View Full Details of 3 Bridges Care HomeMy mum has been a resident in 3 Bridges since July and has settled in very well and is very well looked after by all staff. Staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable about Mum's needs and she is always treated with dignity and respect. Communication from staff regarding Mum has been excellent. There is a very wide range of activities within the home and Mum enjoys participating in these activities. While it was a very difficult decision to put Mum into a home she is very happy and we know she is receiving excellent care from a very caring, friendly, and professional team of staff. I would highly recommend 3 Bridges to anyone looking for a care home.
My mother has been a resident at Three Bridges (Executive Suites and Victoria Suite) since 2014, and throughout the years we have been delighted with the attentiveness of both, staff and management regarding her care and happiness. She has always been treated with dignity and respect, and even with great personal affection by many of the carers. The Home itself is welcoming for visitors as well as residents, is nicely decorated, clean, well-maintained, and offers a peaceful and comfortable environment, along with good facilities and stimulating activities and entertainment. Three Bridges has played a big part in my mother's happiness and well-being and we would highly recommend it.
After visiting other Care Homes we decided on the 3 Bridges. It is a very welcoming and friendly place that is well-suited to my father's needs. All the staff are attentive and caring. They have looked after my father's needs while still being very respectful. I have complete peace of mind and know he is being well looked after. This has been a great move for my father.
Both of my parents have been in the Victoria Suite for three months now and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The staff quickly developed an understanding of my parents' individual needs and responded to them with understanding and insight. When we visit, staff are warm, friendly and welcoming and we feel totally comfortable during our visits. Communication from and with staff has been excellent and timely. I have also found their compassion and support so valuable during what for me has been a difficult decision around long-term residential care. I can recommend 3 Bridges without hesitation.
I am the nephew of one resident and the son-in-law of another resident and have also had an aunt and many family friends as residents in the Three Bridges Care Home. I found that the standard of the home is excellent as is the food however, the standard of care provided by the incredible staff is exceptional. They are all very well trained, compassionate, understanding, friendly, and above all attentive to all of the resident's individual requirements and this helps family members to know that their loved ones are not only safe but are being exceptionally well looked after. I cannot thank them enough for looking after our family members as well as they do.
My mother receives excellent care and I am confident that she is treated appropriate to her condition 24 hours a day. When visiting her in Summer it is enjoyable to take her round the garden as there is much to see and do. In colder weather I can only be in her room with her. The communal tv room is understandably out of bounds for visitors but the other lounges have nothing to offer. One is a bar area instead of the long-established cafe, the other two are plain lounge areas which are often locked or set up for functions. It would be better if there were welcoming areas for families with an abundance of resources appropriate to the elderly and patients suffering from dementia. I feel that the purpose and function of these spaces require reviewing and the requirements of the care patients should be at the centre of the discussion. I am happy that my mother is in 3 Bridges and I congratulate and thank the staff on the excellent job they do.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for 8 months. The staff got to know her quickly and respond well to her needs. Her room is a good size with a nice view over the garden. There is a good range of other spaces she can use in addition to her own room. There has always seemed to be a good staffing ratio and staff have always been very helpful when we have asked for anything. Staff keep us informed of what is happening like health-related issues.
Friendly and welcoming. Good standard of care given. There are often no chairs in the room when visiting and it is inappropriate to be sitting on the bed! This is rectified when brought to the attention of staff but it happens often!
I am confident that my mother, who has dementia, is very well cared for and well-placed at 3 Bridges. The staff are exceptionally caring, kind and responsive to my mother's needs. They treat her and other residents with the utmost respect and dignity. Appropriate medical support is quickly in place if she needs it. The unit staff are very good at keeping me up to date on any issues. Entertainment seems to be regular and very appropriate. I raised a few times concerns of cleanliness, and although resolved, it did take longer than seemed necessary. The communal lounges are very inappropriate for residents' needs. Apart from Birthday gatherings etc, they are rarely used by residents. Wheelchair access is very difficult through the doors and around the large chair window - the blinds are awkward. There is a lack of a forum to voice and share issues with other families, my mother doesn't have the capacity to speak for herself.
