View Full Details of Lake View Residential Care HomeThis home is outstanding. My grandad needed emergency respite care and the home manager went above and beyond to assess and offer comfort and reassurance to the whole family making the process much easier and less painful. My grandad loves the home, believes he's treated like a king and nothing is ever too much for the amazing staff that are a credit to the home. My family are forever greatful
We had to look for a care home for my wife and Lake View was by far the best one we viewed. I took my wife a while to settle in but all the staff were excellent in making my wife feel at home. The food is first-class. Lake View is a very friendly home and is very well-run.
There is a friendly atmosphere in the home and I enjoy visiting my mother, knowing that she is well cared for. I have found that all the staff, whether management or care staff, are always kind and helpful.
My mom has been at Lake View Residential Care Home since August 2024. Mom has taken a little bit of settling in, but from day one, the management, care and cleaners have really helped her and have gone above and beyond to get her settled. Lake View staff are amazing with family and friends who visit, we always have a very warm, happy welcome. Anyone going into Lake View Residential Care Home, do not worry, they are the best.
Had yet another lunch/dinner with Mom at the care home and the service, quality and value for money are excellent. Mom doesn't like travelling anymore, so the family come to her and she really enjoys our meals together. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
I am very happy with the support my dad is given. The staff are very helpful. The only thing I would say is that some of dad's clothes go missing, I know this is not easy to amend as some of the residents forget things. I did try to mark all of his clothes, the socks and pants can be difficult to mark. Would it be a good idea to put these in a washing hot bag and mark with the room number. The other thing is could the morning staff put some different clothes on.
My nan was at Lake View, the care she was given was amazing beyond words even to her last days. They were amazing to the family and gave us so much support and confidence. We couldn't thank you enough as a family for all your kindness and love you gave nan and us. You are all superhero's in our eyes. Thank you for giving my nan astounding last year.
My mum has been in Lake View Residential Care Home for almost 2 years now and I can honestly say that the care she receives is second to none. There doesn't seem to be a very high turnover of staff which means that you always see the same friendly and familiar faces. As I have no siblings, Mum's care has been my sole responsibility but when she moved into Lake View, I received so much help and support from all of the staff to the point that they now feel like my extended family. There are lots of activities for the residents to get involved in and the staff always show so much care and compassion. You are always kept so well informed about everything to do with your loved one, no matter how minor. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lake View to anyone.
I moved from Telford to Wales in September and can now only visit my sister once a month instead of weekly. Since moving staff have telephoned me with any problems regarding my sister and kept me informed at all times regarding her welfare. I know she is well looked after and there is a feeling of genuine care from staff.
My mum has been at Lake View since October, the staff are amazing, kind and considerate and friendly. Mum has dementia and gets very emotional at times but the staff take time with her and calm her down. I wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else.
Thank you for the care and support you have provided to my Mum over the last 3 years. She has very much benefited from the care and compassion you have given. Happy New Year and best wishes for 2025 to everyone at Lake View.
While my mom was in Lake View in my experience and heat I saw was the staff on floor 1 were exceptional and very caring. The staff were also caring to the family of the resident.
If you want the very best care and support for your loved ones then Lakeview really should be at the top of your list. My mum is so well cared for in a lovely homely environment, the staff are amazing, kind and considerate treating residents with respect whilst maintaining their dignity. The food is first class with an excellent choice of menu. The housekeeping team work endlessly to ensure that residents can be proud to live in such a lovely home. When we chose Lakeview to care for Mum I can say without hesitation we chose the very best.
My mother is a resident of Lake View Residential on respite care. She has settled in really quickly and has been made to feel very welcome. All of our concerns about her going into a care home were immediately put to rest upon viewing the facility, meeting the staff and other residents, everyone seems genuinely happy, positive and upbeat upon every visit. The facilities are very good. The staff have gone to great lengths to accommodate my mother in terms of what she would like to eat and encourage her to interact. They have even helped her maintain outside friendships helping her write cards/letters which is really important to help her to engage with people socially. Mum seems very proud of her room, always happy to give anyone a tour who comes to visit taking pride in the overall facility. They have been good at communicating with the family and alerting us to any medical appointments or developments with Mum and enabling her to call us at will or for us to call her for a chat.
My mother has thrived since arriving at Lake View, both physically and mentally. She has a good rapport with the staff who are supportive and encouraging. Her room is well-appointed and fully meets her needs; she now refers to it as her home which is wonderful to hear. The staff try really hard to provide interesting activities and encourage her to engage. The resident's views are actively sought across all matters affecting their care at regular residents' meetings and Mum really appreciates the staff listening to their suggestions. We are happy and reassured by the care Mum receives.
My father was a resident for respite care for just over two weeks. He was made to feel very welcome on arrival and settled quickly. The environment was very clean and pleasant. When I collected Dad I could see he had been treated with kindness and respect throughout his stay. All the staff were lovely. Thank you for taking such good care of my Dad.
My dad moved in on the 18th April, the staff are amazing, very friendly, kind and very professional. My dad loves being in Lakeview care home, he is very happy. Very clean and has great food. Thank you everyone at Lakeview for making my dad's life so happy. Myself and my sister are very grateful.
My mother went into Lake View initially for respite care following the death of my father at the end of 2020, during Covid so we were unable to preview the home but it had a good reputation. My mother had dementia which steadily progressed. Our first impressions during visits (once allowed) were mixed. Sometimes Mum was unkempt and this was a concern. Things did seem to improve in 2023 as staffing seemed to improve/increase but I still feel dementia residents could have been better occupied. At the end of her life, however, care was exemplary and could not have been better.
Mum was accepted into Lakeview. I and my sister looked around and thought immediately that it was the one for Mum. Fantastic people work there, both male and female, which I think is so important as it shows diversity. The people who work there are friendly, approachable, informative, kind, caring and fun. My mum's first Christmas was full of care, compassion, fun, activities, love, joy, thoughtfulness and dignity. The individuals who work at Lakeview are compassionate, lovely characters, passionate, caring, thoughtful, innovative, individual approach and happy.
Currently, my mom is in respite at the Lake View Residential Care Home. She has been thriving since she has been there. They have helped her walk more; she is so much happier and confident - it’s lovely to see. Always willing to help with questions. Nothing is too much trouble - absolutely outstanding.
