I would like to give a massive shout out and thank you to Johnson Unit. Just recently, I have been spending every day with my dad and have witnessed how hard and difficult the fault routine is for the guys who work on this unit. The whole team get together remarkably well, even under stressful and intimidating circumstances. Their care for the residents is second to none.

Very happy with Mum's care. She is treated with dignity and respect. She thoroughly enjoys the activities put on and she has become much more social as a result. Mum has lived at Darwin Court for the last 3 years and is very happy and content. Any questions/queries are always dealt with in a timely manner.

Since our relation took up residence in Darwin Court, over four years ago, his care has been exceptional from all levels of staff across all support functions. The staff have also taken time to build relationships with us as the family, to which clearly shows the care and compassion they all have in caring for your loved one. The facility is immaculately maintained and clean. Support and communication is always available overall. Well done to all for everything you do for us.

First Class- Would strongly recommend - I came to Darwin Court - looking for somewhere that would give me the opportunity to rebuild my life following some personal trauma's. The assistance and support given by the excellent Home Manager and his team have been second to none at all levels, and the environment created not only by the Darwin Team but also by all entire Darwin Ecosystem should be the model for all of establishments of this type. 5 Stars is not enough.

My sister has lived here for a year now, the place has gone from strength to strength. We love all the activities they do, everyone is so helpful all the way to the manager who always helps. We couldn't be happier anywhere else

I always feel it is a pleasure when I visit my mother at Darwin Court Care Home. I have a sense of well being knowing my mother is happy, in safe hands and being well cared for. The staff are very caring, kind and go out of their way to try and help. I would not have any hesitation to recommend this care home to anyone.

I have found that Darwin Court is the best care home I could find for my husband. The home has a lovely feel to it and the staff are very caring, and I feel happy that my husband will be well cared for which is a massive relief to me.

The care my cousin had was first class, no complaints at all. Has been in one month for respite but wanted to return on a permanent basis.

Excellent care home. This is the 2nd Avery Healthcare home my father has been a resident in and both have been terrific. Darwin Court Care Home is clean, well appointed, and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are excellent, caring and professional. My father gets wonderful care. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Darwin Court to you.

Regretfully another case of "all that glistens..." I was left with the decision to choose a nursing home for my Mum, as an only child it came down to me and foolishly I chose Darwin Court. It's pretty, it's glitzy and it promises first-class care. After only seven months my Mum was taken to hospital where it transpired that she had sustained a serious fracture, which I am told is quite unusual for someone who is bed-ridden. Of course, she was safeguarded by the hospital and as events unfolded she did not return to Darwin Court. I wasn't kept informed of the outcome of the inquiry that followed, by social workers or Darwin Court and had to telephone them to ask for details, unsurprisingly they advised that they did not know how my mother's injury had occurred. I have not received any communication from them since I collected my Mum's belongings. I have tried to contact them but they do not return calls.

I am very pleased with the care and support provided by Darwin Court. From the moment my Nan arrived, the staff made us all feel welcome. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a homely environment. My Nan has been very happy with the activities since joining and the food always looks amazing. The staff are compassionate and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that the needs of all the residents are met. My Nan especially loves that she always sees the manager, who goes out of the way to talk to everyone, as this makes her feel special. Thank you Darwin Court

On behalf of the entire family, I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for everything the management and staff at Darwin Court did for our mom during her stay with you. The care Mom received since she moved into Darwin Court on 2 Mar 2024 was delivered professionally, with great care, dedication and friendliness. Mom felt calm, comfortable and relaxed in her lovely garden view room and felt warmth from everyone she met. As visitors to Darwin Court, the family were made to feel very welcome and part of a community. All the staff, no matter what their role, were professional, approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and staff always made themselves available to listen, help, advise and provide support to the family. This was fully recognised, acknowledged and greatly valued by the family. Thank you again for taking care of our mom. We are truly grateful for everything that everyone did. Kind regards.

Everyone in the home is friendly, kind and helpful. Reception go above and beyond. Activity staff have great personalities full of fun have a lovely way with the residents. Mum is happy there. Big turnover of staff as most care homes have, which is a shame but staff in care try their best.

Mum is very well looked after. Food is okay. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are kept clean. Waiting for a new carpet and curtains.

Mum has been at Darwin Court for over two years. She is settled and calls it home. The staff work hard and care about their caring.

Mum came to live at Darwin Court Care Home in January 2023. The care she received was exemplary. From the beginning, we could see that the emphasis was on the word home. Darwin Court became Mum’s home very quickly. We had her birthday here last year in a very special private dining room and she passed away on her birthday this year. If she went to hospital when she returned, she was warmly welcomed back into the fold, staff always gathering around her. We felt that Mum was always safe at Darwin Court, we never worried that they were not taking care of her. On her final few days, they were very attentive to both Mum and us. Even once Mum had passed, their care for her was of the utmost respect. We were with Mum at the end but I’m sure had we not, they would have been there for her. After she had passed away, one of the carers sorted her out, when we went back to Mum, she looked beautiful, we then spent time with her and were never rushed. We have been told that we can pop in anytime for coffee.
