View Full Details of Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care HomeThe care of mom has been outstanding from the first time she went into care 4 years ago. The staff are amazing and when it comes to the entertainment she is always the first to get up and start dancing along to the music.
My aunt became ill very quickly, and we wanted to find a care home close to where she lived so she could have visits from friends and neighbours, so we looked at Bartley Green Lodge. Right from the first tour to view, we felt right at home and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and understood what a difficult decision it was to choose a care home, and so quickly. They were really helpful and helped me 'dress' my aunt's room before she moved in, so she had her own clothes in the wardrobe, her own photos, and bits and pieces. Since she has moved in, the staff have been amazing, so patient, keeping me up-to-date with any and all developments, and have taken the time to talk to me and my aunt's other family and make us all feel welcome as visitors. My dad now says he'd move in when he can no longer stay at home! I'm very grateful to the staff at Bartley Green Lodge, they've been absolutely amazing.
My mother was a resident for over two years and received outstanding care. The staff were attentive and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. My brother-in-law is now a resident and is receiving the same care. The home is always clean and fresh and I'm told the food is top notch!
Staff are very friendly and helpful and are always available to assist in anything that is required. The home is always clean and tidy. There is always plenty to do for the residents. Mom settled in really quickly and always says how lovely the staff are.
My mom was a resident at Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care Home for more than seven years, in this time, Mom was cared for and loved by the wonderful team there. Mom didn't always take part in activities but that was her choice, she enjoyed to quietly watch and had enjoyment from watching others. Mom was always given a choice whether it was what she wanted to eat or where she wanted to sit. The gardens are beautiful, like the people who work there. Always clean and fresh meals are always beautifully presented, brilliant chef. A wonderful place to live. Space to wander around, lots of pictures on the walls. A great activities coordinator with masses of energy and ideas. Lovely days out and children from a local school come to visit which gives some of the residents much joy. You can have peace and quiet or fun and madness, it's your choice and that's what counts. Nothing is too much trouble, just ask. Your worries are always listened to, just speak them.
Mum has lived at Bartley Green Lodge for over two years now and is very well cared for. The home is exceptionally clean and professionally run. The staff have worked hard to get to know Mum and have tailored care plans to her needs. It is reassuring for us that she is safe and cared for at all times. Mum has her hair and nails done every week and the programme of activities is extensive. We are always welcomed into the home and invited to engage with the various events and activities going on.
In October my mother had her 100th birthday at Bartley Green Lodge. What a fabulous party the staff put on for her. She is thriving at Bartley Green Lodge, all down to the level of care she receives from the staff and management. A very clean, modern environment. Plenty of organised activities. Your level of care for our mother is very much appreciated.
My family member has dementia and has been a resident at Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care Home for over two years. He is thriving at Bartley Green Lodge. He is very happy and content all his needs are met. The activities are brilliant ar Bartley Green Lodge, keeping the resident occupied is invaluable. Wonderful home, welcoming and inclusive to families, couldn't wish for a better place for my family member to reside.
Immediately struck by the cleanliness and professional caring ambience. All staff were so helpful and polite. Inspired total confidence in the standard of care provided to all residents. Thank you very much.
The staff at Bartley Green Lodge are amazing. My dad lived at the care home from April to Novemeber 2023 until his passing. I would recommend anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a loved one, to check out Bartley Green Lodge.
I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at this amazing care home in Birmingham. it was an incredible experience. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and positive environment for both the residents and volunteers like myself. One of the highlights was playing bingo with the residents. It brought so much joy and laughter to their day and it was heartwarming to see their excitement when they won. Overall, I highly recommend this care home for its friendly staff and engaging activities. It's a place where love and care are truly evident.
My mum was a permanent resident of Bartley Green Lodge from 22 May 2022 until her death there on 29th October 2023. The quality of Mum's care has been exceptional. Mum entered care suffering from Alzheimer's, the condition from which she died. As Mum's disease progressed, the care that she received never faltered, it adapted as she grew more poorly, with staff continuing to brighten her life until the very end. Nothing more could have been asked of or indeed provided by Bartley Green Lodge. The staff are exceptional. They have a compassion, empathy, skillset and 'can do' resolve that shines from them. They truly are extraordinary people. This has been evident throughout Mum's residency. Towards the end of Mum's life, everything was done for Mum and for us all as a family that could have been done and everything was explained and shown to us in a sensitive way. The empathy and support at Mum's death will not be forgotten by us. Finally, Bartley Green Lodge is superbly run and managed. Thank you.
Mum had to move from her previous care home in February this year because of closure and we were all concerned about the change for her, especially as we live so far away and were unable to visit. We needn’t have worried, the staff have been so kind and welcoming and have treated her as one of the “family”. We see many photos of her in the newsletter and she is always smiling and has a lovely member of staff close by. We were particularly touched by the amazing celebrations they organised for her 100th birthday here at Bartley Green Lodge in October. It was very special for her and for her family. Our heartfelt thanks go to all the staff and management team.
I enjoy living here at Bartley Green Lodge Residential Care Home, I look after a dog called Beryl who we dogsit. The staff support me with online shopping and access to the community with pub lunches. The bar in the home is a win and I always seem to win the bingo prizes! I enjoy the food and can request meals if I don't like the option. Staff are kind and helpful, we have a laugh.
Great staff and a really clean and tidy home. I always have great communication, and they are happy to help with any questions or queries that I’ve had. I would recommend this home to anybody who has a friend or relative who would benefit from their services.
Staff are excellent but one major problem is the build-up of heat, particularly on the second floor. The heat cannot be controlled and the owners need to install air conditioning units. Residents and staff suffer heat exhaustion. As a visitor, I can only tolerate the heat for a short time and have to cut short my visit. The temperature in my brother's room reaches over 30 degrees - you are putting lives at risk. Residents are at risk of suffering heat stroke. Owners/managers must have an effective plan for dealing with rising temperatures. Room thermostats are completely useless and therefore, redundant. Please act! It's not fair on staff to work in these conditions. The ratings I have given for rooms and safety/security are due to heat. Staff need to clamp down on visitors blocking other visitors in the car park. If there is no room in the car park, visitors should be encouraged to park in the road outside of the premises. Thank you.
My mother is looked after extremely well, always clean with fresh clothes on and is always treated with respect and dignity. Everyone is so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. The home is bright and airy and very clean. I have no issues whatsoever.
I could not be more pleased with the care and attention my wife receives at Bartley Green Lodge. Staff are always polite and welcoming on my visits. My wife also loves the home and the staff, medical care is the best she has had from the moment she arrived. Entertainment is also fantastic.
The home is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The new garden is lovely and a treat to sit out in the sun with my dad.
Bartley Green Lodge is what every care home should strive to be! My anxiety levels were through the roof when I was told Mom needed to go into care. The staff here were so supportive of us and seeing Mom hug staff and smile and laugh with them has been so good to see. She has only been here a short time but is settling in well! Thank you to everyone.