My mum has been a resident at 3 Bridges since early August 2022 and suffers from Dementia. She receives exemplary care from the staff, who are caring, friendly, hard-working and professional. We are very satisfied with every aspect of Mum's care, and appreciate it hugely, especially as we know that it is not always easy. There is a welcoming, family atmosphere throughout, and everyone is willing to listen and to help.
Mum had a serious chest infection in January. Nurse/carers told me about Hospital care at home as her oxygen levels were dangerously low and gave me the option of this service or for mum to go into hospital. Chose the hospital at home option and the care home staff and the hospital service were incredible with their care for Mum who at nearly 102 years of age made a good recovery. I honestly believe if she had gone into hospital she may not have had the same outcome. The staff have been amazing.
Our experience at Three Bridges has been wholly positive. The care is kind and respectful and at the same time, professional. I can’t overstate the value of knowing that your dear relative is enjoying the best of care with a very human touch but underpinned by professionalism and ethics. Any minor issues we have raised have been taken seriously and dealt with immediately which only strengthens your confidence in the safety of your relative. Although underappreciated societally, the staff do the most important job in the world - facilitating people’s dignity in their declining years. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and they are supported by good facilities and management. It would be wonderful if there were more of them but financial realities prevail for us all and they deliver an incredible level of care whilst working incredibly hard.
Overall the care home has done an excellent job in the five years my mother has been a resident in what has been very difficult circumstances. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to their families.
I have only been visiting 3 Bridges in the last 4 months but each time I visit the staff are all friendly and happy to answer any questions and willing to assist me and my uncle in any way. Everyone behaves in a professional manner. The building is clean and during my visits the cleaning process continues throughout the day.
My father has just been admitted as a permanent resident at 3 Bridges. We’ve found the whole process of transfer from hospital and changing medication very stressful but felt support from the home. Two nurses in particular have kept us up to date with my father's challenging progress and we are now happy that he seems more settled. We are researching getting him a more appropriate chair to support him. We are happy that the home is meeting my father's care needs and look forward to seeing him in a good environment which means so much to us as a family. The care workers are all very friendly and we feel that they care for my father and he also feels supported by them which makes us feel happy that he’s respected.
Mum has settled really well in the 3 bridges. She’s happy comfortable & safe. The staff have made the move much easier for all the family. All staff are very approachable caring loving & very patient.
3 Bridges is a wonderful care home. After years of worrying about my mother falling in her sheltered house and having to travel hours to collect and assist her, knowing that she is safe and looked after a 10-minute walk away at 3 Bridges is such a relief. The staff are very supportive despite my mother's sometimes challenging behaviour and have ready access to medical support when needed. I can't recommend the care home too highly.
I have been impressed by the care Mum has had since joining you in November. Although she's finding it difficult to settle, all staff have been very kind and understanding. Nothing is too much trouble and I'm kept informed of changes to medication and updates on how mum has been. Can't thank you enough for relieving some of my stress. Visits can be challenging at times, I'm hopeful once Mum gets into the routine things will be slightly easier.
As care homes go this is a good one but there is still plenty of room for improvement, in hospitality and laundry as well as making the care more individual. We really miss the cafe as it was great for getting the residents out of the room for a change of scene and the coffee was lovely!
My mum has now been resident in 3 Bridges for 9 months. When she was first admitted straight from the hospital she was very poorly. As it is a nursing home the staff were wonderful and it meant she didn't need to go back into the hospital. The first few months were difficult but through the care and attention from the staff, my mum has really rallied and is very settled and has good fun with the staff. She really thinks of the place as home now and is not stressed and most of our visits are very enjoyable and again made better by the friendliness of the staff. If I had one issue it would be sometimes short of staff but this is a recognised UK-wide problem and the staff at 3 bridges in my opinion go above and beyond.
