View Full Details of Foxbridge HouseI have always been very pleased with the overall support and care that my mum has received since she moved from her previous care home in Lewisham. My wife and I brought mum down to the cafe on the ground floor, which is pleasant space used by family and friends. The drinks and snacks provided are always of good quality and plentiful. If I had a slight criticism on the day, it was that mum's hair looked like it need a wash, but overall the quality of care is good, and would always highly recommend Foxbridge Home.
I visited my mother in law with my husband. We took her downstairs to the care where she enjoyed a coffee and some snacks. The home is clean all the staff are very friendly and help us if we need to transfer my mother in law from an armchair to her wheelchair. On all the occasions I have visited I have been impressed with Foxbridge House. The staff always remember us and I know my husband is happy with his mums care.
Home always clean & fresh. Staff are helpful and polite. Food very nice. My review is only based on my experience as a regular visitor.
My mother has been resident at Foxbridge House since July 2024. The outstanding feature of the home is the embedded culture of kindness amongst the staff. This isn't an easy thing to achieve. It requires a lot of work and input from everyone - from the point of recruitment, through training, processes and procedures and regular supervision. Well done to all the staff for achieving this. It contributes so much to the feel of the home and the services provided. The home is purpose built and well designed, with a cafe for visitors, a lovely cinema room, spacious corridors and rooms and a two beautiful and accessible gardens. There is a wide variety of activities managed by an incredibly enthusiastic lifestyle team. Congratulations to all the staff for achieving such high quality care in such a kind environment.
A warm welcome awaits you at Foxbridge House. In reception you will find Cherry's cafe, offering delicious homemade cakes, cookies and a wide range of coffees and teas. This is a relaxing area to visit with mum and other family members. In this ground floor area, you will also find the hairdressing salon, a very comfy cinema and the management offices, with a kind and helpful management team who operate an open door policy. The resident's rooms , are spacious with huge windows and lovely drapes. It is also well-furnished. However, the furniture is a bit dated and could benefit from some upgrading. The carers and nurses are caring and kind working jolly hard to give the best care to your loved ones, but when they are short-staffed though, I notice the dip in service. My mum has difficulty chewing, so the kitchen provides a variety of creative and well-presented soft foods, which she enjoys eating. I'm very grateful to the team for taking such good care of my mum.
Foxbridge House has proven an ideal environment for my mum in law. She had previously been in a care home which was not sufficient to her needs and where she was not happy. The move to Foxbridge has been transforming, she has room to walk at will, which has helped with her general health and fitness and the staff are friendly and kind. She does join in with the activities. When asked she will tell you that she likes the home and she is so obviously content to be there. She seems to be much more alert and engaged despite her advancing dementia. The facilities are comfortable with a variety of places to sit and interact, from the cafe to the lounge to the cinema and safe garden areas. What you won't experience here is a cramped lounge full of ranks of seated old people staring blankly at a blaring TV screen. The food is high quality, fresh cooked and varied and the home is well run with qualified nursing staff on hand when needed. I would highly recommend it.
I am writing this on behalf of my father who came to visit the home looking for a suitable accommodation for my mother who has Alzheimer's. He was so very impressed with how clean and luxurious the home was. He said the staff were very friendly and he felt confident mum would be well cared for. Unfortunately for us the home is too far from us and dad felt the journey to visit mum would be too much. Other than the distance, he highly recommends this home.
To all the amazing staff at Foxbridge House. We would like to thank them for all their help in settling our relative into their care home.
My wife was admitted to Foxbridge House on the 31st of July 2024. Unfortunately, she was more ill than we had realised and she passed away on the 23rd of August 2024. During her short time spent in the home she was exceptionally well looked after. The staff there are superb at their jobs and my wife was as happy as she could have been considering that her health was failing each day. The home is to be recommended.
My father recently stayed for an 8-week period of respite and I could not be more pleased with the care he received. The home itself has a wonderfully spacious and airy atmosphere which made every visit feel welcoming and comfortable. One of our favourite features was the lovely garden, a sanctuary where we could go for daily walks and enjoy fresh air with his wheelchair. Cherry's Cafe on the ground floor was another high, it provided a perfect spot to sit and relax away from the residents' lounge where we could enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake. It's such a thoughtful touch that made a big difference to our experience. Placing a loved one in a care home is never easy, but knowing that my dad was in such safe caring hands, gave us great peace of mind. The team here went above and beyond to make his stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you to everyone involved.
Foxbridge House is a pleasant care home, residential and nursing home. The staff are highly skilled, pleasant and always helpful, all the staff. the residents are treated very well and with dignity and respect and as individuals. Residents all appear happy and settled including my uncle. We feel very reassured that he is well cared for happy and settled. 'Thank you' to all the management and care staff and team for making Foxbridge a happy home for all residents.
I arranged for my wife's discharge from the hospital to Froxbridge House. The room she was given was very spacious with excellent full-length windows onto an outside seating area. The facilities at Foxbridge House are first class. The staff are always welcoming and supportive and the food/menu choices are both excellent. The general atmosphere is light and comforting. All in all highly recommended.
After a brief visit to hospital, I was delighted to return home to Foxbridge House. Everybody is kind to me and very helpful, especially when I need a shower and toilet. Carers smile a great deal. The food and snacks are excellent. I wish that my carer would clean my glasses each morning. People welcome my husband and are kind to him and let him help me at meal times.
My wife can be very challenging, particularly because she does not understand the spoken word and is unable to speak. Her care is consistently outstanding. Carers show a full understanding of her many needs and are always kind and patient and undertake whatever is necessary and however difficult. The management team are always accessible and very helpful. Relatives are treated with kindness and care.
On the 6th of June 2024, we celebrated D. Day with a party and live performances in the garden. The staff decorated the garden with bunting and we were served snacks and drinks in the sunshine. I enjoyed it very much what a wonderful day.
The way the home is set out is great the care is where you come in is laid out so everyone has enough space. The corridors are wide enough for people to pass if someone is in a wheel chair the garden is beautiful and well-kept. If there is a problem I see the nurse or management. Last month they had the D Day celebration out in the garden and it was amazing.
Although putting your family member into a care home is not always what you would want, knowing that the staff are kind, caring and helpful is a needed reassurance. I send them my heartfelt thanks.
Thank you to all the staff at Foxbridge House for your care and kindness and made my stay here a very happy time.
Most of the staff are brilliant and caring but dad is not so keen on the night staff. Clean room dad and looked after. Have a joke and a laugh with some which is great and they are patient with him. The kitchen on our floor - cut and cutlery is really unclean. Would be good to have a variation on desserts, always the same but on the whole nice food. The cafe downstairs is great plus dad loves selecting a cake as a treat. Also, the laundry is very good.
I am very happy with how the home is managed and run. The majority of staff are lovely and friendly and generally my dad is very well looked after. The facilities are fantastic and the garden is lovely to look at and is always kept well maintained. It's nice to know that we can leave him there and know that he will be looked after.
