whole for caring for her so well.

I visited my friend at the care home last month, and I just wanted to share my experience there. I felt pleased by what I saw there. I mean the staff's behaviour and approach towards the residents were so admirable. They were calm and attentive towards them. Even the residents seemed like they were having a great time and had no issues at all. They were friendly with me too. I felt delighted throughout my chats. I didn't feel like a stranger at all. And something worth mentioning is the way they've kept the whole place neat! I believe they're all really hard-working and well-coordinated. It is probably what made me feel cosy even though it was my first visit there. Everything was so right and perfect. Their commitment to their duty actually inspired me.

I wholeheartedly recommend it due to the exceptional care they gave to my friend's relative while she was a resident at St Fillans Care Home. The manager was very kind and professional, as were the staff.

Mum did a respite stay at St Fillans, and we cannot recommend the care enough. The team of staff was very caring and understanding. The management acted very quickly to facilitate the admission. There were a lot of activities, and the facilities were outstanding. The home appeared clean and tidy always, and the food was great.

Everything looks fantastic in this home. I absolutely love the atmosphere that they are providing for the residents over there. Management and the staff are doing a great job to keep up with the facilities and all other things.

My dad has recently moved into St Fillans and settled in very well. The staff are friendly, and the home is very clean. Management is very approachable, and my dad is taking part in activities I never thought he would; my dad is very happy.

St Fillans is a very clean, warm, loving home. Staff go above and beyond, and it's so nice to see my dad smile again. The lifestyle coordinator is a credit to St Fillans, providing person-centred activities for each individual. She is amazing. I feel my dad has found himself again, smiling, laughing, and most of all happy.

My mother is a resident here due to being of sound mind but arthritis and mobility problems meant I could no longer care for her. The staff here do a wonderful job with her and all the residents, fortunately now restrictions are lifting they have entertainers able to come in. The home is kept beautifully clean and the garden is nice to sit in. The jubilee celebrations were excellent well done to the Lifestyle Coordinator and all the staff for their hard work on the 2 days.
