View Full Details of Blossom HouseMy brother has recently started to attend Blossom House. The support we received during the transition was excellent and he has settled well. My brother has fun and is well cared for while he is there and he looks forward to attending.
My son has been using the day care provision at Blossom House for some years now. The facilities at the centre are geared towards his needs. He is given an opportunity to learn life skills and socialise with his peers. He enjoys the activities, especially the walks in the nearby park. The management are experienced, and willing to accommodate or adapt in line with his needs. Overall the staff are willing to help him & make his time at the centre enjoyable.
My son is very happy and well settled there. He seems to enjoy all the activities done with him. He is well disciplined and listens to the carers. The staff are very friendly and meet all his needs to make it enjoyable and comfortable stay. He eats well there. I also get lot of support when my son has challenging behaviour at home by doing video call which is very helpful and help him to calm down by talking to the staff, and especially the manager. All the staff are very professional and helpful. My son is there every weekend for 3 nights and he has been there over 5 years.
My daughter has been coming to Blossom House for nearly 17 years now. She uses daycare and respite facilities. She always enjoys her time there, and we trust the staff to look after her well so that we can have the much needed respite we need. For our daughter it is home from home she is very happy and settled in the services she uses. We are always greeted by friendly staff from the escorts, drivers to care staff, and management. We are very happy with the service she receives and would highly recommend it to others looking for respite provision. My daughter is treated with dignity and there are a wide range of activities that she can join in with, and for us, the biggest issue is safety we know she is safe and well looked after so we don't have to worry about her.
My adult son has been coming to Blossom House for over a decade. The founder and staff are like our extended family. It's home away from home with lots more activities and friends for my son. Staff are caring, flexible and professional.
My sister really enjoys her day service club. She enjoys the dance group and going out in the park with the staff. We really appreciate the staff’s support and care. My sister always comes home happily. The staff are very helpful and supportive. Communication is good.
My son has been attending the Blossom Centre since he was a young age and since then till now they have been the family that takes care of my son and I can not thank them enough. They are awesome.
My daughter has been going to SCASS for many years. The staff are great and very supportive and helpful and will help with any issues we have. We are so grateful for the service provided and the respite it provides for our daughter. Greatly appreciated, as we know she is in a safe place with caring people and being with her friends.
My son and brother both attend the centre and are very happy there. The staff are all caring and helpful and are happy to help in personal situations and if I'm at an appointment, they will accommodate that with drop off and pick up times. I'm extremely happy with the service given. Well done Blossom House.
My daughter has been a Day Care Service User for over two years now. She loves going, does Monday to Friday. Before being a Day Care User, she has also had respite from Blossom House. The staff and carers are fabulous, so helpful, even with stuff with outside issues. My daughter, up until going to Blossom House, had only had a carer who was a family friend. So was so glad that, unlike a lot of centres, Blossom House was able to cater to my daughter's needs. It’s flexible and any problems that service users have, the staff cater to and will do their utmost to help. Unlike most, it’s about the service users themselves and, though every service user is different, they will do what’s best for the clients. I feel safe leaving my daughter and knowing that she is safe and happy, which is most important to any parent. Blossom House is the place I would like my daughter to reside full-time if, unfortunately, I’m not here to look after her.
My daughter thoroughly enjoys her time at the centre. She eagerly awaits the transport to pick her up. The staff are very friendly and professional. It makes me feel very much better knowing that my daughter is in a place she wants to be. She also enjoys being with the young adults and likes the fact that she is being treated well.
My daughter has been visiting Blossom House for some years which is the only good provision for those on the autism spectrum that I have found relatively local to me. The staff and management have adapted well to all the changes brought about both by social, Covid-19 and the economic crises as they seek to do their best to support the service users and their carers. My daughter has always been treated with kindness, respect and bearing in mind her range of issues which can be challenging and unpredictable, has been well cared for when receiving respite care. I cannot comment on activities as my daughter does not wish to engage with them. I would add that when I have had cause for complaint, there has been a swift and positive resolution which is what I would expect and the outcome has been satisfactory. To conclude, I would not hesitate to recommend the services provided by Blossom House.
We have been using S C A S S Ltd centre for my daughter's respite care for quite a long time. They have become like a family to us and we feel that when my daughter stays within the respite facility we do not have to worry regarding her care because we know that when she is collected she has been well looked after.
My brother goes every other weekend and the assistant director was very good and understanding about my brother and my mind was put at ease every time I rang. I still believe the charges are too high but that's just my opinion.
My son attends the day centre. It is a lifeline for us, he's happy and that's what matters, his happiness because if he's not alright I can't work. There are times I have to go into work at short notice and they are able to assist me in a way that makes things possible and it works for us all.
My experience of Blossom House is that it has provided the best possible care for my brother, which remained consistent throughout the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. My brother is a full-time resident, requiring 24hour, 7 days per week care, which did not waver in its commitment and quality. I found that the procedures put in place in response to the Covid pandemic proved to be very professionally managed, resulting in Blossom House having no cases of Covid throughout the ongoing pandemic. All the staff I encountered during my visits remained friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable as regards to my brother and his specific needs. They were also both adaptable and co-operative in employing the use of Zoom so that my wife and children could join with the rest of our family in wishing my brother a happy birthday during the pandemic. Each time I visited my brother, he remained bright, happy and settled in the environment. Excellent care service, especially for younger residents.
I have known the CEO for 15 years. She has a heart of gold and always puts the clients needs first. My son has been a client for this time. Blossom House is clean, safe and homely. Blossom House is my only respite and I have peace of mind when leaving my son there.
Friendly, caring, very flexible with dates and times.
My son is very happy to go to Blossom House. He is always looking forward to it and I am very happy that the support I get from them. I am very happy to send him there.
My special brother is always treated with kindness and shown respect and allowed to be himself. He has a full social calendar, his food is thoughtfully put together taking into consideration his special dietary needs. He has made many friends and Blossom House is more like a family home, not just a residential home.
