View Full Details of Fairfield HouseMy grandma has been a resident at Fairfield for a while now. She seems happy and content. The staff are friendly and helpful. Grandma's room is lovely. It's in the new build part. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
This is a very lovely place the staff are just brilliant in every way. My wife is in here with dementia and is very well looked after and I know she is in great hands. When I leave her. You are always made welcome here. The managers are always there to help with any problems so that note 10/10.
Very good care home. All staff are very caring and professional. My husband seems pretty happy and contented. He has only been in the care home for a couple of months but seems happy.
My dad stayed at Fairfield over the Christmas period, he was admitted for emergency respite. The home manager went above and beyond to facilitate Dad’s stay, at very short notice. Dad appeared very content and happy, the staff spent time talking to him and offering reassurance. The food smelt wonderful and Dad always appeared to clear his plate, I would highly recommend Fairfield the manager and her team.
Lovely home from home. Mum went to Fairfield for a week over Christmas and stayed in one of their new en-suite bedrooms. The staff were attentive welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them and showed genuine respect for the elderly. Special mention of the experienced carers there and from the first day made mum feel welcomed, special and safe. The only downside for me was cosmetically in that the older part of the building on the ground floor lounge and dining area was tired with furniture well worn and both rooms in need of a total refurbishment which I understand is planned for this year. Other than that this home is a real find providing that friendly homely feel with high standards of cleanliness and care. It’s because of the superb staff who work there and who genuinely really care about their residents - you can sense the happy atmosphere when you first walk in which is important to live in that sort of environment to lift your day!
We had the need to use the wonderful services on offer, at Fairfield, during Christmas week 2023. My Dad has dementia and we needed a few days respite for him, the staff and management were incredible, both caring and understanding to our family and our father's needs, Dad was well cared for, comfortable and given privacy and was supported with anything he needed. The staff were friendly, we had great reports of the food and dad enjoyed the outside space for supervised fresh air, his room was comfortable, and had a homely aesthetic, a very nice and safe wet room and comfortable accommodation. From a family point of view, visiting was no trouble, staff were happy to escort us to him and very accommodating. The location was easy to find and on a main transport route, the home itself was impeccably clean and neat. If we need to use respite services again, we won't hesitate to use Fairfield. Thanks a million for supporting the family in our time of need and taking care of our Dad.
I am needing full-time care, so it has been quite a shock going from independence to living in a nursing home, but I am so lucky to have chosen Fairfield Care Home. I feel so looked after. The staff are so caring and always smiling. The atmosphere is so pleasant and friendly, and I feel at ease here.
I thoroughly recommend Fairfield House. My wife transferred to this care home when her needs became more complex. Every staff member has been so wonderfully caring, compassionate and understanding of my wife and I. Always so friendly and ready to give a full report of how my wife is fairing. I rest easier knowing my wife is receiving excellent care with such patience, making sure the needs of my wife, however small, are met as far as possible. During my regular visits, it never seems like they are just following a routine but genuinely trying to give my wife the best quality of life she can have. I cannot praise all the staff and management enough. The treatment of residents as though they are their own family members is heartwarming.
Wonderful staff and management, very consistent great care , with carers who go above and beyond. Management are quick to do everything to make residents happy, the staff go out of their way to make sure the residents feel at home and cared for.
After my mother was a bit concerned about going into nursing care, the experience has been amazing. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and kind. From asking for a hairdresser to having her hair done the next day, nothing is too much trouble, a lovely, friendly, homely home. From my point of view, after seeing her in other homes, this home is on another level, from the amazing management to every member of staff. I can have my mind at ease knowing she is being well cared for by an amazing team.
After a very difficult decision for my mother to go into a care home to be looked after, I am very happy with the care she is getting. Nothing is too much trouble. The open visiting time is good, and Mum has been very happy since she moved in.
Mum was well looked after and the staff were always very caring and professional. She was happy there which helped her well-being.
I have visited my friend at Fairfield House, and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful with a smile on their faces, on one occasion I met a lovely lady who I believe is the Deputy Care Manager who was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On my visit to the home, I was really pleased with the standard that the home was kept, extremely clean and fresh. My friend was very happy telling me she enjoyed staying there, the food was nice and enjoyed the activities.
The manager and her staff have been nothing but incredible with my mother, who has Huntington's. The home is always kept immaculately clean, tidy and fresh smelling. My mum is always treated with respect and dignity. The room is always clean and tidy. Mum always tells me how lovely the food is. She is also safe and secure
My mum was a resident at Fairfield House for around 4 months. During her time spent there, she was very well cared for by dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, despite mum being challenging at times, they handled her with care and compassion. The home is exceptionally clean and fresh smelling. We lost mum in November - during her last few hours we were able to be with her. The staff were fantastic, keeping us well watered and fed during the night. I will always be grateful for the love and care that mum received in their care, and can highly recommend Fairfield.
Fairfield House is a friendly and welcoming home which is currently being extended. Their staff are, for the most part, smiley and chatty to the residents and cleanliness is of a high standard. Due to the pandemic, activities have been limited.
On the occasions I have visited my grandmother at Fairfield House, I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful towards the residents and their visitors. From what I have observed, the rooms, the food and the security are all of a high standard.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to visit my Auntie for quite some time due to distance and Covid-19 restrictions but thanks to the activity coordinator, who has been fantastic during this pandemic, I have been able to speak to my Auntie via zoom. This week I was able to visit and the staff made the visit so special with high tea for us to enjoy together in my Auntie’s room.
My Uncle has been living in Fairfield since 2016, he always speaks highly of the home and when visiting there is always a very homely atmosphere. My Uncle has a diagnosis of dementia and schizophrenia causing challenging behaviour at times, all the staff are kind, patient and understanding.
I would like to thank all the staff for keeping my uncle safe during the pandemic, the home has had strict guidance in place which has been difficult. The manager and nurses have kept me and my wife updated regularly, we were also able to speak to uncle via video call which he thought was amazing.
