Making the decision to put mum in a home was a difficult one but was made easier by the team of staff at St James. They have gone the extra mile to make mum feel settled and happy in her new home and always have time to chat with me and my sister to reassure us as well. St James Court is a bright, vibrant and happy place.

This was the 1st time my mother has been in respite and I have to admit my nerves were in bits leaving her, I retired from the NHS to look after my parents but sadly dad passed away in May, the care Mum received was outstanding the staff involved Mum with activities which she loved.

My mother has settled in quickly and all efforts have been made to make her feel happy, comfortable and safe. The staff are friendly and patient. There are activities ranging from armchair exercise, and balloon tennis to having mothers and toddlers visit. It is a great relief knowing she is being well looked after.

The staff and the accommodation at the St James Court are fantastic. I am in no doubt that my dad is receiving the best care for dementia and he is in a safe environment. I live abroad and I am stress-free each time I visit him and then leave. I didn't think he would settle in a care home, but thanks to the hard work of the staff he did. The staff at the home are his family now too.

My sister is very well looked after by all the staff. They are all excellent at keeping us informed about my sisters health issues. The home is a really well place. The residents appear to be kept entertained with acts etc. It is very well kept and the standards or cleanliness are first class.

My Mum has been at St James Court for fourteen months. It was a heartbreaking decision but Mum has settled in really well thanks to all members of staff. Any problems have been sorted efficiently and promptly, the staff are polite, caring and have a great sense of humour and are easy to get along with. All areas of the building are spotlessly clean, there is a good varied menu and Mum enjoys her food. I would highly recommend St James's.

My mum has resided at St James Court from the beginning and I have every confidence in the staff team who work really hard on a daily basis making sure my mum is comfortable and happy. When visiting the home everyone makes a effort to say good morning and have always a good listening ear when dealing with issues or concerns. The home is always clean and safe for other residents to move around safely. The home is always busy with visits from children from the local nursery or doing arts and crafts encouraging the residents to participate. I am so reassured my mum is getting the care she needs and would like to thank everyone at St James, you are a credit to the company and appreciate everything you all do. I would definitely recommend saint James court. Keep up the good work

I am a volunteer at St James Court and I love the time I can spend in the home with the residents and staff. My Mum was in the home for 5 years and since she passed away I still feel her presence here. We had some tears during the time she was here but lots of laughs too. I don't think our family would have coped at home looking after Mum. We could go and visit her any time and always came away with a smile on our faces (probably something she said, once she said me and my brother looked like each other and we could possibly be brother and sister) and we always knew she was well looked after and safe. My Mum was my best friend and it was the hardest thing to do to put her in a home, but we soon realised that is was the best thing, so that we got quality time with her. Thank you St James for not only looking after my Mum but also for looking me.

Come every week and made welcome by staff. We sit in nice surroundings, we are nice and warm and it's clean. Any problems we have they sort them out.

My dad has been a resident here for over 3 years now, he is well cared for, the home is very clean, and it doesn't feel like a care home. All the staff are brilliant with him, I would recommend St James Court.

I would highly recommend St. James Court Care Home, the staff are caring and helpful and good at what they do. There is a nice atmosphere throughout the home. You are always made to feel welcome. Great job to everyone.

The manager is the most professional, caring person who looks after not just the residents and staff but also the residents' families. I have no idea how I would have managed when I had to put my wife into the home permanently. The same goes for all the staff who are very caring.

Mum has always been happy since coming to live in St James Court three years ago. All staff are friendly and obliging. As a family, we are happy in the knowledge that Mum is safe and in good hands.

Something I never wanted to do, was put my Mum in a nursing home. Things got worse with her mobility so we had to do something. We had heard about St James so she went in for respite first. After a couple of weeks, she booked to stop, and we could see why, the staff were brilliant with her, she had company, made new friends - St James is a home-from-home place. Plenty of activities all staff and other relatives have a good rapport. The food is outstanding and the home is spotless. Keep up the good work.

My mum was admitted to St James Court after she had a fall at home and was no longer safe to be there. It was such a difficult decision but I can honestly say from the moment we first went to now, I can't praise the staff enough. Their kindness and understanding have been outstanding and have helped beyond words. The home is immaculate and the food looks lovely. Every effort is made to make it a home-from-home. Management is approachable and professional and they listen, nothing is too much trouble and the carers are absolute gems. I can't thank them enough.

Having looked around several care homes for my mum, I knew this was the one. I was greeted warmly and openly by all the management and felt a very positive and caring vibe as I was shown around. I haven't been disappointed! My mum is respected and considered at all times with care and dignity. The staff make this place, they go above and beyond to make Mum feel at home as well as with her visitors. There is an air of warmth, empathy and support which I value and appreciate. Thank you, St James Court.

Mum has been in respite care for the last seven weeks at St James Court. Her stay there has been brilliant. She absolutely loves it and cannot express enough how great all the staff there are. She is looked after very well and the difference in her health and appearance is amazing. The management and staff are second to none and the place is immaculate and is a real pleasure to visit. Thank you everyone!

Eleven months ago, we, as a family, were told to be prepared for the worst as our 94-year-old mum might not make it through the night. Now look at her!! She looks younger than she did five years ago, and her health has completely changed. This is all down to the wonderful team at St James’. It was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make regarding my mum going into a care home, but I have no regrets or reservations. All the staff here, from the manager to the cleaners, are heroes. Friendly yet professional, caring in a genuine way, have pride in what they do and very approachable. There are no problems here because should you bring anything to their attention, it is dealt with. We sleep very easy at night knowing Mum is kept clean, warm, well fed and, just as importantly, treated as an individual, enabling her to make her own decisions when appropriate. We wouldn’t want her anywhere else.

This care home is excellent. All the staff are very friendly and caring. Always have the highest standard of making sure all are showered and clean. I have absolutely no issues at all. I know my mum is well cared for, and that gives us all peace of mind. There are always activities that the residents take part in. I can not express enough how brilliant St James Court is, and I would most definitely highly recommend it for anyone's loved ones.
