View Full Details of Weavers HouseMy relative was treated with dignity and respect from the moment he became a permanent resident in Weavers House. The staff were very dedicated to care provision and in the latter stages the care he received was second to none. The fact he was able to remain in the home and not have to go to hospital was a huge relief to us as a family. Any changes in condition were relayed to us in a timely fashion and we were involved in all decisions. If I could move this home and the staff to where I live we would have done so, we had an opportunity to move my father-in-law closer to home but we decided not to due to standard of care.
Since my grandfather has been in Weavers the support and care that the staff offer has been nothing short of exceptional. We as a family are always met with a smile at the front door from all staff members. Overall Weavers have exceeded expectations and we as a family have peace of mind knowing he is receiving the best care possible.
Overall I am very satisfied with the care and attention my father receives in Weavers, there is some wonderful staff (you know who you are) who treat my father like family for which both my sister and I are truly grateful, one small issue we do have however is the laundry, clothing seems to disappear, eventually some items turn up again, everything is labelled, this is the only frustration I have as the food, care and attention cannot be faulted. Thank you for taking care of our father.
I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Weavers. The staff were so warm and welcoming when I arrived on the first day with my Mum and I immediately felt reassured. The simple fact that they photographed Mum's clothes and possessions made it clear that they value the residents as people with their own preferences and style. The activities provided by the activities coordinators were brilliant and so well thought out. Eventually, my mum stopped engaging with the group activities but I enjoyed seeing the residents smiling and dancing. The parties are always great fun. As my mum's care needs increased, the staff were so patient with her, particularly as she struggled to swallow. They also supported me and other family members with care and respect when we were spending time with Mum in her final days, and for that, I am so grateful. I would encourage anyone considering a care home for their loved one to choose Weavers. The standard of care is second to none.
My dad went into respite first then got made permanent and couldn't ask for a better care home for him. The staff from the cleaners to the management are all fantastic.
I find the home very warm and caring. My mum is always well presented and always a lot of entertainment happening. The staff are very friendly and always chat to us.
Although Mum was with Weavers less than a year, as she has now moved on to nursing care from residential and no beds available, she has had to move to a new home with nursing care, bed available.
I couldn't say enough about this home, the care is unreal. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's very clean.
My father currently resides at Weavers House. Since arriving the whole team has supported and reassured us both through his transition. Weavers provides me with peace of mind as I know he's in safe hands with dedicated trained staff who are kind and compassionate and have his best interests at heart. Overall Weavers House is a lovely, clean and safe environment with beautiful gardens to enjoy and also exceptional array of activities which fill the home with laughter and joy. Thoroughly recommend this jewel in the crown.
Since my mother came here in November 23, she has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are excellent. Not only do they give her exceptional care, they make her laugh and keep her spirits up, which is so important. Best choice we as a family ever made.
Mum was very doubtful at the start but thankfully settled in! She is very reserved and I was glad to see her in the day room a few times, however, a fight between two residents at her door scared her. I'd like to suggest perhaps a member of staff could sit at each end rather than everyone around the middle. Apart from that I felt Mum was well cared for and was safe and it was nice I could get much-needed sleep! The entertainment at the Spring party was outstanding and we both enjoyed it! Thank you for everything.
Our mum went into Weavers House for respite. We are more than happy with the care and attention that she gets from the excellent staff. We feel assured and comforted that our mum is in a safe and comfortable environment which benefits her well-being. Keep up the good work Thanks.
As a family we have never been anything but pleased with all aspects of Mother's care, she is always clean, tidy and well-dressed and her overall health shows that she is always well looked after, the room and building are always spotless lately the staff are always pleasant and very helpful.
I'm in 3 to 4 times a week, all is great and always a lot going on, music etc. Everyone very warm and welcoming.
On January the 24th 2023, I visited an elderly relative. It was comforting to me to see her in her room, she was very happy sitting in a chair and a lovely sunny room by the window when a carer bought her a cup of afternoon tea and shortbread. My cousin was nicely dressed and clean, as was the room. Staff popped in and took a short walk with us, encouraging her with her Walker. When I was leaving staff gave me a tour and I was very impressed with the stimulation of crafts for Easter. There was music playing in the background. I was very impressed with Weavers House. A home from home.
Staff are always very welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble when requesting anything. They have a lot of fun activities planned for the residents. They make it feel like home from home.
The home is a lovely place to visit. The staff so friendly and helpful. My mother in law seems very content with her surroundings. Her room including the bathroom is always clean. Anytime I go in I’m made feel welcome
