View Full Details of Cross Way HouseMy mother was in Cross Way House for a relatively short time but my wife and I couldn't fault the care that she received from all of the staff. She was treated with kindness and dignity the whole time she was there. Unfortunately due to a short illness she recently passed away and we couldn't have been given more care and understanding at this sad time. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Cross Way House for making the last few months of my mums life the most comfortable and dignified that they were able.
Mum has been in Cross Way house for 6 months and really loves it, we are so pleased that we found this lovely home for Mum, we couldn't be happier with the care Mum receives, all members of staff always go above and beyond to deliver amazing care, compassion and support. We often have questions regarding Mum, and every single member of staff from management to laundry are always willing to chat with us and answer any questions we may have. We can't thank you all enough for looking after Mum so well. We really do appreciate it.
Staff are great with Nan. Very friendly and helpful at all times. The home feels safe and you always get a warm welcoming. I am happy my nan is being looked after by a fabulous team. Credit to all the staff and the manager who runs a great care home.
From the manager, deputy manager to the care staff, kitchen staff, cleaners, activities organiser and laundry staff, I have only found all the staff to be welcoming, friendly, kind, caring and always happy to speak to you if I have any concerns about my mum. The staff have never been rude to any family members. Since my mum moved in to Cross Way House, she has come on leaps and bounds, she loves living there, she loves all the staff and has a lot of respect for them and what they do for her on a daily basis. I have never seen my mum so happy. We were very lucky to find this care home, couldn't be happier, knowing my mum is in safe hands and being very well cared for.
My mum moved into Cross Way House care home in December. Nothing has been too much of a problem when we visit, they have always been extremely helpful when we have asked for our mum to be in her room, when we have needed to speak about finances, we are even allowed to bring our dog. We always ring to say we are on our way, this gives them time to have mum in her bedroom. Unfortunately today I spoke with assistant manager to say we were coming to see mum regarding POA so needed to speak in private in her room. The assistant manager was rude on the phone saying we have only put your mum in the day room and now you want us to move her and then you only stay for a few minutes, we are busy and you will have to wait if your mum is not in her room. We were happy to wait. When we see mum, normally after one minute she asks us to leave, we respect this. I tried to explain to the assistant manager why we don't stay long, but she was not interested.
My sister moved into Cross Way because she could not look after herself via hospital. She has put on weight which is great. Her personality and well-being are better. The staff are caring and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, I feel better that she is in a safe and secure environment. The activities are great especially the sing a long which my sister likes. She is always clean and tidy. My wife and I thank you very much for looking after her.
My Mother-in-law moved to Cross Way after a period in hospital. The home has made her feel welcome and my Mother-in-law loved living at Cross Way. The staff team is amazing, friendly, and very helpful from management down to the very caring care staff team. I would highly recommend Cross Way to anyone's family member.
I am very pleased we found Cross Way House to care for my Mum. The management and staff treat Mum with patience and kindness. Mum has advanced dementia and has displayed challenging behaviors, this has never been made to feel like a problem, just dealt with. I do feel Mum is at home and in the best place to meet her needs and keep her safe. I have no worries about Mums well well-being and wish everyone at Cross Way all the best to keep up their good work.
I am impressed with this care home. It is spotlessly clean, quite modern, and has ongoing facilities. All of the caring team has made my Mum feel welcome from the beginning of her stay. They always keep up to date on her well-being and what she has eaten etc. It is so comforting to know how well my Mum is being looked after. The staff, in my eyes, treat all the residents as if they are their own family. Showing care, affection, and friendliness. Thank you to all.
I'm very happy living here. All the staff are wonderful and caring. The activities are great.
Very friendly staff, especially the kitchen staff! Lovely place to live and has caring staff. Spacious rooms, all good... come and join us!
Staff very friendly and caring. It's a lovely home with all our needs taken care of. If you have a query over anything, the manager is always available for a private meeting.
Can not thank the team enough for the support they give me Dad every single day. My dad went into the home as an emergency in June 2023 and my dad decided that he liked it there and wanted to stay. He has good and bad days but the team is amazing with him. My dad is happy now he is with my mum in the home and he loves all the staff, I couldn’t wish for anything more.
My friend's partner's Mother is a resident at the Cross Ways, it is a wonderful home, with lovely staff, and the residents are all happy.
I cannot begin to describe how happy I am with the care of Mum whilst at Cross Way House. Mum was only at Crossway a short time but she was quickly accepted as a member of the Crossway family. The management and staff were/are the most caring considerate professionals I have ever met. Mum was cared for like she was a member of the family and treated with kindness whilst maintaining her independence and dignity as much as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who treated my family like lifelong friends. I cannot praise the staff enough. Thank you for caring for Mum and allowing me to be her son again.
My mother moved into the care home after a time in the hospital. She was made to feel very welcome by the staff and soon settled in. I feel she is in a safe environment and is being very well cared for. Since the first week of moving in she has become more alert. sociable and looks so much happier than when she was in her own home. The activities are very good and certainly help to stimulate her mentally and socially. It is a relief to me to know she is in safe and caring hands.
Very good today, well looked after. So pleased our sister is being well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our thanks to everyone.
Since my dad has been in Cross Way House it has taken a lot of worry from us as a family knowing that all of his needs are taken care of. He is always clean and tidy and on a balanced diet that meets all his needs. The staff are always helpful. Very happy with all of the support that Dad is given and the facilities are of a high standard.
Mum was in Cross Way for seven months and during that time she was treated with care, compassion and dignity by all the staff there. Her physical needs were very well met as was her emotional wellbeing. The manager and staff were always friendly and welcomed us with a smile when visiting. Not only was Mum well supported and cared about, but I was too. This was really a home from home for Mum, nothing seemed too much trouble. When Mum was on end-of-life care they kept me informed every step of the way and went above and beyond in their care of Mum to ensure she passed peacefully. I don't have the words to express my gratitude for the way the whole team looked after my mum. Thank you.
I feel Mum is being cared for very well and always safe. My mum does need to be encouraged to speak out ie when in pain, wants a drink/fruit. Carers do encourage this but she still isn't reaching out as much as she should.
