I feel safe here. The staff - management, carers, cleaners, people in the laundry/the kitchen staff and those dealing with meds are excellent. Kindness, patience, thoughtfulness, care and friendliness are always present. Although there is nowhere like your own home and there are niggles - I am happy here.

I wanted to praise the hospitality staff at Wetherby Manor. The manager and his team are wonderful. I have been visiting Mum most days for over a year now. They have always offered me a drink and infact now it just arrives!! A lovely touch! The bar and dining room are always immaculate and nothing is too much trouble. I know a lot of effort goes on behind the scenes to ensure things run so smoothly. Mum is looking forward to the new chef starting on Monday andI really hope he fits in and is an asset to the team.

The vulnerability I was beginning to feel at home was soon dissipated when I came to Wetherby Manor for respite care after a short stay in hospital. I can say, without hesitation, that every member of staff is empathetic and dedicated to caring for each and every resident to the highest of standards and professionalism. The highest priority is given to the well being of each and every resident, from the comfort of the accommodation to well cooked and nutritious food served in sociable surroundings with care taken with individual tastes. There are various opportunities for social interaction if you should wish from concerts to quizzes to handicrafts and films to watch. Of course it goes without saying that the medical care is second to none.

My very elderly grandma is a resident at Wetherby Manor and myself and/or my family visit most days. Although she can get confused and forgetful, my grandma only ever has nice things to say about the staff. She likes seeing them when they check on her or when they take her downstairs, and they brighten her days. We feel they know her well and always treat her with kindness and patience. The staff respond well to any queries and nothing is too much trouble. It was a difficult decision moving her into a home but we definitely feel reassured that Wetherby Manor is the best place we could have found for her.

We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to you and all the caring staff at Wetherby Manor. Our mum was with you over 3 years and we are so grateful for the care and professionalism of her care. We are extremely grateful that our mother was able to spend her last week in the peace and comfort of the nursing floor. Please pass on our thanks to the staff who were so kind to us during her stay and on our mothers last day.

My sister and I took time to find the right care home to support our mother. Having visited a number of other homes, we are confident Wetherby Manor is the right home. Wetherby Manor provides first class care and treats residents and family with friendliness and dignity. The staff have been very good in supporting our mother and we have total confidence in their ability. Thank you.

Staff and management always greet you with respect. Staff on second floor always very kind and give the patients their attention. Nothing too much trouble for the relatives and patients. Food always good.

My aunt and uncle have received exemplary care here. The manager leads an excellent team. We are really grateful to Wetherby Manor for everything they have done for my aunt who is now 'end of life' and they can perfectly facilitate her needs. I highly recommend Wetherby Manor.

Impressed by welcome and cleanliness on entering the home. Staff always attentive in all areas. Very much like the open spaces around the home e.g. corridors. Good feeling about the place.

My grandfather was a resident in the nursing floor. I can't thank the staff enough for the care they gave to him and to all of our family. Everyone from the managers to the maintenance man took time to chat with us and make us feel at home. I would like to thank the nurses and carers especially for the care and compassion.

We are afraid that our experience on the nursing floor of this care home was not good at all. They were understaffed and resident was neglected on numerous occasions. There were no organised activities for residents despite these being advertised. Other floors might be better but not the nursing one.

I visit Wetherby Manor every week to see a friend and do her hair. I have been doing her hair for nearly forty years, since I was 16 years old. She is a lovely lady and always likes everything just right. Things matching, always dressed smart and clean. She has gone into the Manor and she still looks very smart. The carers are very lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend Wetherby Manor to people.

My mother was in the Wetherby Manor for a month before sadly she passed away. We experienced the ground floor for a short time and then my mother was end of end-of-life care in the nursing suite. I was absolutely delighted with how the nurses and carers looked after my mother. She passed away peacefully and the care was superb.

Overall the home is a very caring and safe place for residents. It is undergoing a refurbishment which was needed as chairs/tables were too low for elderly residents to use. I have found management quite distant at times and that requests for items to assist my mother have not materialised. Footstools for instance. I do not feel the activities are very diverse and would like more one on one for my mother. Rotation of staff is also hard as I don't know who will be in. They still don't wear name badges all the time.

The end-of-life care was superb. My brother-in-law was treated with great respect and dignity. Following his death until he left the building with the funeral directors and a member of the clergy, his treatment was exceptional. The staff were superb, I cannot praise them enough. Thank you, Wetherby Manor.

Wonderful care home, needed full nursing care for relative so very lucky to find somewhere so good. All staff are wonderful to people in their care.

Brilliantly run by a superb team of caring staff. Always difficult to make the transition from 'own home' into 'care home', but the team at Wetherby Manor couldn't have been friendlier or more accomodating. We need more people like these guys working in the Care Sector! Thanks to everyone for the excellent care provided.
